I really found this really entertaining. You perfectly capture the *real* experience of plant collecting: overly dry moss poles, dirty dishes interfering with your watering routine, can't find supplies, robbing the Peter pole to pay the Paul pole, the moss pole with a stem and two leaves, dirt and moss on the carpet, perlite dust inhalation, no room to walk, leaves getting caught on the faucet, getting overwhelmed, etc. Your dry sense of humor and stream-of-consciousness commentary made me laugh because it is so relatable. This honest approach may find a niche in the plant community. Keep it coming!
I’m only 5 min in and I just wanna say thank you for posting this. I watch some other plant TH-camrs and they always seem to have everything perfect. I know it’s not the case and they might just not be filming the tough things but still - you speaking through this makes me realize I’m not the only person that thinks/feels like this ❤
I've seen some plant people use upside down bottles to water their moss poles. The put a tiny hole in the top and some use plastic cups with a hole in it and water that way.
Remember to not be hard on yourself ❤️ forgive yourself , I know it’s a real bummer when we end up neglecting for a while and the plant takes a toll 😞 bad feeling. Just taking this day to devote after much needed care, they will love you! I get the overwhelm, I have a lot too, I just tend to split up care days for certain rooms/plants and go room by room a day, if that makes sense? But you had a good idea, line up all the ones that need water and go from there ❤ you got this!! Hope you feel better
omg youtube just propose this film to me and I so needed to see it❤ especially the sink part, I have a lot going on lately and yesterday I had to stop ignoring my full sink. I'm constantly late with my watering, also find out lot of spidermites two days ago...so it was almost like therapy to watch your film, thank you!
Wow, awesome plant collection! Your place gets amazing light, is that a southern exposure? Keeping up with all those poles must be a full time job. I only have four and I can barely manage keeping them moist, lol.
I hate when plants grow so slow too. I waited my zz plant to do something for over a year. Like two months ago it decided to push two long stems. I guess I be waiting for another year for more. :D Also your home is so beautiful with those plants, keep up with the great work!
If you're in Seattle, I get mine from Swansons nursery, but I've also bought from this Amazon seller called karenplantsplants. The local place is cheaper for me but both are horribly expensive and will probably end up bankrupting me eventually
You have a moss pole torture plant house. Moving all the poles to the shower is ridiculous. Water with a cup with small pin holes and put it on top of the pole. Save ton of time and pokes will not dry out.
come join the world of orchids where they WANT to dry out at least every week before you water again and they wont die if you dont get to watering them. they have succulent leaves and fat roots and guess what you get fantastic flowers that sometimes smell like cinnamon , all spice, vanilla, etc once or twice a year. I gave up on aroids and went deep into the orchid rabbit hole

You perfectly capture the true essence of being a tired plant-parent with your videos, the title is just too relatable
“…but it doesn’t matter, so, problem solved.” 😂
Nice plants sir! Keep up the plant content!
So relatable. All of it. Thanks again!
You got yourself another subscriber! ❤

Recently found you. Looks like we’re in the same area and climate (PNWish area) it’s so nice to see that plants can thrive in my climate! 🎉

I do it this way and it makes day to day watering soon much easier. Of course like OP said they need a wash once in a while.

Normalize having a sink full of gross dishes
And laundry noises!
and toilet seat up!

Sir we need to get you some Rousseau Poles. Love the place btw
I don’t think the rubber plant has spider mites. They tend to put out tiny white dots of their rubbery sap
Hey it happens to the best of people ❤
A melano that has sized up… sorcery.
If i was you … I’ll call 📱 mom..😂 you need help
watching this while I do the same 😪
I see you've gone the Sydney plant guy pole spec, just like me 😂
Couldn’t help but see your skateboard 👀 you skate?
Moss pole hack: Get a old water bottle, make a small hole in the cap, fill er up, cap it and place inverted on top your moss pole.

I would want to help you out there ❤
also I'm jelly about the light you're getting in those windows
Where have you got the pots from I have been trying to find large clear pots like that for ages

this is so attractive

Can we have a full plant tour
Sure I can try to make one pretty soon!
Yeah! Can you talk to all of your plants like they’re sentient throughout the tour intermittently please? Thx! 😆
Ok, this was sad to watch. Destroying a plant while you had just sold or given away.
Nah that adansonii was a prick, I wouldn't give that plant to my worst enemy
Which plant WOULD you give them? Asking for a friend…
