I knew that from the begining, but there is one type that hasnt been added yet, Ice. But it's great to have Steel types as they're my favourite types next to Dark types. Also, could we see more Regional Varients or split evolutions for Charcopal and Zhusk please?
What if accidentally an item shop clerk gave you a shiny bowllo like 1 in 12,000 times instead of giving you a premier ball?

It could be a funny alternative way of catching it actually
A ice ghost frog pokemon based on the Wood Frog would be cool. The frogs litteraly freeze in the winter to survive and "come back alive" when the weather dethaws them. Basically a frost covered zombie frog.

To be honest, I fully loved the second sketch of Heelzilla because, with the idea for this cute mon being overly aggressive, it looked like a bratty baby in a highchair, which sounds fitting kinda
How about a regional variant of the Aegislash line that drops the steel type for rock and becomes the favored obsidian blades of the Aztecs

I would honestly add that these pokemon inspired the design for the poke balls since we don't know where they came from originally
This way you can add that the designer was from the masa region and based the design on the creatures he saw as a kid, mirroring pokemons original idea.
@@briancross7443 this is actually a fair point, but i feel like it might break away from the canon world. There’s probably already an explanation for who created the pokeball. (By the way i believe it’s spelled “Mazah”)
That would be cool. Kind of like how the Vanillite line can be considered the inspiration for ice cream cones
There is an explanation for pokeballs actually, the Apricorn nuts from Gold and Silver that get turned into pokemon balls depending on what color is given to the NPC kurk.
He even explains why ^^

i had no idea that was a thing!
I tried catching every legendary in Ultra Sun in a luxury ball. Managed to get all the Alola Legendaries, but gave up on the idea after two ultra wormhole legendaries.
Itztalacoaliuhqui is the aztec god of frost and punishment. It has a head made of black curved obsidian that looks like a mage hat and holds a traditional broom called a tlachpanoni! It's such a cool abstract concept that branches from traditional animalmon and could be a good ice type line
Maybe even Ice/Psychic to represent magic powers. Although he is trying to step away from dual types, I think it would be fitting. Everyone like this so he sees this great idea!

I'm not an item Mon fan but this isn't even an item its more like a general ambiguous being-Mon 😂 I'm picturing a lil guy with a pointy head and long limbs eventually becoming a tall imposing Mon with a massive broom, which may be used like a witch as the pointy head combines well to make it look like a mage

@Megan Davis could be a skinwalker Pokémon since I believe there are Navajo people in Mexico. And even if there isn’t I know for a fact they live incredibly close.
Dupedillo might just be my favourite Pokémon design in this series so far. It has such a nice balance of being natural and a bit whacky. It also just looks generally amazing. I now want this game to exist just so I can catch one of these and call it Kurt.
I second the motions on Heelzilla
- Taking one of the early, cute designs and using it as a baby pokemon
- Evolving it into a massive, terrifying, but very shy poison monster

@@dboot8886 jeah maybe lower the stats a bit and use one of the previous disigns and you got a pre evolution (also i wish hed round that 95 special attack up to a 100 )
I think they're more fitting as gender variations. Too similar for evolutions.

The armadillo's design is such a good fit for the concept, and for the Mazah Region too! Kudos on making some Single Types: so many fangames and fandexes are so chock-full of dual Types that they feel even more unrealistic, tbh, so it's good to have a variety of both, imo.
Jack had me thinking he would make an ultraball evolution, not complaining though, these look great
He stuck with the gen 1 fake item mon concept
If Mazah has some transformations like Mega ir Gygantamax, he would definietly transform into a Ultra Ball xD
@@Adriel013 Yeah, capping the line off with the Ultra Ball makes a lot of sense, but Dupedillo definitely looks like a final evo, so doing it as a Mega or Gigantamax would be the best way to achieve that. ...(Fun Fact: In Gen 1, one of the many programing oversights led to Ultra Balls only very seldomly being better than a Great Ball, and often way worse, since the way the ball calculation interacted with the base catch rate of a Pokemon was pretty wonky.)
Their Gigantamax/Mega shiny• should be a Beast Ball.

Doing an Iron clad beetle could be fun! Their beetles that are practically indestructible being able to be run over by a car and survive.
I also read somewhere that people have used them as a form of living jewelry, that could be put in the design in some way?
I think I speak for everyone when I say we like long videos.

I know it's a joke but it's quite obviously a tongue.
To me, in the first design it was unmistakably a tongue, in the second the tongue looked line front teeth and in the final one it kind of looks like a jaw, though it works for it's attempt at looking bigger and scarier
Yeah I gotta say, the tongue in the last two, though especially the second I find way too similar to spider fangs for my taste.
The funny thing about Heelzilla being based on giant kaiju is that there was a giant monster movie called the Giant Gila Monster
That peachy orange tone is so so so much better then the yellow Heelzilla had to start.

Thought I'd leave a record of the Number of Pokemon created with types so far (Includes duel types & evolutionary lines) so people who aren't caught up with the series can get a rough idea of the types available in the region so far. Will update accordingly in the comments section of each new Mazah region video, enjoy! :)

We actually need more normal types too. Perhaps a normal ice line and normal steel line, as these types are unique but would also build up some underrepresented types

With your 3 heelzilla you can make an evolution line
They go well together imo, the first one is cute, the second is trying to be intimidating and the final one kinda achieved it
Honestly they do work pretty well, but I don't think they're distinct enough to work.
The three different heelzilla designs really strike me as a good evolutionary line. Simple and cute all the way up through the whole line(supposing that you were to present it as one). Not every pokemon evolution needs to look like a powerhouse
I’d love to see a ground psychic type. My idea is a like a coyote that creates mirages. It uses these mirages to lure in prey for an easy kill. Maybe that could be a legendary or mythical. But I would be so happy if you could do something with this.

How about a ghost type eeveelution based on dia de los muertos? Like a dulce de alfeñique skull? I think it would be cool/cute
I think it would be even more interesting if he made a new original evolution Pokemon that would instead evolve into all of the physical types in oppose to Eevee’s special types

The first 2 Heelzilla designs feel like baby pokemon
Now im just thinking of some baby Heelzilla pokemon looking up to the full grown Heelzilla and thinking "I wanna be like that."
and the full grown one looks at Tyranitar and thinks i wanna be like that (Hydreigon and Volcarona would also work since they are also based on Kaiju)
I always thought a gila monster wuld be an inspiration of a male version of salazzle

Something cool that I would like to see is that when Bowllo evolves, it takes the appearance of the ball that it was caught in.
So if it was caught by an ultra ball, it would look like one.
These designs are some of my favorite that you've made so far, and that's a really high bar! Trying to keep your designs simple really worked out here, and I would love to see more simple little guys like this!

OK so Suggestions
an Ice/Bug Scorpion for the cold desert Nights,
a Monarch Butterfly Pokémon that's a literal Monarch (Sexual Dimorphism can be fun)
a Steel/Flying type whale that is a scuba diver
a 3 stage fire type Pokémon inspired by chocolate (chocolate originates from Mesoamerica)(also their are very few 3 stage fire types)
and for the most vague ideas, a set of Pokémon that are counter parts you see in every game (either opposites or parallels), and a Pokémon designed for the villainous team (Carvahan, Numel, Galarian Zigagoon)
he already did some of those
the villainous team= techuppi
whale pokemon=the water starter
and he's working on a cold frog for a poison/ice I think
@@Ivan_RA ya i dont know how i forgot about the the water starter i was just thinking scubadiving and whale was the first thing I thought of, also the frog sounds really cool
also when I say villain team Pokémon, I don't mean the basic dark type you typically see, I'm talking the ones where their design actively fits the theme of the villainous team. its not something in very generation, but you can see it with some like Magma and Numel, Aqua and Carvahna, Flare and Litleo, and Team Shout and Zigzagoon, Pokémon whos designs are linked to the villainous team
I can imagine Heelzilla, when roaring, flicking its tongue around in such a way that it would look like fire, to make the opposing pokemon think it's breathing fire
That Dark Cave Theme had me bopping. I used to walk around with my headphones in my gameboy color like it was an mp3, just to listen to that one song on loop.

I think the Bowlo line needs to have some "they eat pokeballs" in they pokedex entry so they are more flavourfull.
I love the armadillo-Pokemon concept and execution! The evolution being a great ball is something that honestly should already exist but I’d never even considered! I also like Heelzilla, but I think the shiny should be the regular one, and then maybe the shiny could swap the brown/beige for that electric blue, to sell the Godzilla connection - I love this series, really brightens my day 😊🎉
Mimmiks are absolutely my favorite fantasy creature because of how creative they can be Im absolutely so excited to see these guys!
Heelzilla should have their Hidden Ability be "Pretender"
The ability should allow them to be able to pretend to be the type advantage over the opposing Pokemon for one turn, then revert back to its original typing the next turn.
That’s a well balanced ability I’m surprised GF didn’t come up with something like that themselves

Tbh, these are some of my favorite pokemon yet for this region. I won't say my absolute favorites, but these are some great ones. I do love the simplicity behind them, and how they're just so much more down to earth. Also, this is my favorite fake item pokemon line yet. It's just so cool looking and I love it

I love the detail of Bowllo’s shiny looking like the Premier Ball! I’m a bit of a sucker for Premier Balls (I went out of my way to nake sure the Zorua I bred was in a Premier Ball), so that’s such a fun detail to me!
I was genuinely intrigued by the community posts and if it is an armadillo.. Ima freak and have a spaz attack. (out of excitement)

YES YES YES YES! I was so excited to see this!!! While i love the mimic idea of voltorb, i simply cant really with their design, even more their evolution. But this? my god this is what i wanted!!!

I can imagine a scene in the game before you actually see them, where heelzilla is standing infront of a light to make themselves look bigger to be more scary
You should do a mon based off of the cuatro cienegas basin, or at least a few of them. It’s quite interesting, and the main basin is butterfly shaped. Water-bug type butterfly maybe? I don’t actually know if they are native to Mexico.
I feel like dupedillo should have a gmax form. Who is with me on that?
A psychic, poison, ground or water salamander/newt would be cool since there are alot of them in the Pacific Northwest. It could be a really small pokemon for size diversity. They also tend to have really nice weird patterns that would be fun.
Ball men are my favourite from the Mazah region so far, can’t wait to see what’s next

These are some of my favorite designs! They are definitely my favorite mimic pokemon especially since they go from pokeball to great ball.

I love the visual of someone throwing out a pokeball then a curled up bowllo comes out, I can only imagine sheer confusion
It would be a cool thing that when you catch them with their corresponding balls [pokeball / great ball] that it would have a higher catch rate then normal.
I like Heelzilla. And based on its 'Dex entry, I can think of additional abilities (if you want two primary options and a hidden ability):
- Intimidate
- Thick Fat

Love these! I think it would be cool if some overworld items in the region had a greatball design to indicate they were rarer or something. Greater reward, but also greater risk if you're not prepared for a Dupedillo!
absolutely in love with heelzilla! well done. it's been a while since i fell in love with a pokemon based off of personality alone, and the rest of it is up my alley too!
as for what's next - i think after a video exercising simplicity, maybe you should do the opposite. legendaries, mayhaps? if not the box legendaries, maybe a trio or a one-off mythical pokemon.

I love them all so much! I wish they were official! If they were actual Pokemon, Dupedillo would probably be one of my favorite Pokemon.
Jack - your artistry is amazing - you consistent bash out designs that I'd be delighted if they were actually new mon and this whole channel is really just a viral marketing strategy.
