I have to say the value you get from this product for the price is spot on! Ive used there ceramic coat on two of my personal cars. A year later the washing has been so easy! The water beading is still evident! And the shine is beautiful! I Recommend this product to anyone that may be on the fence about it!
Could you clarify, please? What's the difference between the carbon force and the hydro series?? And also, I got a new car. Do you suggest using the carbon force or the hydro series?
Wonder if that way is just for the product? There are other types of ceramic coating you can buy. Some are a type you can spray on. There is a type that you apply when wet after washing.
@@ChemicalGuys So overlapping the product is okay? I know that product is a bit like Glass Coat. Liquid and small applicator and small amount. Very hard to apply even coat.
Until how long do I have to apply additional coatings? ran out of product and it will take some days to arrive, can I still add layers even if days or weeks have passed since the first layer? thanks, awesome content and products.
From what I was told from a chemical guy employee a whole bottle should be able to coat at least 2-3 cars. I think you might have used too much since you could have added a 2nd coating no problem.
So I got the Ceramic Coat and washing soap as well as the Chemial Guys Clay Bar with the liquid from Amazon, BUT, question: Why do you need to clay your car IF ITS NEW? My car is brand new, about 1.5 months old. Do I have to use your clay bar PRIOR to the ceramic coat when the car is less than 2 months old? Thanks.
Hey! Thanks so much for your message. Even a brand new vehicle can still use a clay bar treatment due to vehicle transport and being on the dealership lot.
Hey! Even a brand new vehicle may require polishing. After washing the vehicle, inspect the paintwork to determine if polishing is necessary to remove swirls and scratches.
Hi Dean! Microfiber towels as well as the applicator will begin to hard after use with Carbon Force. They should be replaced unless washes immediately.
If you throw them right after use into a bucket with IPA alcohol and let them sit in there over night, it will prevent them from harden up. You can re-use them after washing them. But just to be safe i would properly reserve them just for the wheels or something. 😉👍
So after the 5 years (or so) is up and its time for the next application, do you just clean the car and put more on or do you need to do some sort of stripping / prep especially for another ceramic coating on a muli year aged one? Tons of info on new cars and first applications, not much for re-applications..... TIA
Is it really necesary to polish the car ? I can do all steps but I don't have a polish machine. What happens if I don't polish it ? I dont mind a few a tiny few imperfections. But would it lower the durability ?
Just did this to my new 4Runner! She's hidden away in my parents garage for now, but it's supposed to rain all week. It it ok for the car to be in the rain the first week, or is it better to hold out until after 7 days?
I have a crew cab shortbed truck would this one kit be enough to do the whole thing? And is it like wax would I want to do windows with it to help repel water?
Hi there! After polishing the vehicle, apply ceramic to a bare surface to ensure the best bond and then it can be layered with your favorite glaze, sealant and wax.
Hey! Even a brand new car is exposed to contaminants and situations that cause scratches and swirls which would be otherwise locked in under the ceramic coating.
So I just bought the kit and I definitely want to do 2 coats of carbon force. On some videos I see conflicting info from the chemical guys team in the comments about wait time; some say 3 hour before applying the 2nd coat and others say 12. Can someone clear this up please? Thanks😄

Hey John! Yes, this is the recommended method of application.
Neither this or any of the things you listed are ceramic coatings

Should i use Hydrocharge plus or this..u guys have alot of ceramic products..what do you recommend for a better result..
what polish is recommended before carbon force?
my car seems to be a magnet for dust and pollen. What do you recommend for ant-static properties?
Hey! Use Synthetic Quick Detailer to reduce static cling.
I would find a wax that is super slick I find the slicked the wax the longer the car goes until it gets dirty again

hi i just got a brand new car and its dusty, do i still need to polish it? or just a quick normal wash is enough? what do you recommend me to do?

Great breakdown. Prep work is crucial for sure.
Thanks so much for tuning in!!
@@ChemicalGuys always.
Does this help with dust sticking to your car ?
Are you washing the Microfibre towels for re-use after this - or is it best to throw them?

Is it recommend to apply Hydroslick afterwards for the wax properties?
Hey Ruben! Add HydroSlick for even more gloss, depth and protection.

Hey! Machine polishing may be necessary to remove any remaining ceramic.

Hey! For best results, machine polish the vehicle before applying coatings.
can you skip the vss if its a brand new car?
Absolutely!!
Is that little bottle big enough to do a full size truck?
Absolutely!

Hey! As long as Carbon Force has had 12 to 24 hours out of the elements, it will be fine to drive in the rain.
I have a crew cab shortbed truck would this one kit be enough to do the whole thing? And is it like wax would I want to do windows with it to help repel water?
Hey! Yes, when used properly you will be able to coat your entire truck.
So what comes first buff and wax or ceramic coating or is it one or the other ??

Glad you enjoyed it!!
I have a new truck. Do I use Carbon Force or the Hydro Slick/Hydro Charge combination. I am confused.
Hi Michael! Both are great options however Carbon Force will provide a longer lasting layer of protection.
Will one bottle be enough for a truck
Absolutely!!
Why are you buffing it off after you put it on? Seems counterintuitive

I just used this on my truck an I have to little high spots what will knock it down please help
I believe he said if you get high spots you need to go back over it with polish and then re apply!
