    The new steering wheel and upgraded seats are a MUCH needed interior upgrade. If that bumps the price by a few grand, then so be it. But at least you will feel like you are inside a special car.

      If the UK get those options, which knowing Audi UK, we won't.

    Had a chance to get the 2024 or 2025 RS3 and went with the 24 I spec’d out.
    The 2025 doesn’t look that bad, very similar to the pre face lift model. I appreciate the extra performance and that they took back the compact Nurburgring record. I think the 2025 will be a bit more expensive and the changes aren’t major enough for pre facelift owners to have buyers remorse. I’m really excited to see it fully released without the camo.

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I agree without a power upgrade the changes are minor. I think more power would have meant more sales but then it would be faster than an RS4/5 and Audi wouldn’t want that.

    • @Metalmilitia69
      @Metalmilitia69 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      The simple answer to that would be to increase the power in everything else lol

    • @chrisloydall8261
      @chrisloydall8261 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agree 100%.. I'm the same. Also, the average driver IMO doesn't need a Nurburgring record breaker, as great as that is. As you will never extract that performance from it. This new front also does look near identical to the previous gen RS3. Seems like we are going back in time with the styling, but then getting futuristic E-tron interior. Sounds confused to me.

    Thank you for this. I was literally in the works about to go and purchase the 2024 RS3 models, but after watching this video I will be holding off till they announce officially the 2025 model. I am disappointed that this car has sacrificed tech features and a better interior design ... hopefully the 2025 model would be a bigger boost. I'm torn between the 2025 RS3 and the new 2025 SQ6 E-Tron thats coming out as well.

  • @GuiuJr110
    @GuiuJr110 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    Honestly, I think the biggest change needed was for some parts of the interior, like the armrest area. In the current model, it's made of that cheap plastic that makes you feel like you're in a much cheaper car. And here in Spain, we're talking about a car that costs around 90k euros, so things like this are unacceptable.

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Realistically, that’s not going to change. If you want a high quality interior you will have to look elsewhere.

    Great video, but nobody has confirmed hp numbers, its a rumour thats spreading, but no official response. The only thing that is confirmed, is that the driver has said in an interview that the ecu has been recalibrated. 5 swcond difference is massive compared to the 8y using the same trofeo Rs, im sure it has more hp (even if they claim same numbers, its going to be underrated)

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks but they are confirmed. Audi put it in the press release with the track time. It may have different power bands that make it faster but it doesn't have more power. I wish they would give it more power!

    • @rob198
      @rob198 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @TechInTheCar I have read all the press releases that are direct from audi, they don't mention hp, they mention ecu calibration. The hp claim is coming from journalists and the assumption is the it's the same.

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You must have missed it, it says: 'Power is still provided by the legendary five-cylinder engine with 400 PS and 500 Nm torque. In combination with the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slick tires, the 19-inch ceramic brake system, the RS sports suspension with adaptive damper control, and the optimized chassis setup, the 2.5 TFSI now propels the RS 3 even more spirited around bends. All underscored by its distinctive deep-throated roar, thanks to its signature 1-2-4-5-3 firing sequence.'

  • @knight2425

    • @TechInTheCar

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that is correct because it doesn’t have the capacitive sensors built into know your holding the wheel. This new wheel is the first flat bottom (and top too) that the new generation wheels work with. Any existing flat bottom Audi wheel used pressure sensors which are not compatible.

    • @RSKenzz
      @RSKenzz หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had a Q4 for a day and they work very well, although feel a bit cheap as the whole panel rattles when pressing a button on either side. I like it as you still do need to press them.

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน

      The design of the Q4 wheel is very cool and makes it fun to use. You get used to capacitive buttons but they can still be accidentally activated or you can swipe a bit too far or on the wrong thing.

    I'm so curious about the exhaust and sound system. Will it be an Akrapovic like in new S3 or "standard" sport exhaust? Also will it be a Bang&Olufsen (I hope so) or Sonos like in new S3. Can't wait to configure this car.

    • @TechInTheCar
      @TechInTheCar  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I expect it to be SONOS, but let’s be clear - it is just a badge on the sound system, it is just the better sound system option for the A3. As for the sound - the car doesn’t look to have different exhausts. It may be an option to have Akrapovic but too early to know for sure.

    • @luciussander8217

      Bearing in mind how bad the B&O is in the current var, you'd better hope they've done something to improve it. I have an RS3 8Y and it's one thing that's super bad.

    • @TechInTheCar

      Maybe but it would be very expensive as it’s not the screen that’s different it’s the software and I assume you would need to change the hardware ECU. I would contact an Audi retrofit specialist for that! I am not an expert.
