This is more like most expensive wine regions, besides Rioja. Maybe make a list of your personal favourite regions, would be more interesting. You could even add categories like best value wine regions, best New World wine regions, strangest wine regions, most overlooked wine regions.

I love your wine videos! My favourite style of wine is no doubt the oxidative style, which I've come to associate with Rioja and Bordeaux from which one can get older vintages, but certainly also some younger wines from Italy, South Africa, Australia and others. Maybe you could do a video about that fantastic nutty, fig like, prune like, dried fruit like flavour from certain wines?

I understand your point of view with that 5 but in therms of richness I would put both Douro in Portugal above Rioja and Toscana in Italy above Piedmont. I love some Rioja top wines from La Rioja Alta for exemple and I also love some Barolos and Barbarescos but Douro with some fantastic Red's and whites and with that large variety of Ports (Vintage Colheitas LBV's Tawnys Rubi's and whites) and Toscana with their Chianti classicos, Brunellos Vino Nobilies Vin Santos and Bolgheries are just richer than that two regions that you mentioned in your video! Cheers 🍷

Best wine on Earth comes from La Pampa province, Argentina. There are unique grapes species that only grows there.

It is not because a wine grape is unique that it makes the best wines. It goes the other way around. It would be harvested everywhere like Chardonnay or Merlot if it could lead to make the best ones.

Do you have a video about getting most value for money? So - I live in Denmark - if I think about it in “bang for the buck”-terms - where should I buy wines from? I like high quality wine of course - but it doesn’t have to the absolute best - maybe I should be buying Chillean wine? No clue:)?

how do you possibly decide on which region? Here in Australia we have so many regions, including Margaret river in WA Barossa valley, McLaren vale, Clare and Edenvale and Langhorne creek, in SA then you have Bendigo, Nagambie and great western, here in Victoria. Then we have the Hunter valley in NSW. Too many just from ONE country.

There are so many other great regions in Spain, Italy and France. You have an amazing wine-producing country and still, there is something you cannot fully comprehend about Latin Europe. We have the best regions because we have the area where the best world cépages originated. We have the know-how and the terroir (truly passionate winemakers from fathers to sons for centuries).
ps: I visited other wine-making countries such as Australia and New Zealand.

@lc5698 agreed. I'm from NZ but there is no comparison between the top wines of Europe vs Aus/NZ. They are miles apart.

Don't know if I would put Rioja over Tuscany with super tuscans and Brunello

Toscana and Douro are both richer than Rioja and Piedmont. Rioja and Piedmont made some top wines but they are not as rich as Douro valley with their reds whites and with their large variety of Ports which some of them can age for centuries and Toscana with chiants, Brunellos, Vino Nobiles, Vin santos and Bolgheries for sure

Rhône? Amazing white and red. Much more than Rioja. Also Douro with Port, red and white should be there....
