      I'm pretty sure u can't, most modern cases don't make space for that anymore. U can just use an external drive for cds/dvds anyway, since... how many times do u use a cd a year? For me it's like 2 or 3 times.

      and at merz, if he's already satisfied with his game performance, why not satisfy the vision outside of the screen too? To me it's just about the same thing

    Wish it wasn't so expensive, because this is probably the most beautiful case I've seen. I do see why it has the hefty price tag though - most cases just use plastic "glass" sidepanels where the 909 uses real tempered glass, and two huge panels at that.

    Just so people aren't confused by this video, the In Win website has a full page dedicated to this case, and despite what you say in the video, the only fan mounting location that is limited to 120mm is the middle one between the compartments, all other locations can fit 120mm or 140mm. -edit- if you pause the video at 5:48 when he pulls the fan bracket off you can clearly see that it has mounting holes for a 140mm fan.

    So I am going with the in win 909 case and I will be all air cooled including a titan x and other high end components. Do you think temps will be an issue considering there is no front intake?

    • @G0DALMIGHTY
      @G0DALMIGHTY 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +commontheory The front intake is through the gap in the bottom. There is room up through the front to feed the two vertical mounted fans as well. While I haven't used this case personally I really doubt you will have cooling issues.

    I just gotta ask, kinda new to the hardware stuff but very curious, what the hell do you do with 6-10 SSDs? that seems like overkill to me, then again I don't quite understand this part of a computer just yet. (I got the rest of the hardware sorta understood). I get that your first/main SSD would have the OS on it and just replace HDD (at least that's what i'd assume youd do nowadays), but the rest?

    • @studog858585
      @studog858585 9 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @mccoolclan922

    Weird choice to only fit 4 3.5" built in casings there and then an oddly sized gap instead of fitting 6 and it looking more respectable.
    Writing this in 2019, was going to get the new 905, but after reviewing it I'd rather get this 909 as they're basically same price and although much older this is way bigger and bigger internal size and design makes it more versatile.

    optical drive? are they like floppies now - i have a so many dvds - how to play a dvd? use external??

    • @falconeranatolia
      @falconeranatolia 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +alphavortex1 Yeah i have the same issue. Not to watch dvds but to burn cds. I made a comment above regarding this. Your on the right track, you need an external slim drive. I considered in the crevice underneath the usb inputs.

    • @ChronicKPOP
      @ChronicKPOP 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +falconeranatolia I've had the 909 for a while now, never missed the DVD drive yet :) If I ever need one, I just plug it in the Sata cable I have already inside. it's becoming more rare that I need the drive - I can see it's on the way out now.

    Why the f*** does in win, among others, demonise optical drives? Surely they could have fitted a slim one up top or the front. 904 has it but its a small tight case & shit for fanning. However I do have a solution which doesnt entail any modifications to the unit. A slim external drive can be easily fixed (with blu tack etc) onto the base crevice underneath the usb ports. It may slightly hamper the effectiveness of the ventilation of the fans above, which the space is designated for. And the image of the unit; with the optical drives usb cable, permanently occupying one of the usb ports above it, but its worth it.

      +falconeranatolia meh, I made sure to put an optical drive in my 540 Air, back in early 2015, I have used it maybe 5 times. It's nice to have but not really needed.

    • @falconeranatolia
      @falconeranatolia 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Leigh Devlin You obviously dont play games from disk, nor burn cd music from converted mp4 files from youtube.

    • @G0DALMIGHTY
      @G0DALMIGHTY 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +falconeranatolia correct. I have burnt a few files for a friend and I admit the optical drives usefulness for this but normally I store all my music and videos on hard drives, usbs or my phone. As for games, I have bought a few hard copies of games since I have had this pc, but I am certian moving into the future digital copys will become more and more available and as I don't play older games I never actually play from disk.

    • @tuiso
      @tuiso 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      it just affects the aesthetic of the case too much as it's a drive that has to move outward, so it totally makes sense to remove it from a designing standpoint. Besides, external optical drives can serve the purpose just fine if you really need it.
