Best foam i have found for body posts is NERF gun bullets sliced into discs. Works really well, and compresses loads.

I love my V1 Carnage. Brushed, upgraded to a cheap brushless system, and it rocks. 🤘🏻
Pretty good little truck that. More than I expected having not heard of it before. You get so much more as a beginner these days.
It looks quite fun for what it is and who it's intended audience is. It actually looks like it might handle the skatepark. It looks really light and seems to be well balanced.
20ft vertically onto its roof seems to be the limit 😂
Happily the parts are cheap as chips.
Just had this brought for me for Christmas. New to RC cars. Only used it once since weather isn’t great. But can’t wait. Was recommended by for beginners .
FTX seems to have great RCs for the price. Too bad they do not seem common outside of the UK. They have nice nitros to 👍

Hmmm wouldn't mind getting one. Absolutely love my Vantage 2.0 that I put a 5200kv brushless set up in as it's simply nuts to drive
My FTX Bugsta got me back into the hobby last year and it is such good value for what you get.

Love the updates on this, and that body is sweet
The problem was with the motor mount not the car there is a hole or 2 holes that leds directly into the gearbox housing you can block the holes with a bit of hot glue or maybe some tape should help 👍
My vantage had that issue gravel got in and chewed the spur gear useless! I sold it

@freddiet8639 I don't have one no more but there on the motor mount it's self block holes with hot glue or tape hot glue will be better as you can yous it directly in the holes in the mount 👍

Hi there, totally new to this hobby getting into it because my daughter loves RC cars and wants to go to the next level of car. We often go over the park and skate park however her current one just doesn’t have the power, she has asked Santa for a new one for Christmas that can be used on a skatepark for some jumps and on the half pipe. I was recommended this car as the go to for skate park work for a new comer into the hobby by a hobby shop. I noticed you said it’s not good for skatepark I’m just trying to find some clarification I just need all the help I can get as I would love to get my little lady something special that will encourage her to further enjoy the hobby

The FTX carnage was my first ever RC car and I still have it with no issues. I did upgrade the servo but that’s it. Well worth the money

@@connormathieson7914 7 years. Don’t get me wrong, there’s been a few bumps and minor repairs but that’s down to bad driving. I don’t go bashing it but I do zoom it round the local skate park and my kids have a go too. They love it. If it’s your first rc car you can’t go wrong and parts/upgrades are cheap imo
Sweet mate I’ve just ordered it for my daughters birthday she’s four and wants an rc car probably bit over kill, but it’s really a toy for mee and her 🙈

I have a brushed vantage, which needs some work now I've been looking at maybe swapping it out for a carnage and using the vantage as a spares car. It was great for me as an entry into RC and I wanted something that wasn't too expensive as I wanted the kids to have a go too. We have lots of fun with ours and it seemed to take quite a beating.
I'm tempted to maybe pick one of these up....
Basically the same thing really both cars have parts you can interchange

Looks similar chassis to the ftx vantage it gets gravel and stones in the gears and chews them up quickly a right pain! So sold it! Now considering an arrma typhon 3s instead

Just taking this to the beach for something to muck about with during the day there, qould this be okay? Not looking to do it as a hobby, just dont want to be bored at the beach...and of course no sea water, sand only 😊

Double sided tape & a protection net, no issues with grit/ dirt then 👍😉

This is another excellent review. L think it should be called the FTX Smooth as you described it. Of course no one would buy it with that name. Carnage seems to imply a basher. It looks good and really jumped well.
I was gonna get this but are they too weak to do jumps with as I seen the turn buckles look super thin ???
Cheap and nippy, thats what Rc is all about if you are into fun

Having the slipper clutch set correctly on these FTX's is ESSENTIAL to protect the differentials.
The diffs are a bit of a weak spot, but as long as you have a little bit of slip in the clutch they'll last alright.
I can't tell you how many of those diffs I went through before I finally learned that lesson.! 😉 😉 😂 😂

What is the correct setting in your view and how do they come out of the box?
And how do you set the slip?

The throttle and other things are easily changed with the Etronix programming card :)

Yeah, I didn't like that Phil chickened out just because it's not "marketed as an extreme basher". Who cares? We want to see it bashed to the extreme! :))
UK biggest reviewer should review RadioMaster MT12 radio. It seams that only drone reviewers review this radio but not a single one from RC car world. I understand that RC car enthusiast live separate world and are not aware of EdgeTX operating system and ELRS radio protocol and binding procedure. But you should give a chance and learn this system as it has unlimited capabilities. We drone pilots that occasionally drive RC car will be switching to this radio. ELRS gives superb range.

Have to admit it seem pretty good. But how about the insane Arrma MOJAVE 4S BLX Brushless 1/8 4WD RTR Electric Desert Truck (White/Red) w/Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz Radio Yes it's 1/8 and yes it's in the £500 region, but . . . Trouble it these days, prices aren't stopping their ascent towards the stratosphere, so how long can we wait before buying one?
Finally a 1/10 truck. It seems smaller scale cars/trucks are more popular on the other side of the pond. Im in America where 1/10 and larger are more popular. Why is that?
