Camino de Santiago - Days 23-24, Astorga Has a Lot To See!

- We get yet another beautiful sunrise as we head towards the town of Astorga. We are only doing 22km today and starting early so we can have a long time in Astorga in order to see the sights. You could easily have a zero in this town with its cathedral and the Gaudi Palace to explore. It was a jam packed day and we got a great place to stay for the night to enjoy it. Boy did we get an even more beautiful sunrise the next day!
The payoff for having a nice place is a night in a dorm, cheap, but with a possibility of 36 other people! Fortunately it was only half full but there were the snorers nevertheless.

The sunrise is magnificent, but I like the stone arched bridges. Looks like you need the bug net from the AT. Love the one-way stair system. The sunset bookends your day.
