    I like this a lot better than some of the single layer ones that have unfinished seems and make you fold under the casings..which is difficult. sewing a line for a casing looks much easier

    Thanks so much for the tutorial and pattern. It is tricky but I managed! I wonder who invented the reversible diaper pattern. Complicated but it works!

    Had the same thought about 2 openings! I guess I’ll find out when I make these! Thinking the case opening would be pointless, so ill leave that out! Otherwise these are AMAZING and I’m excited! NO MORE FOLD OVER CASINGS!

      hello, I found this video because I can't do fold over casings either, lol. however i was curious if you ever figured out if you need the two openings on the leg holes. the second opening that is made doesn't seem necessary but did you find out it is necessary afterall?

      GodlessGoddess No you do not need both. Think it was just an accident on her pair. You only need the first one, don’t need one in the stitching.

    This is what i did . Ieft the opening for the electic inside. Just enough to get the pin and elestic through.
    . Do this before you close the wasteband.

    I have the same question as Monica Martin below. I understand leaving an opening to thread the elastic on the initial leg and waist seam. But why leave an opening when sewing the casing seam? Otherwise, great tutorial! I'm sure I'll have to watch it again when I get to that final waist seam. Looks tricky but do-able!

    There's a small pattern piece (semi-rectangular about 1"x2") labeled Back B. What is it for? I don't see it used in the video. Thanks!!

    Thanks for this great tutorial. I adapted it to make toddler training pants with printed PUL outer layer, and so far it seems to be working.

    Hello Telafante. I just downloaded the pattern for the reversible diaper covers, thank you so much. just one question about the actual printing. do I need to adjust my printer to 100% there doesn't seem to be a little 5cm or 2inch mark to be sure i'm printing at the correct size. Thank you. Tricia.

    1:55 was no fun figuring out. MAKE sure your side seams match up. I had to play the video at quarter speed because she was going too fast. YIKES!!

    Question, please clarify, when you first lay the two sides together to sew along the leg openings, you say to leave an opening, then then it is time to sew for the casing, you say to leave an opening, so does that mean in total you leave two openings? That doesn't make sense to me.

    what elastic do you use and measurements?

    • @telafante6996
      @telafante6996  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The elastic for the legs is 3/8" wide and about 9" long for each side. The waist elastic is 1/2" wide and about 19 inches long. These fit my 8 month old and still fit her at 16 months. She was a chunky infant! Thank you!

      TELAFANTE im finding my elastic is going all the way through and im left with it being over stretched and its not scrunching up towards the end. im confused why its doing this. what kind of elactic are you using. the stuff i was using is braided elastic. should this matter? thanks for measurements x
