I LOVE Eddie! You hang on every word of what he says & such fascinating stories. Although I'm English I have spent a fair bit of time in the past in Ireland & feel priveledged indeed to have witnessed old rural Ireland - that magical, wimsical, friendly, SAFE place that had an innocence & feel that you will not find anywhere else in the world! Such a shame that is now diappearing along with Eddie's wonderful story tellers. I have bought my son up on Eddie's stories from an old double CD of his I had so...... the fire is still alive! Thank you for the upload!
Those that are destined to meet, will always encounter magical happenings. It's in your blood, you are born into it. My life as been filled with such happenings ever since I was a child. I come from a gypsy background and the environment was perfect if you were born with your senses open/keen. You didn't have to go looking for it, it's as natural as the leaves on the trees, it comes to you, when you least expect it. I grew to be a poet and this attracted more magical encounters. I am now 40 and I see, hear less, yet I feel their presence never far. If we keep the fires warm, and keep the stories going, another may be born from it. There will always be one that will pass on the knowledge, each era will claim its people have forgotten their way, but in this age, it is true, at an alarming rate. So let's keep telling our stories and keeping the old way alive, like Eddie as been doing.
There's strange things done in the midnight sun. My dad grew up with Eddie and fished the river Feale with the Lenihans. That area Brosna is peppered with fairy lore. My grandparents place was built on a fairy path, or ley line... Lets just say, it was a strange place indeed....
I was in a car with an ex partner , on a dark country road we both seen a woman obviously a ghost crossed the road on front of us , the ghost was levitating se threw and heading some were, she was dressed in old Victorian clothes , I couldn't believe it , but my ex partners mother was/is a medium and it was only 1 of a number of things I witnessed while with her , Another time her mother described my mother who had passed , she described her to a T , my sister went to a reading in another county the man doing the reading told my sister that our mother wanted me to stay away from the family of my partner , scary stuff my mother knew somthing i didn't
He's so right about Irish people. It's not far below the surface with anyone no matter how smart or modern or cosmopolitan they think they are. They may say they don't believe but they still won't jibe too much or take a walk on their own around a fairy fort at night.
I'm Irish and I take this very serious. I hope to meet with Eddie this year to recount one or two strange happenings I would like to hear his thoughts on the True stories. and I have a witness on both. He will also meet the witness if I get to meet up with Eddie ... I hold Eddie in great respect and I listen to every word. Slan ..
Anna nicole Suix I think Ireland has been one of three or four world headquarters for the spirit people. They settled there particularly more than other places on Earth. The Irish even emphasize that they are in the form of common people walking around and are even people that are known at a conversational level with other people. It sounds like an ignorant witch hunt, I know; but I wouldn't be so sure; there may in fact be something to it. Does not the original Hebrew worded bible say that, "that three angels walked past some people, some couple; and the couple asked them to have dinner with them. The couple did not know who they were. The angels said they could not, that they had some business to do; but one of them who said to be the creator God agreed to stay for only a little time; and the other two left. So, I mean; there is alot of elusion to the idea that some higher minded and powerful consciosnesses often take human appearances. There is something strange though, in that it is true that not all seem entirely good. That's kind of sad. IF you have ever had a strange experience or psychic experience you would there is a possibility to it all being real and maybe they knew what they were talking about.
Animals , human form , gusts of wind , who can tell but it is best Not meet them rather than meet them. Also it is much safer for your health to leave them be than upset them. Oh Never upset them. I have been in many Faerie forts but I just walk through maybe have a look around but never disturb anything while in there. Best advice , let them be.
Seanie P, C I know, I really do. I have some odd stories I think I could tell, and I mean it.; and I probably will not, because every person would assume different things about it. The most common is that your lieing or crazy; of course (coincidences or you missed some cause and effect or may be a trick etc.) Even in America, some things can happen the same.
Lacy McDuffie Sorry Lacy, I didn't realise as nobody has said that to me prior to now....unfortunately, I did this as a college project in 2014 and I no longer have the sound editing equipment and software to make it better! Apologies!
Hello and Merry Christmas! The tune used throughout the programme is called The Lonesome Boatman. Beautiful piece. I think it might be Finbar Furey on the flute, but it’s been so long since I made this that I’ve forgotten! I’ll get back to you when I find out more! Thanks for your post!

The factory in Limerick he spoke about was Ferenka. Both my parents worked there at one time. My mother told me about that fairy tree before. Love it.

Great talk Sinead 👍
Great story teller and he is not nut's, I seen the fairies!!
onebird 40liverbird The idea is, they come as people. They take on human form, and they could be anyone. Not so much little creatures.
