    I have to say MainGear and Puget systems are my two favorite system builder company's there workmanship is next to none and well worth the price

    Had to re-upload here. The first version was 1080p 60fps and we figured some folks wouldn't want the extra decode strain on the viewer end.

  • @Arvisgrt
    @Arvisgrt 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    i have the same case. Having the back rad in that position gives you terrible temps. It starves the fans big time. I have tried every position possible and back rad facing out, front rad push out with 2 bottom fans pushing in works okay.

    Sweet build I have similar specs except i'm running 3-way SLI GTX Titan X and my system is not water cooled as you can see on my channel.

  • @ThePhantomNetwork
    @ThePhantomNetwork 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    ok "Bro" exactly when was the last time you were at a LAN party ?
    The crew over at tek syndicate just had one and another technical channel did an ad-hoc straw poll only to find out that more than 3/4 of the polled audience of 2000 viewers never attended one, I haven't been to one since the 90's

      White Lotus i know this is a bit late. But my previous *laptop* had only a 960m and could handle gta 5 at medium-high settings at 40-60fps. Of course this pc can handle it.

    May I ask, how did they mount the rad at the back in that sideway position? Where did the screws go to? And do you feel that it's dissipating heat efficiently that way?

    how thick is the 280mm rad, Im looking to buy this case and want to make sure my rads are going to fit, also is there any space to mount mechanical drives?

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, I can't help you with the dimensions on the rad. The system was long since sent back to Maingear. However, I can tell you there is room on the back side of the motherboard area (right side panel removed, to mount additional 2.5-inch drives. However, I don't recall there being any 3.5 HDD drive bays available.

    Hi,that's pretty awesome. What is model of the EK-FC bridge which connected two GPU water blocks?

  • @Arvisgrt
    @Arvisgrt 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    its much more fun to make this on your own and save tons of money. all the part are out there. bitspower fittings ek blocks and rads and some petg tubing. But if your lazy then its a pretty cool system to buy. inwin 909 is kinda pain in the butt case to build in but it looks really nice. I have one myself.

    When the glass window Is attached how is the back radiator useful? the radiator is pointed at the window blocks airflow and I wouldn't want to have my PC open 24/7

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed that position for the radiator is not ideal. I realized this as well, after publication. However, I can tell you that it in fact does function pretty well still. Ultimately it's pulling air from the rear of the chassis in this orientation. It's not ideal for sure but gets the job done.

    Fluid does not reach the Top Card on the Bridge ?! I mean its running at 8:19

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does for sure. You just can't see it. It's a flow thing and there's always a bit of air in there. The fluid is running down the back of the tube in this case. The gap looks bigger than it is.

  • @Atilolzz
    @Atilolzz 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Which Soundcard does this PC have?

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It actually uses Asus on board audio which is a higher-end solution relatively speaking for integrated audio. I mention it I think. It's a premium Asus motherboard so better than most that way.

    • @Atilolzz
      @Atilolzz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sure is better than most, but since this PC has the BEST Processor which is overclocked, the BEST Graphics Card in 3 way SLI, I think it would have been nice if it also had the BEST soundcard, not "just" a very good onboard sound chip.

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Atilolzz Agreed, though free slots are at a premium with 3-way SLI and a PCIe SSD going on in there. In fact, all but one is used up and it would be tight to a graphics card if you populated it. Sort of one of those diminishing returns kind of things, depending on how important high fi audio is for ya.

    which is better 5960x or 6700k

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Redy B.S. Depends on your workloads. For hardcore gaming, a 6700K (quad-core) with boost to 4.2GHz should be faster than an octal core 5960X at 3GHz with boost to 3.5GHz. However, the 5960X in this rig is overclocked to 4.5GHz so it will rip past a stock 6700K in most tests. Games tend to favor clock speed (and cache) over multi-core performance to a certain extent, once you get to quad-core level CPUs and above. Most games just aren't that deeply threaded still but over time that's changing.

    How is this rig running with that giant air bubble in the gpu block?

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +runtrat9 that's not an air bubble. That's actually the proper flow level inside that area of the block. That cooling system is super powerful and it's very stable.

    • @Hothardware
      @Hothardware  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +runtrat9 Heh.. it's actually kind of cool to watch. When the machine gets load the levels change and you can see the flow of the fluid in that area. It's cool, literally. :)

    • @mbed0123
      @mbed0123 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +runtrat9 it sure looks like an air bubble to me

    • @mbed0123
      @mbed0123 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +HotHardware I've been liquid cooling for quite some time now I do not believe there should be any cap or discoloration between your blocks into the tubing as per the liquid. At 2:19 it clearly looks like an air bubble.
