    Edit: thanks to a few comments, I have since learned that the gun bay covers sit forward on the wing! Thanks to the people that kindly let me know!

    I don't want to spoil the pleasure of this beautiful model, but I think the lids above the weapon pits are hinged at the front edge. This ensures that the airflow will not tear the lids off in case the breech fails.

    Wow, I'm impressed. Not only are you talented and well spoken, but your video production is very good for this type of material. Well done. The only thing I noticed was that I felt the music didn't really match the era. I think something reminiscent of the 40s would be more engaging. That being said, keep up the great work. I've subbed. BTW, you can thank Quick Kits for directing me here.

      Hey there! I’m the guy who makes the music for this channel , what kind of genre music would you think goes more with the channel, I’m not really familiar with 40’s and 50’s music tbh. Thanks.

    • @richardgardiner9597
      @richardgardiner9597 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@pablosharples it wasn't meant as a critique of the music per se. The music in and of itself is fine, but something like 40s swing playing in the background would be more nostalgic for a WWII fighter. If you listen to some music by Glenn Miller, you'll get the idea. Sorry if it came off as a criticism of the music itself.

    Hello there! I am in the air cadets and I was at an event where I got a gift bag with one of these in it, I’ve tried building but I’m very confused on the cement part. Am I supposed to get that myself and how?

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! If the kit wasn't a starter set, you'll unfortunately have to buy some separately. If it was a starter set, however, you'd have been given a small tube of normal polystyrene cement - this is a little harder to use than liquid cement, however if you squeeze some out onto a piece of cardboard from the box, you can use a toothpick to apply it more carefully to the model. Hope this helps :)

    Thanks. Great video for us 'newbies' coming back to the hobby after 30 years away. Can I ask what psi's you spray at and how do you mask your canopies?

    • @ModellingWeekly
      @ModellingWeekly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many thanks! I normally spray anywhere between 15 and 25 PSI, depending on what feels right for what I'm spraying. In terms of canopy masking, I actually plan to release a tutorial soon enough talking through the 3 most effective ways to maski your canopies, so you may want to stay tuned for that. For the time being, the way I use the most is to lay a piece of tape over the section of canopy you want to mask, then use a toothpick to crease the edges near the struts. Then, with a very sharp blade (using very littl pressure), cut along those crease lines. Then remove the excess tape. It may take a few goes to o begin with, though once you get a feel for it it becomes second nature. Hope this helped, and again, I'll go into more detail in the video 🙂
