I've known Eddie for many many years and he is one of if not the best story tellers that's left in Ireland and thank God he has some of them on TH-cam Eddie please keep your amazing stories going
I stumbled across Eddie's podcast today and have been listening to him all day, you have such a lovely convincing voice and will be listening from now on. I would love to hear you speak to non believers, I was listening to newstalk a few weeks ago and the 2 lads in the morning were taking the piss out of cures and I would love to hear Eddie explain some to them. Thank you...
Not at all, Eddie Lenihan would probably be the most publically known one of our times but I'd say all counties have their own local seanchai. We have a fair few in my area of West Cork.
Thank you Eddie it's lovely to hear you tell and keep alive our heritage! With all our modern technology there is nothing as good as to listen to you tell stories so well always very enjoyable.
I had a dream one night while staying in Galway. I dreamed of the Sidhe. I remember telling them that they did not exist. They told me, "We exist if you believe we exist." I always will remember that. Padraig O'Raghallaigh.
He did a lot for folklore. Sadly, the programmes he did for r.t.e, are badly acknowleged on you tube. It seems that the modern industry has gone in a different direction. He has left something important, and continues to leave it.
I noticed that too. a few things crossed my mind.. maybe it was the fairies in the audience that were laughing... like a guilty nervous kind of a laugh? or maybe just a nervous laugh. anyone know if there's any update as he was still investigating?
cno10018 Have you ever thought of someone, and you haven't seen the person in a long time. You may not even have known them well, at all. But then, the minute they enter your mind out of nowhere they show up and they start talking to you. Who knows? But, it is very dam interesting the timing of it.
