My Craziest Nurburgring Ride EVER! Insane RENNtech AMG GT3 Lap

- Words fail me... experiencing the fastest lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife of my life in the RENNtech AMG GT3! After RENNtech's own AMG GT R Pro blasts around some quick laps including one of just 7:00.0, it's time to hop on board to experience a mind blowing 6:24.6 Bridge to Gantry lap of the Green Hell in a thoroughbred racecar.
The RENNtech Track Experience at the Nürburgring Nordschleife brought together an incredibly array of AMG GT Rs and GT R Pros amongst other serious machinery, including both my SLS Black Series and GT R Pro. None standing out more though than the RENNtech R760 GT R Pro running some very quick laps during the trackday including one of just 7 minutes dead, faster than the official lap record even for the GT R Pro that Mercedes set of 7:04.63 by almost 5 seconds and almost certainly there's more to go.
However, the unique opportunity to enjoy a ride onboard the AMG GT3 is something only offered by RENNtech in this way; as if straight from the N24 or VLN races, it's an opportunity to hop on board in this case with Manuel Metzger to really get a feel for what a car like this is, and my goodness it does not disappoint. Blasting around the Green Hell the ride is over 30 seconds quicker than I've ever experienced before, thanks to the slick tyres allowing the most insane levels of grip and with brakes that seem to bring in vast amounts of power at the last possible opportunity. It takes some understanding to mentally interpret how on corners where normally a car needs to brake, the GT3 allows the driver to still be under foot flat acceleration.
Naturally I had to follow up with some laps in my GT R Pro, probably the quickest I've ever driven it as I get to learn the lines and route better than before, but obviously having to pay close attention to not trying to copy the GT3!

The driver of the GT3 car is absolutely phenomenal! He was pushing hard but his knowledge of the Nurburgring was spot on. Shmee's face was priceless too! Hahaha

That GT3 lap was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen. I watched it with headphones on and was totally immersed in it. Some of the cornering speeds actually had me giggling out loud. What a machine.

Splendid Cookie he’s family own a successful business if I remember right, but originally shmee use to do loads of car spotting videos in london and car vlogs, thats what got him so famous and able to start affording better cars ect
After watching GT3 lap, Tim's lap feels like granny's 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not to hate or anything but it kind of was driven like a granny, he brakes so early, sometimes he could just engine brake and still go around a corner and he slows down so hard before the compression on the straight. But fair play, he was having fun in his GTR Pro for sure and that's what matters in the end.
@@Kadet1337 There is a reason for it. Robert explained in one of his videos. He doesn't want his taxi cars to be going over curbs or pushing hard at the compression. They never drive flat out otherwise his business won't be profitable.
At this rate we are going to see a video about a lap in the 5s pretty soon. Legendary content as always.

What a ride!!! I could tell several of the "jumps" were a little unsettling, as I'm sure you wanted to come right out of the seat! What an AMAZING feeling!! I could tell you were loving every second of it. The amount of time he keep the accelerator flat through several of those sections was incredible! Great video, Tim!

Having been privileged to drive the GT3 I concur with Tim’s assessment. It’s astonishingly powerful brakes do their best to throw you through the windscreen and the aero, with its surfboard size rear wing, mean cornering speeds are taken to a whole new level. It really is a thing of beauty.

It's good to see how calm the driver stays in his seat and how much Shmee is been thrown up/down/left/right, passenger hot seat ahoi! Also it's good to see and hear, that the car mostly seems to have enough reserve of power, grip and 'smoothness' to save more seconds if it will be pressed out for one fast lap. Also the smooth and easy driving ...nessesary for quick time upthere.... Well done all three of you !

What an epic lap! This perfectly illustrates the difference in performance between a super-high performance road car and a true race car. Power (or rather power/mass) is only part of the equation. Aerodynamics, suspensions and tires make a huge difference.

Shmee legit looked nervous. Anyone who has ever driven a car at speeds exceeding 130 vs a passenger in a car at or above those speeds understands it feels twice as fast when you're a passenger. I would tap out 30 seconds in!!!
I think it also comes down to the control factor!

That was insane watching how much grip he had through the corners. That was definitely a ground missile. This video series your doing from the RIng is the BEST!. Please just pack up your operations and move to the Ring and shoot footage full time. Talk about exciting! He was smiling when he putted the helmet on and because of the tight fit, it saved his smile all the way through the entire lap... at schwedenkreuz when every normal car would have went airborn, the superfast right after Kesselchen... how incredible this thing drives and handels is so crazy even on video!

I've done some quick laps round there, but that AMG GT3 lap is one of the best I've seen. The combination of the aero, tyres and incredibly late braking made it awesome to watch. Bet it was mind blowing to be the passenger.
