Ranbir was fantastic but I agree Priyanka was brilliant. He wasn't innocent... just deaf and speech impaired and that frustrated him because he could not rise to his potential. It would be easier to make him sweet...his character was more believable because he had that underlying anger. First time I'm completely agreeing with Korbin.
I don't know but you both might have noticed the comedic yet meaningful lampost sequences which reflected trust and it was Priyanka's character who never left Ranbir's hand.
I so wish you guys also understood Hindi. Cause the songs in this movie totally elevate it to an other level. Songs capture the emotions so well. Loved your reaction on the acting. Priyanka surely deserves the level of respect you gave her!

Priyanka has a career of almost 19 yrs and none of her 2 roles are similar,she gas fetched the highest honours National Award and even one of the highest civilian honours Padma Shree by the President at a very young age..She has been proving herself since she was 17...She has won 5 Filmfare in different categories ,including the Best Villain...none of her contemporaries come close...Yet this woman is underrated,and has never been celebrated by her peers the way they celebrated Kareena,Deepika,Vidya or even Alia for that matter!
Celebrated by whom ? How can you call the highest paid Bollywood actress of her time as underrated ? It's the audience that decide market value not the industry. She was always in top 3 since 2006.. she had to face problem only in 2012 because of karan johar.. That's a different story.. As a thespian actress you can say she was underrated because she was always known for her stardom and glamour more than being an actress like Tabu or Vidya.

It was so interesting what Rick said about innocence. It made me realise that it's a little bit related to how we see people with disabilities. We want to pity them and protect them, and sometimes don't see them as people who can also be angry, bitter, mean , and just complex human beings. Not saying that Rick doesn't see them like that, just realised that about myself (and society in general maybe).

Although Rockstar is great movie but you will need to connect to its songs. It's very important and I am afraid it will be tough to do that when they are translated.

Anurag Basu tried to convey "Love needs no language" in Kites but the audience were lost in translation as half of the movie was in Spanish with no subtitles. He finally achieved it with Barfi.

It's understandable to go through a foray of emotions about characters after watching this film. It's because Priyanka completely slays everyone. And it takes one a second or a third watch to really focus on others performances. And I do recommend a second watch. Bcoz when I did I almost felt bad for not appreciating Ranbir enough. 😅 He was amazing !

Barfi and kahani came at the same time. Though Vidya's role in Kahani was excellent but not in comparison to PC. We don't know how all the awards went to Vidya and not PC. You got to request the makers of these channels to allow osr to react to their videos. Korbin shouldn't be expected to sit through hours of editing only for the videos to be blocked by yt for copyright issues. They reached out to aib but their reaction vids haven't been unblocked yet.

@@bjos2952 The Movie wasn't bad but on some levels insulting that they cast a North Indian girl instead of a North Eastern Girl, 70plus years after Independence and the director couldn't find one North Indian Girl or Actress to play the role of some one as Iconic as Mary Kom ( the real one)
No matter who acted or who would have acted...it was a very badly made (directed) movie...you look at all his movies and they are the same...bad.

Yes you guys are right, the film intended to make a shoutout to some Hollywood classics like Life Is Beautiful, The Notebook, The Kid, The Dictator etc etc...that makes the movie more nostalgic for movie lovers.
The scenes were probably plagiarised from "Notebook" . I felt so too.

U guys forgot to talk about music of Barfi (won lots of awards in music globally including all Asian countries film's best music) Music was the key to the film as there are less dialogues..
It's understandable to go through a foray of emotions about characters after watching this film.
It's because Priyanka completely slays everyone. And it takes one a second or a third watch to really focus on others performances.
And I do recommend a second watch. Bcoz when I did I almost felt bad for not appreciating Ranbir enough. 😅 He was amazing !

Barfi and kahani came at the same time. Though Vidya's role in Kahani was excellent but not in comparison to PC. We don't know how all the awards went to Vidya and not PC. Pc was vocal about it n she said that she deserved it on a show. We all know that.. I love her for that. Her confidence.. 😍
