My daughter and I laughed our way through The Day After Tomorrow. We have an ongoing joke whenever severe weather is forecast…”It’s the day before Tuesday’s tomorrow after Friday’s Christmas.”
Despite having been shown on cable every other weekend for years, Twister got way more attention than it deserves. Somehow I keep watching it despite it seeming dumber and sillier every time. It’s like eating a bag of wet Doritos, you know they’re gross but you can’t stop eating them.

How are movies that were commercial success boxoffice flops? The Swarm scared the bagesis out of me as a kid, and I don't care what anyone thinks Volcano is on my short list of movies I rewatch at least annually. Has some of my favorite lines and over the top heroism. Taste is subjective after all
I liked Volcano and Twister had its issues but bombing I believe wasn’t one of them. I wish y’all would stop using rotten tomatoes as a reference, bad or good movies are often misrepresented by this platform.
The title says "Box Office Disasters", yet Twister and also 2012 were successful at the box office.
2 of my faves....ever.
When Time Ran Out (1980). Released precisely at the moment disaster movies died at the box office.
2004's "The Day After Tomorrow" was commercially successful despite mixed reviews. "The Happening" and "San Andreas" also did well commercially.

I thought Twister made big money.

Why is Twister on here. Twister is awesome

My daughter and I laughed our way through The Day After Tomorrow. Years later it’s still an ongoing joke between us.
"box office disasters" ... "while the film performed well at the box office"... like dude
I actually always had a soft spot for the swarm i remember seeing it when it first came out

These are called popcorn films not made for critics. Half of these are awesome films 😅
"Battlefield Earth" (2000)
"The Happening" (2008)
"The Swarm" (1978)
"Volcano" (1997)
"Twister" (1996)
"2012" (2009)
"The Day After Tomorrow" (2004)
"San Andreas" (2015)
"Black Sea" (2014)
Twister was a lot of fun. Who cares about critics?
The critics were right. Twister is like eating stale Doritos, you know they’re gross but you can’t stop eating them.
Is it 8 or 9 movies? Is it a movie about disasters or movie disasters? Focus AI

😂Box office disaster or critical, rotten tomatoes rating disaster??
Am I the only one who doesn't care about Rotten Tomatoes?
