The reason the checklist has the fuel off at first activation of the start switch is because you start turbine helicopters with the fuel off until the engine rpm raises above a certain level ( you need fresh air flowing through the engine) otherwise the engine will have a “hot start” and will melt/be damaged. Essentially the “start” button should be motoring(start turning) the engine and firing the igniter (think spark plug). At this point it’s just shoving fresh air through the engine and compressing it, at a specified rpm you open the fuel to idle to allow ignition. Though I have no experience in sky cranes it’s the same principles as in the bell 206 which I have flown. Fancier helicopters have a computer controlled start sequence
the fighter plane and cute pink plane in the background were awesome haha. Could imagine hovering a helicopter must be so difficult, considering it’s hard even with fpv drones
The rear door is the main entrance used by all three pilots. PIC sits left seat. SIC pilot sits in the right seat. The rear seat is for the rear pilot who only flys the loads when doing precision longlining /construction work.
My uncle works at a company that has 4 of these so we get to walk around when they are in hangar for maintence they are freaking HUGE irl and the size of the blades is truly astonishing
That was unexpected ! I saw this in the sim as an available plane and it looked like just a random vintage helicopter, pass. Then Milviz posted on facebook have a look at the skycrane we built for msfs2024, and now you fly it and it has a glass cockpit ?!?!? I'm gonna have to take a look at this !
Not as of yet hopefully that'll be a thing in the future... note I haven't had any issues with career mode... just a few bugs but nothing that breaks the game
In the next update, Microsoft and Asobo should return to saving data, planes and airports on disk, not in the cloud. This was the case in MSFS 2020 and it worked, which does not change the fact that loading and loading everything in the cloud is a bad idea. Let's hope that a better solution is found in MSFS 2028, more capacious and durable servers are introduced and the game is NOT introduced to Game Pass on the day of release. And phase out the use of artificial intelligence everywhere.
There was an update from Microsoft yesterday, which Im planning to start doing Sim Update videos. They said that 99.99% of the issues with the servers on their end have been fixed. But they have 2 new patches coming 1 next week and another one the week after. So they claim on their end theyre running fine...
any tips on settings if i dont have a deadstick? did few licenses but my wrist hurting real quick from holding the flight stick in a forward position non stop~
sorry if you already stated this but what are your pc specs please as your sim looks gorgeous? Also I've got family near Glasgow (EGPF) so I stop by when I'm up there I agree its beautiful
@@StevesSimStationThere is absolutely nothing wrong with this sim on consoles now that the server issues are sorted. Don't get me wrong, there are minor issues that might popup, but they aren't isolated to consoles.
With the chinook this helicopters are the worst flying experiences in the Flightsimulator. It is nearly not possible to hover those helis over a electric pole. It is most frustrating. I think they are massively full of bugs. Flying from A to B is not the problem at all. But fullfill Cargo Lift or heavy equipment lift - Missions are bad ass..... I hate them.
@ yah I looked at Komodo simulations they’re about the only person I can find that makes a decent one but they have been sold out for the last like 6 months. I’ve got a full virpil setup for dcs but it’s not that good for heli work in msfs which is what I do the most

You can enter/exit using the door handle on the rear door.

I found the trim on my joystick finally that I don't have to push forward... least on the VelocityOne Flightstick the left D pad is the trim
i cant seem to find a way to use the water pipe system etc. is it mission only or can you use it in free mode?

My xbox series x runs fine no lag first 2 days of release was not good but after game is stable I'm level 28 working on Comercial airliner license now

Watching the startup was actually frustrating to sit through.

I’ve had the same problem. I can hover the 407 or h125 for hours but can’t hover the skycrane or chinook. Did you find a way to make it easier
