I’m a severe nail biter!! I absolutely have to remove any and all pieces off my skin, and everywhere on myself included(as I also pick), and I know I need to stop. The thing is: you are right in saying that unless the biter sees perfection from their own point of view, this habit won’t stop. Myself: I also have a case of OCD, so picking and biting gets out of hand unless prevented (by dulling the nail’s themselves and blunting the edge with extensions) as well as putting perfectly done presentable (in my eyes) nails on my hands!! I actually gravitate towards your videos in particular because of the model you use, the way you understand the point of view of the person who not only wants but absolutely needs this service, and the way you’re so gentle with your words!! I wanted to send lots of appreciation to you and many thanks coming from someone who since they were five, has always dreamed of beautiful nails but was held back by habit!! My nails that I’ve just started learning how to do, they can be seen on my own TH-cam channel! Thank you again!!!

i’ve got thick, hardy cuticles. i used to just let them do their thing until this time around of wanting to do extensions because i want them to last. i used to cringe at the idea of pushing my cuticles back, even gently. if it happened by accident, i would have to distract myself from the sensation. but i’m getting over it, and it feels awesome. and it’s fun to try a new thing w my nails n see a different final look. my cuticles look pretty good when my nails are bare, but they aren’t that helpful for avoiding lifting lol
I just absolutely love seeing all of your nail-transformations -- especially of Anne's nails. I am currently in school to become a nail tech, and we learned polygel without the dual forms; my question is this, why did you choose to use the dual forms, vs using a form and sculpting the free edge of the nail? Is there a structural reason for this? Will the nail be more sound if made with the dual form instead of paper forms and sculpting? I truly don't know enough to know what the answer is, I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I'm merely curious. I know I'm not necessarily learning "the right way" is school merely the way my school teaches things. So, thank you in advance for answering my questions! I look forward to watching even more nail transformation videos. Also, the growth of her natural nails under some of the original extensions was INCREDIBLE! You do a great job on bitten nails. So many nail techs in the U.S. do such lousy jobs on bitten nails. They slap a plastic nail tip on and pile the acrylic on top, making them look thick, the stick up and look wide at the tip. I would be willing to bet they chew them off as soon as they get home because they look so ridiculous. You make them look more natural for them, which makes them want to keep getting them done instead of wanting to pull them off.
Anastasia! I love your videos always SO helpful. I was wondering if you could possibly make a video going over all the abrasive colors and what they are used for. Most of the drill bits I find only have the coarse level on the top of the bit or nothing at all indicating how abrasive it's supposed to be. Thank you!
