My SLS Black Series is a RENNtech BEAST!

- My SLS AMG Black Series has been transformed by RENNtech and it's now an absolute beast! Straight from the installation of the full R1 Package, it's immediately onto the Nürburgring Nordschleife for some laps to feel the power, and experience the sound. There is no question, this car is epic!
After visiting RENNtech Europe a few days prior as the work was being started, this time it's back to the workshop at the Nürburgring to collect the car and hear it for the first time. The R1 package has been fitted which consists of the headers along with 200-cell high-flow sports cats, with a tune to take power from 631hp to 675hp, although there's still some checks to be done as to why mine reported a lower output before. But it's not just a performance increase, it's going to be getting a whole lot louder and more aggressive, allowing the 6.2l NA V8 to have a thunderous sound.
With a cold start in the workshop to kick it into action, there is no doubt that the new sound is brutal, but that becomes even more apparent upon a drive on the local roads. Taking it to the Green Hell for some laps is a whole different ball game, a noticeable pickup in power, but the sound, oh THE SOUND!

It's epic, that's all there is to say! The RENNtech upgrades to my SLS Black Series have transformed it into a beast, with a thunderous sound and endless smiles during some laps on the Nürburgring. This car has just become even better!

Yep. Been watching since middle school (28yo) and he has never missed a beat. There are some other ytrs that could easily bring us crazy content but they play themselves time and time again.

I watched the podcast the other day and really enjoyed hearing more about Tim. Car Chat should easily have over 100k subs with the quality of content he makes
Having around 900 hp RWD car would end up not being able to go full throttle since the rear wheels are holding back that much of power. You don’t need a high HP to be fast around the track. An example is the GT3 RS. You only need 520 hp to be able to go 7 minutes or less consistently.
SLS BS is pretty much a track car. If you’re talking about the 720S, then sure why the hell not I would definitely put 900 horses on it.
Love the sls Black, one of my ultimate dream cars. Also loving all the nurburgring content.

Ante UP Idk it’s just my favorite car. I’ve always liked its look and everything about it. But it’s just a preference and everybody has a different taste. I think both cars are a product of great engineering.

Tim!! I’ve been watching for some time. You learned how to really drive this year! When you’d stopped talking and started giving the SLS the beans at the end your driving was impressive. Real confidence showed up.
I’ve driven the Ring two years in a row and I track in S. Florida. Now that you’re bringing some real hard driving impressions to the mix your brand is poised to explode. Keep it up and go visit Spa and other tracks with these cars. It’s what I want to see more of! You know you’ll love it!
