    You're not alone. I can't throw any nodes away. They have to go in a prop box or water vessel of some kind. I need therapy to work on my problem.

    Omg, you're so funny. I love how you decide who deserves the good pots 😂. Who cares what people think of what you do to your plants. That's your business. Thai cons are crawlers. It needs a oblong pot that it can crawl in on the ground. I also use white shark on all my plants with roots. It's incredible what it does for a Mico. I buy it off of Amazon. Gosh you crack me up. 😂 Except the dread, omg. 😂 Good luck in your plant adventures, we all have our favorites that kick the bucket. I really got this girl hang in there!

    You have a moss pole torture plant house. Moving all the poles to the shower is ridiculous. Water with a cup with small pin holes and put it on top of the pole. Save ton of time and pokes will not dry out.

    I had to do the same recently and it just ended up in a 3 day purge, I realised if I don’t like where I put the plant I don’t water it as frequently. I think I have a golden pothos somewhere holding on for dear life rn but I will let the fates decide 😔🫰🏽

    Please do not get discouraged as we all have failures which makes the wins so awesome! Feed the soil which feeds the plants. Soil health is most important. Not all plants have the same nutrient and watering needs. That is the biggest lesson I learned. So now I will research where they originated from and their growing habitat for best chance to thrive. If some seem too difficult or pest prone I pass. You’ve got this and will do great! Good luck!

    Everyone can have periods of frustration in this hobby. The answer seems to be to sit back and sit still and try to think about why you are sitting in a pile of dry crackling leaves and sad roots. Then plans of action come next. From listening to your running commentary (F bombs included), you seem to get the gist of where you may have gone left instead of right. Then have a chuckle dust off your planting mat of desolation and start your "can do" chapter of "Plants I got this!".😊

    come join the world of orchids where they WANT to dry out at least every week before you water again and they wont die if you dont get to watering them. they have succulent leaves and fat roots and guess what you get fantastic flowers that sometimes smell like cinnamon , all spice, vanilla, etc once or twice a year. I gave up on aroids and went deep into the orchid rabbit hole

    Last december I had a complete mental breakdown/burnout and just threw all of my bad looking plants away raw. On the positive note tho, the plants that survived the purge are doing absolute amazing now. So you could have it worse I guess :D. I would say that the trash got like 300 euros worth of plants, nothing too special but I had A LOT of basic plants like my long pothos and huge monstera deliciosa. We had few days when electricity was super expensive and had to drop the heat, so most of them started dying immediately. (I live in a bad apartment in Finland lol) I just bought my self my first thai constellation and have been so stressed that it is going to die for no reason, even though the growth has been great. Biggest leaf when I bought it was about 8 cm (2.7 inches?) and the newest one with my care is whooping 16 cm (6.2 inches?) long! It doubled it's size! I have it in leca and fertilized it with seaweed. Trying to find those hydroponic fertilizers has been hard, especially because I try to buy it from Finland bc I don't want to mess with taxes and so on. Now I have also the problem that I don't know should I make it a crawler or a climber. Making it crawl looks and sounds easier, but I have no idea where to get a pot that would have enough room to crawl with leca. Too scared to switch it back to chunky mix. (Me just infodumping somewhere bc my friends don't understand anything about plants lol.)

      There are those huge outside plastic square pots they sell for the summer there pretty cheap at for the size, at least in Germany where I live. You could use something like that for your Thai con filled with a huge bag of leca, and eventually even put a a moss pole in there when is over growing the pot or even convert the big planter into a green wall. I’m going to do that this summer with a big plastic planter filled with hydroponics and a moss wall attached to it.

  • @DanielleMarsh-f2b
    @DanielleMarsh-f2b 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I highly recommend you switch to moss poles that are D back clear plastic. They are WAY easier to maintain moisture in. The fully open poles are impossible to maintain unless you're super diligent with watering.

    Uhh Man your plants are dying because they are thirsty AF 😂..all that soil you dumped was so dry.. all of these would perk back up if you just water them once a week, not once a month as you stated.. anthuriums definitely need to stay a little wet. That yellowing around the edge of all of those is due to being too dry, that queens pissed lol. also white variegation will do better from browning with silica added to your watering schedule if your looking for suggestions.
