I agree.. it’s nice to see work on “real” nails.. like it’s nice to watch some one with pretty natural nails getting them done.. but can’t compare to what you learn in these videos. I love that she isn’t afraid to show perfectly imperfect models and that the models agree to be shown ❤

Nice job! I have that exact nail due to an accident when I was 18. And it is on my wedding ring finger which has made me sad all of these years. So I learned how to make my own nails due to this. I glue a tip on mine and add a bit more acrylic than normal on the tip. The nail looks very thick at the tip but I solve that by filing the underneath of it until it looks thinner. The amount of times I have asked at salons if they could do this to my nail and they tell me it can’t be done is unbelievable. I’m so happy to have find someone even with a different approach but with the same end results. I love this. Your client is so lucky to have you.❤

That was a very creative approach to that club nail Natasha and a great job. I'm really not sure all of us would have thought to seal it with a little acrylic underneath. When you're right when it had started to grow it would have had a gap and separated and popped for sure. It look beautiful from the top. I did not know that she had a problem nail. 💯💯

My left index finger was bit by a Moluccan cockatoo a very long time ago. Right through the cuticle, matrix, and nail (the bottom jaw hit the nail side of my finger). It doesn’t grown quite right now. Not clubbed, more like there’s a split in it that rips very easily.
    Acrylic is a godsend.

Anastasia, will you please do a video about skin growth under the nails? The tissue under my nails grow with my nails and it’s painful to form and it’s hard for me to cut/file my natural nails short. If I break one even on the free edge it hurts so bad because there is a lot of live tissue under there. Is there anything I can do to keep it from growing under my nails?

For those who are not trained nail techs, it's important to note that clubbed nails can be a sign of other health problems. If you have these, or are doing someone else's nails who has them, PLEASE see a doctor or ask the client to see their doctor to rule out serious health issues. Here Anastasia pointed out the reason for this nail's shape was due to damage from an accident on the train and nothing else.

VERY NICE WORK! I TOO HAVE A FINGER AND NAIL THAT IS SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FROM THE REST OF MY NAILS. AS I WATCHED THIS VIDEO VERY INTENTLY, IF I DID NOT MEMORIZED THE ONE NAIL I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TELL THEIR WAS AN INJURED FINGER. I AM SURE SHE WAS VERY PKEASED WITH THE FINISH WORK 🦋

My mother's nails are all clubbed, due to lung cancer- and just an FYI- if you haven't injured your nails and you see this developing, get checked out ASAP! Lung cancer is the most common cause of nail clubbing. I so wish I had known this earlier and had her get checked. But I am not a medical professional, nor am I a nail technician. Just a daughter who paints her mom's nails.

I have an injured index finger as well. It's really embarrassing going to professional salon. It was crushed in a heavy door when I was three years old! Yes, I remember every detail of the incident as well. I thought I could be faster then door closing if I put my finger in the space where it shut and little did I know the door actually shut really fast at the end so it crushed my finger. Any way it grows out of three separate spaces. How can I get ahold of you for personal instructions to fix on my own? I do my own nails. So far only gel because o do not want to use stinky monomer in my tiny one bedroom apartment.

It may be little smelly, but I soak my fingers in emulsified Neem Oil (mixing Organic, cold pressed Neem Oil with a non-drying liquid soap or body wash and then adding it to warm water to soak my hands). When you first start, you do 10 to 15 minutes a day, air dry (don't wipe hands dry), then apply a Neem Oil based lotion, where Neem is at least the 2nd ingredient (the fewer ingredients, the better), but if it's the first ingredient, that's the best. You will do this every day until your hands are baby soft again, then you just have to do maintenance every once in a while, soak once a week to every two weeks, and apply the lotion as needed, but don't wait for dryness to appear before doing it.
