I have an s3 Black Edition on order similar to the spec you drove here For me these cars are ideal, not just for the price, but for the size. I’ve owned larger cars before but living in the UK I’m tired of owning a large car on our overly congested roads so the size of this is perfect It’s been frustrating having to buy a bigger car to get a premium interior so thankfully this is become more available in smaller cars as the larger models continue to grow in size
A few things (as someone who owns a UK spec Vorsprung model): - In the UK the Vorsprung dashboard isn't carbon, it's aluminum. - The button at the very bottom right on the center console is the shortcut to the menu where you can turn off the annoying speed limit alert, you don't have to go through multiple menus as shown in this video. It is still less convenient than just holding down a mute button though. - The Sonos sound system is a massive downgrade from the previous B&O, it's absolutely terrible.
I agree but I think it's to do with increasing sales in the s-line cars which makes them more money due to higher number of sales. The badging changes are a business decision more than anything
Audi’s decision to alter the badging on their RS and S models dilutes the distinctiveness and prestige these performance vehicles have earned. By removing the model name from the red rhombus and placing the red rhombus on non-RS and S models, Audi blurs the lines between their standard and high-performance offerings. This not only confuses consumers but also undermines the exclusivity and brand differentiation that enthusiasts value. Such a move risks alienating loyal customers who seek clear, recognizable symbols of superior performance and engineering.
Recently bought a35 AMg facelift but your are right very harsh go kart like , handles amazing quick as hell sounds better . So my wife wants bit more refinement so back to s3 for me
Got a black S3 Vorsprung coming next week with red callipers, but standard exhaust as the Akrapovic, is £4150 extra (8%) crazy. Can’t wait, it’s being PDI’d at the moment
Exactly. Exactly. Backed up. Solid statement. RS-5Pot3. We’re being mugged off. Merc bringing back v8 to c63s. This automotive world been mad last 5 odd years.
Who's being mugged off? Why are you so angry? The car looks like a big improvement. The RS3 is shaping up to be even better. Lay off drinking ang go to therapy. You got some anger issues.
I don't like that they slightly squeezed the frame grill and the hommage three design vents of the vintage quattro were removed but its wonderful that they upgraded and expanded the interior ambient lighting but also upgraded the cup holders (pre-facelift was cheap joke). They finally have the upper door panels covered in leather and softtouch - at least for the front passengers - the rear remains cheap with hard plastic. I hate that the classic Audi gear shifter known from the A4 upwards doesn't find it place but becomes replaced for a stupid light switch. One more thing I absolutely categorize as a major flaw in design and quality is the Fond rather said the rear design and vents of the center console. The armrest is just stacked on top with a mechanism exposed as drumbell - its poorly integrated. Come On Audi you know you can do better.
@@BoredToDeath182 my bad. I use them interchangeably sometimes. Either way, need more choices of both here. Not many can afford the six figure RS6. Another choice is that M3 wagon but still that’s six figures and has a dog shit front end design.
@@SStrunks I read that quite often, that you guys from the US want to have the wagons. I guess people just want things that are uncommon to them. I live in Germany and 23% of all cars on the road (official figure, hatchbacks not even included) are wagons, which make them the most boring and most common cars on the road. However if you drive a big pick-up truck here you are a rare breed and you will get a lot of attention. Anyway I would give up all wagons in a heartbeat if we could get the sound of the US models here in exchange. Sound was basically killed for all cars build after 2018 due to the GPF 😭 Enthusiasts don't even want the new models. For example prices for old F82 M4 without GPF are crazy high. G82 sounds like a vacuum cleaner.
@@BoredToDeath182 That makes sense. We want what we can’t have. And that’s a shame regulations over there has an impact on exhaust sounds. It’s definitely killing the enthusiast car culture. Need all the sounds for the full emotion and character of the car.
Front looks far too bland, no s3 badge is a baffling decision, seems a good car otherwise, basically now the same as the golf r, I’m still puzzled as to why the previous model was made inferior to the golf r. Germans seem to like spoiling things for the sake of it then make a big deal of fixing their mistakes.
Think it was mentioned in an Auditography video recently stating Audi have listened to these complaints re the badges and are fixing it….. whatever that means, and when.
I am only interested in whether the quality level is the same on the rear doors as on the front doors. I specifically checked on my Mazda 3 to ensure the quality is consistent throughout the cabin, and it is. That was a selling point for me because on the Peugeot 308 and Golf 8, the rear doors had hard plastic and it was obvious that they cut corners there. It’s disappointing 😢
I’ve recently picked up an RS3, UK ‘73 reg. You mention not getting as good as finance deal on used, it’s all about looking in the right places. Anyone in the UK look up Forza Finance, 7.9%. Audi UK are currently 8.9% on new and 11.9% on used! So you can definitely pick up an RS3 for lower % interest rates used than what they offer on new.
How many phone calls have you received due to showing numbers on screen lol. Had previous S3 8Y for over 2 years now and tested this new version a month ago. All ordered and due by Nov. I don't get VW's obsession with gloss black plastics. Works in few select places where they don't need to be touched, but big areas in physical contact ... Just cheapens the car in general. The price difference with brushed / matt material can't be that much bigger. Can it?
Hi , at 17:49, you mention that the s3 shifts the same in dynamic like your M2 does in comfort, are you talking about the shifts or the speed of the car
@@chrislegacy4883 fully agree. I got brand new S3. I had had Audi A4 B9 2.0 TFSi Quattro 252 KM and S3 gives much more fun and reliability comparing to my previous car. 🤘🔥🤘

Audi is becoming more and more attractive these days! Super curious for the upcoming RS5 Avant
Never mind keeping the gloss black clean; guarantee mechanics during first service will scratch it up!
