    Nykaa has 2 USPs:
    1. They get brands which weren’t available in India easily - this was mentioned already in this discussion
    2. Very important aspect - guarantee of genuineness of products - getting fake beauty products (especially “imported” types) has always been a problem in India. You can’t trust other major e commerce players here
    However I personally feel that they are overvalued.

    All seem very clueless on Nykaa.. They are diverting the topic at every question or giving generic answers. No insights.

    Hi Nikhil, very interesting discussions on all episodes. Can you please have the founder of Nykaa Falguni Nayak, on your show, also other Women entrepreneurs, angels and VCs. The reason why I am asking is, as a woman we have our own challenges in running a business and also getting funded. Hearing from women who have gone through this journey and succeeded will bring lot of value to other women like me who are trying to do the same. Thank you very much.

    Bhai Har ecommerce ka ek category dominant hai, nykaa too a vertical approach vs horizontal, now nykaa is planning as Mr biyani said adjacency. Nykaa is e-comm and also a trusted platform.

    Ecommerce will not be mainstream in india till govt brings stringent laws on customer service. Right now customer service is fueled by vc money and we have seen the service level go down with funding winter. None of ecommerce business have a proper channel to reach them, only if they call ypu you can get your query resolved. Atleast in physical store i can go and complaint the store.

    Meesho total loss of 2022 was 3247 crore 7.5x more as compared to 2021 ...5 billion what kind of Valuation they are getting from investor..where nothing sign of profitably is showing in the business... Scaling business means Nothing without cashflow no one survive..

    Nikhil bhaiya Nyka will grow. The day they tap the rural markets things will change. Women in the villages are getting more and more open to cosmetics and beauty products and if Nyka is able to sell their own products with a much higher margins then things might change a bit and the same will be reflected on their balance sheets as well. They have many stores in the airports, the goraas see these stores, it is a possibility that a Indian cosmetic brand gets some limelight internationally too.

      Brother on ground i have not seen a single village women who spent 500 rs for a lipstick so i think there is less in rural market

    I am Dr Shankar.
    Call a bunch of graduating students with diverse Academic grades or GPA to understand their knowledge regarding Financial planning and awareness. The graduating students should represent diverse fields like medical, dental, health sciences, B tech, arts and sciences etc. This gives the PERSPECTIVE of young students who are about to get employed regarding Financial planning and how they can contribute for Indian economy and take care of their Finances as well Mr Kamath. I strongly feel that we need to break out the mindset of young ones to develop a holistic approach towards the young ones in our society.

      Bhiyani's failure was in overexpansion. He is still a tremendous wealth of knowledge and can guide what not to do.

    I have one question is why Nykka potray them self as woman brand only. Ofcourse that can be one large segment but putting your website color pinkish and putting all female celebrity you are shouting like "Man not allowed" . I think if any brand which represent Indian ecommerce is Flipkart. That's why they been called "Poster boy". Also, Kishor biyani seems to have very old fashioned idea which had sinked future bazzar, pantaloon, future capital.

      Needs brains to see it as a business. PE is variable and depends on earnings. If you believe in the TAM expansion of India in general then Nykaa is a really good bet

    @nikhil: If the guests have reservations, why mince words. Why do they believe competitors will hurt Nykaa? The most efficient and largest player almost never gets disrupted by competition who tries to copy, just like Asian paints. Whats wrong being a vertical specialist and what is the obsession about being a representative of the entire e-com, wasn’t even the question.
    It’s frustrating to watch when experts can’t give clarity or insights. If they believe beauty or Nykaa saturated they should say so.
    If they believe they are distracted with fashion and eB2B, say so. Or they can give facts or data applicable to the point they are making if they worried about naming companies and face the wrath at personal level.
    The point is lost if people beat around the bush.
