Undoubtedly,barfi was one of the finest films of the last decade. Great reaction guys. Just want you to review "Kahaani" next, a national award winning thriller with astounding performances and direction. Trust me you won't be disappointed.
The region which this is shot is the state of West Bengal in eastern India, Darjeeling is on the northern part of the state on the Himalayas and Kolkata is the capital of the state.
I wish you guys focused more on how amazing Priyanka Chopra's acting in this film was. I loved Barfi and Jhilmil's story. It was true, unconditional love.
At 14:23 those were not Robbers in the bank. Barfi the Movie is Shot in Darjeeling it’s a Hill Station and it’s really cold there that’s the reason a lot of the people there where those Bean Caps/Mask due to the Cold Weather.
This is a town Darjeeling in the state of West Bengal. Kolkata is the capital of the state previously known as Calcutta. The other guys in the bank were not robbers, they were employees, the town is very cold so thats like a local cap one wears.
Another American reviewer mentioned that all the physical comedy was done as a Homage to Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin movies and showed the American movie clips with the same scenes from this movie.
@@feminaroy4874 That's not true. There was no mention of the 4 movies from where a few scenes were directly copied from. No mention in the credits or anywhere in the movie. The director never mentioned it anywhere. He said it one time because he was asked again and again in interviews. He denied it most of the time.
I don't think you guys catch the feeling and essence of the movie, as most time u focus on shouting just for views. Personally I don't like unnecessary rucus.
whenever people says wes anderson style to indian films i get so frustrated as it is the real india u are seeing wes anderson has himself said that he is inspired by indian styles for his movies
Yall didnt even talk about Jhilmil aka Priyanka Chopra and their chemistry and their relationship with each other. Yeah music is beautiful but yall didnt even talk about the story of Jhilmil and Barfi Also the editing was bad . Like u didnt show why Barfi was stealing money, you didnt show barfi testing Jhilmil and then falling for her . I know yall cant show all the scenes. But dont skip important scenes

But it is. It was tribute to the old classic silent movie era. Director himself mentioned it.
It was not done as a homage. Some scenes were straight up copied from 4 different movies. The movies were never mentioned or given any credit.

The movie was in Darjeeling and Kolkata, West Bengal. The landscapes that you mentioned are from Darjeeling, which is specifically famous for that.
