I have a 2010 Genesis 4.6 that I bought used 2 years ago, that has never been polished, decontaminated, etc. Looking to detail it myself , Perfect timing on this video Nick, God Bless!
Looks fantastic, Nick! I think it's great that the McKees Ceramic Coating can be applied outside if necessary. My garage space is limited, and I just prefer working outside anyway. May have to give this one a try! 👍
Can’t get enough of good how to videos. Getting ready to ceramic coat our Black Bronco Sport that we just purchased 2 weeks ago using your products Nick. I have a quick question, since this BS is so new, it was built in August, is it too soon to do a Ceramic coat?, should the paint cure some more? Thanks, Jack
Hi Jack, great question. The paint on your new Bronco Sport is baked on at the factory (like 99% of other new cars), so it's good to ceramic coat right away! The only time you need to wait 30 days is when the vehicle was painted at a body shop that doesn't bake the paint like they do at the factory. - Nick
Nick, FLEX PXE you used with the rotary attachment. What are the pads you use on that as my kit does not have hook-n-loop on the rotary attachment? Needing a selection of pads for that!
Since there is so much extra ceramic coating in the 4oz bottle, does it make sense to apply a second coat? And do you have any videos that address motorcycle detailing?
I knew someone would ask that! I did this detail over the course of a couple days, so it's difficult for me to say exactly how long it took. If I had to guess, I'd say between 12 and 16 hours. The most tedious aspect of this detail was using the 1 inch pad on the Flex PXE80 to polish the corners/edges of the glass. This took forever. Literally every square inch of this vehicle was covered in awful water spots. - Nick

Take a few before and after photos, Jon! God Bless you too!
Good video Nick. The FJ looks great.
Thanks Mike! - Nick
Great job. I just did my 1st DIY coating a week ago. I learned a lot, and while likely forget by the time I have another vehicle to coat.
I'm glad Nick mentioned the glass, because I was about to mention something about that just when he talked about it.
God bless you brother, thanks for the video!!!
Amazing transformation! Great job
Excellent video!! Thanks for sharing. The FJ does look awesome after the polishing and ceramic coating 👍👍
You are a detailed beast. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great video. What product did you use on the plastic fenders and painted/coated side steps?

The lighting is better too.
Great video. Thanks, what do you use for the trim?

Nick, I am going to do my first FJ soon. That white top feels rough or chalky, what do you suggest for that area of the car?

Can the ceramic coating be used on graphics (vinyl), glass and trim?
How long did it take to complete the whole process starting with the glass?

Thanks for the reply. Looks great
After applying the coating do you throw away applicator or can it be cleaned and reused?
You can immediately clean the applicator with apc to be able to reuse it again although ceramic will build up with repeated uses.
Way shinier than mine before u polished lol
