Night of the Living Dead (1990) Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Titanic (1997) is pert near the exact of "A Night to Remember" (1958) (- the love story).

The Evil Dead and An American Werewolf in London are NOT cult classics that don't get enough credit. They are bona fide classics that were huge in their day, incredibly influential and still held in high regard today. Stupid list.

I didn't know about this movie until I saw it on Max... It blew my mind and it left me craving for more! People aren't much into Westerns and adding the fact that every movie now has some type of progressive agenda in it it killed the movie and theater industry. BUT if you haven't seen this and you want some old fashioned written movie I will suggest this one. It is 3 hours of different stories that don't match but I'm guessing they will all connect at the very end, hopefully chapter 4. I read it's 4 chapters so I hope it's 4 chapters.

I only take exception with The Lone Ranger, which I like. I suspect that what offended so many people is its mixture of comedy/farce with seriousness. But how can you not like that 10 minutes railroad chase at the end? And (guilty pleasure) I did like the ending of Catwoman!

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen had a few problems with it, but two of the major issues were Sean Connery's character, who was bumped up from one of an ensemble to being the lead because of Connery's status (and demands) to the detriment of the story, and the addition of an American character because something? They took the source material and strip mined it for parts. There are quite a few people that enjoyed the movie anyway, so at least something good came out of it. But man, what that movie could have been if the producers and movie studios had trusted the source material?

I spent many a Saturday afternoon with a bowl of pop corn and a glass of Pepsi sitting in front of the TV watching The Swarm. The Sentinel is a popular movie title. Kiefer Sutherland and Michael Douglas starred in a (totally unrelated) movie of the same name. But my favorite 'The Sentinel' is the 1996-99 cop show about an anthropologist trying to help a cop with all 5 senses heightened to the Nth degree. I love Phantom of the Paradise and never tire of watching it again and again. The Wicker Man is one of my all time favorite films and from what I hear Christopher Lee said the same thing. Just my opinion as a huge fan of the 1973 movie but Nicolas Cage should be burned at the stake for his PoS, horrible try at a remake. Or maybe stung to death by bees.

"The plot of Mars needs Moms is predictable". No. Not even slightly. Given the title I have absolutely fuck all clue what that film is going to be about. That's a significant part of why the film failed. It's not a catchy title and the rest of the world doesn't spell mum as mom. So they instantly reduced their audience to only Americans. Having said that only some kind of simp would see that title and think "Yeah. This sounds like a cool film! I'd like to take my mum on a date to watch that and have her pay for the tickets". It's the worst title and thus the worst piece of marketing ever. The film could be amazing and a brilliant piece of cinema for all I know, but whoever came up with the title should definitely have been fired. The animators who created some of the ugliest CGI should also be fired. The director shouldn't have a career, and whoever produced it shouldn't. That it lost millions isn't surprising, that it got green lit and cost millions is though.

It's funny that some of these are bad for not following the original source while others followed the original source too closely. Battleship Earth was an over inflated book written by a writing hack, but hey he was a successful cult leader. John Carter from Mars is a visionary set of books and the movie wasn't really bad, just not advertised well and they should have emphasized the from Mars. Cats gave me nightmares. They should have just had the actors in their costumes like the Broadway show. I don't completely agree and the basis here seems to be how much profit and the Rotten Tomatoes score.
