15:01 I could not stop laughing because you’re explaining the different light fixtures with such a serious tone and then there’s Gigi and Theo going absolute ham on the bed 😭
thank you benji. would love to see a new plant supplies video segment (scissors, watering cans, even shovels) just to see all the cool things you’ve collected / enjoyed using ! excited for what’s to come
Your videos help me relax, you speak so calmly that I swear my anxiety disappears. Thank you! Furthermore, the plants are part of that pleasant environment. I congratulate you and wish you much success in all your projects. Two thumbs up :)
Now I'm curious about the difference between stainless steel and chrome. According to Wikipedia chrome is a technique where a protective layer of chromium is put on something metal. Stainless steel is a mix (an alloy) of iron and other materials. Both are pretty resistant against corrosion and easy to clean. So, I guess when something is chrome, it has a coating, and when something is stainless steel that's the material itself.
Yeah the black light is so much better. I like the current one- it defs can be used elsewhere really well, but it doesn't work with that room aesthetically at all (imho!)
super cool that you're going to be venturing into doing activities outside of the social media sphere. I know I'll never fully understand but I can imagine it's a bit tiring to share everything you do with the world. it's nice and important to just do things for yourself from time to time.
15:06 I love the wall lamp you already have there, but I can definitely see the black pendant working nicely! The dark colours in the painting and the black complement each other well:)
Benji, Congrats on your new endeavors! You have proven your passion and talent in plant design! One thing for sure, I certainly enjoyed your collaboration(s) with JiaHao in putting on the social events involving plants. The atmosphere was surreal with beautiful and natural plants "strategically" gracing the rooms. (I don't I think I even seen a wedding reception with that type of vibe)! So, go for it! I will be looking forward to them all! Hugs!
I was delighted to see Benji getting more of a platform but as for the tour itself I found it disappointing. I really disliked Paige's presenting style but that's just my opinion. More importantly I thought the quality of the video was poor, no excuse for a TH-camr to not have good audio. She also didn't seem to have researched the house's style before doing the tour and had to constantly ask Benji... At that point just let Benji give the tour!
My husband stopped to help me with plants, so today i repotted my huge monstera alone first time. Absolutely understand your feelings while repotting aloe
I found some beautiful moss growing outside my office. I walked by it thinking I should take some home for my plants....After seeing what you did with yours, I'll be bringing some home this week! :D Happy to hear you are feeling better and have a lot of new projects. I think the ceramic class will be fun. I took it in college (SJCC & UCSC) and had a great time. You will definitely enjoy it.
I started watching your videos years ago and absolutely loved them back then! Now I rediscovered your channel via Paige and I must say that the turn your videos have taken is everything I didn't know I needed! You have such a warm and calming presence, and your home updates and takes on design have become a big source of inspiration for me! Wishing you a wonderful year!
I've always wanted to get into ceramics. My grandma used to do ceramics as a hobby and also sold stuff and it's where my love of it started to grow. Where is the pot from at 8:19? It has a cactus in it. The yard is really taking shape. Client-based plant design seems like a very natural transition from what you have been doing in your own home. You're a natural at it. Gigi and Theo are just the cutest! I hope when you're not pup sitting, they get to have regular play dates!
Great content. Happy to hear about your ceramics class and the opportunity to do some plant design. Definitely go with the black light in the bedroom and the white lamp in the kitchen. I love what you're doing with the focus, really cool.
Benji, have you done a video showing the technique for that bent ficus? If not, any plans to do so? Also about that black lamp, honestly I think it would work better if the lamp were a little bigger, or, if you put 3 small pictures/art in a vertical row to the side of the lamp on the wall with the existing picture. Two would probably even work. Small though, like maybe 5 to 6" and square. But I don't really know what I'm talking about. Love the video, thank you, enjoyed watching the dogs playing too!
I haven’t done a video on it, but I plan to cover it in the future! In the meantime, here’s the video I used as inspiration th-cam.com/video/usF1s81XxGg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-tpDhjNabkP8VUBx
Look fwd to your travels to Vietnam. 🇻🇳 I always enjoy your travels. I traveled Samar & Cebue in the Philippines and enjoyed the countryside and delightful people.
Happy new year Benji! I cannot wait for the plant design content! Paige could definitely use some greenery!😆 I love the, moss, so pretty! I have a leather fern in a huge antique clay pot that belonged to my grandfather, my Nonno. He was the head gardener at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco many decades ago. The fern is flourishing, but it’s so overgrown in the pot I can’t imagine there is any soil left! I do not know how to get it out without destroying the plant and the pot. I would love to see you work on something like this in one of your videos. Thanks so much for all of your tips and your lovely Zen videos.💜
Ahh I’m going to the Philippines for the first time to see my dad’s side of the family! I’ll be there for two weeks from March to April! Hope you stay well & have fun😋
benji, you are so talented I'm glad you're investing in your plant design skills! And I like the black light, just saying. Gigi and theo silly times I loved
I have been adding moss to the tops of some of my plants and value your info. I will continue to hang on the info you share on your progress with moss.👏🏽
🌿🌻🌳☀️🌿☔💐 Hi Benji, Looks like U had a fun plant shopping day & recvg the box of goodies looked like it made ur day more fun & interesting... Reg the Black Lamp, I think U should try for a couple of nites & see if you like the brightness of it. Looking forward to yr next video🌳
Where i live (Melbourne Australia) Morning Glory is a huge weed. Unkept it takes over so many gardens, river banks... I've seen it topple over fences too haha. Doesn't surprise me toxic to pets is added to the list of cons 😅
Thank you for yet another amazing and inspiring video. I think the black light would look amazing it will give the space that nice contrast like you mentioned.
Benji could you possibly explain how you did the little glass orb on the table with the moss in it and how you care for it? I really want to do something like it but I'm not sure how
I got the glass orb from a friend, so I don’t have a link for it. But I just laid a layer of moist dried sphagnum moss on the bottom, then put down live sphagnum moss on top of it. I used long aquarium tweezers to do the whole thing. After that I just kept it moist by misting it every once in a while, never letting water pool at the bottom, and it kept growing! It’s been around 2 yrs and now I mist it maybe once a month? I used to use tap water and that worked fine, but I started using RO water and it seems to enjoy it more.
Happy New Year, Benji, Chris and T! I am looking forward to hearing more about your ceramics course. I've recently learned that I appreciate Celadon glazed ceramics and found a local ceramics artist who makes beautiful, affordable Celadon pieces. I can't wait to see what you create😊🫖🪴🍽️
Do you wire the tree to get the bend in it? I would like you to show ways of elevating large plants instead of them sitting in a pot on the floor. I have trouble with that. Loved the video.
I used bonsai wire before, but I didn’t like how it cut into the stem and made marks. I removed the bonsai wire and now use twine instead. I tied a knot at the top of the plant, bent it down, then held it in place by tying the other end of the twine to a lower portion of the plant. It ended up looking kind of like an (archery) bow
Glad you're skipping morning glory. It can be super invasive. Once you have it, it can spreads and is difficult to get rid of. So many other native vining plants, like honeysuckle(incredible smell) or even grapes!
Happy New Year Benji. I'm looking forward to seeing your house last design. But I have a question for you?. The square lava rock hanging planter. Where can I order it from? I just bought me a staghorn fern. And it's in a pot, but I want to mount it on the wall.
I like the lamp you already have hung up it matches the vibe you having going in the room, the black lamp does contrast but it might stand out too much also black isn’t in the color palette of the room🤔
I love your new aloe tree. I m so upset with myself. I over watered my cactus, I had it for a 1 1/2. 😢 Benji I am doing this to a ficus tree. Since last spring.
Love these calm little updates!
When the plant community and keyboard community collide 💥
Definitely the black lamp in your bedroom. The white one is more kitchen -ee. Im so glad your going to be producing your own pots. Can't wait
I agree, the black light in the bedroom. 😊
I agree with the black lamp in your bedroom! :)
Me too. The black would look good! Contrast!
15:01 I could not stop laughing because you’re explaining the different light fixtures with such a serious tone and then there’s Gigi and Theo going absolute ham on the bed 😭
That had me soooo tickled!! They were WWE style!!
I can’t wait for you to do plant design content! I love the cross of interior design and plants!
thank you benji. would love to see a new plant supplies video segment (scissors, watering cans, even shovels) just to see all the cool things you’ve collected / enjoyed using ! excited for what’s to come
That could be a fun idea!
Your videos help me relax, you speak so calmly that I swear my anxiety disappears. Thank you! Furthermore, the plants are part of that pleasant environment. I congratulate you and wish you much success in all your projects. Two thumbs up :)
CHRIS is so lucky to have you in his life
Benji is my therapeutic 😍
I love your aesthetic, vibe and calmness.

You're such a breath of fresh air in this hectic world.
I think the black lamp can look really good in the bedroom! you're right, the contrast is nice
Yes, I really like the black light better there. Theo is sure happy with the house guest. He loves having a little playmate. ❤
Yeah the black light is so much better. I like the current one- it defs can be used elsewhere really well, but it doesn't work with that room aesthetically at all (imho!)

One of my favorite corners of the internet, thanks benji 🍃
日本からあなたのビデオを見てます。自然な植物との生活を羨みながら😊
I am watching your video from Japan. Envying your life with natural plants;)
I started a ceramic class today and will be very happy to find some inspiration in your videos! Greetings from Germany

Love your videos and your voice, I'm always super chill when watching your videos 🥰
I love the continuation of the Benjiplant X Paige Wassel collaboration
I could not get through her tour of Benji's place 😂 not a big fan
@sauceokay I absolutely know what you mean. Her way of stuttering and awkwardness hurts my soul lmao. Iykyk.
I was delighted to see Benji getting more of a platform but as for the tour itself I found it disappointing. I really disliked Paige's presenting style but that's just my opinion. I love the black light. You are so lucky to be going back to Vietnam. I so enjoyed your last visit. Its such a beautiful country .

Benji I’m so excited that you’re getting into plant designs for other people! Have you ever considered landscape architecture?
Thank you for yet another amazing and inspiring video. I think the black light would look amazing it will give the space that nice contrast like you mentioned.
Can’t wait to see all the ceramics you make!
I like the black light a lot in the bedroom

wake up and first thing i see is a new vid from u :) so happy and thank u!
Happy New Year to you too! Yes, the black lamp would go well as a contrast. Also wish you good luck with the new venture!
Good for you interior design sounds great
Yesss! I got my WAS tote too 🧡
I am trying the bent stem method with my avocado tree.
It’s from a store in Taiwan called Tribus Studio. They have a website, but I ordered with them by dm’ing them on their instagram
happy new years everyone !
Please would really love to see a bookshelf tour!!!!!!
Good luck with ceramics - I think you’ll love it😉
I love moss. I'll be curious to see the results of your various experiments...
I’ve tried the bent ficus before to straighten one out but it wasn’t as extreme. Very pretty
The black light seems too small? But I trust that it will look nice once it’s all set up.
The black lamp is cool! It’s an upgrade from the white but the fixture feels a little small? 🤷♂️
I think you’ll be successful with plant design 🎉
Would love to see you mount a Staghorn fern to the wire mesh, loved this video so much!
Happy New Year
Nice vlog with the plants
I like the lamp you already have hung up it matches the vibe you having going in the room, the black lamp does contrast but it might stand out too much also black isn’t in the color palette of the room🤔
I think stainless steel is solid but chrome is a coating? But I'm not certain.
I love your videos! Where are the bookshelves in the living room from?
I been wondering abt moss in pots for ages!! My plants have not survived covid aftermath tho so I haven’t had a chance to try. Pls keep us updated!!
at 17:00 what shoes are those? ive always wanted those type of shoes but i never know what brand to buy :)
Looking forward to more exciting videos
how do you avoid mold on your walls and the mounts?
Love this! So calm and it’s always fun to see your plants 🌱!! Happy new years!! 🎉
