Growing up in St Pete, I went 3 years without making it to the beach while in high school. No matter where one lives, clothes have to be washed, meals have to be prepared, and homes need to be cleaned. The biggest disappointment of all is that a job really cuts into free time. I heard it over and over again from transplants. They've left family and friends behind only to discover that their daily lives haven't changed.
If you ever find yourself up against an alligator, remember that while they have powerful biting muscles, the muscles to open their mouth are actually pretty weak. That's why professional handlers and Alligator wrestlers hold their mouth shut. I'm 38, and I've been since the 2nd grade, and I've never had to wrestle one. I've probably also eaten more alligators than I've seen.
Really. It must be where you live. I lived in that crap hole Ohio for 30 years. One of my biggest mistakes was staying there that long. It will always be my home state but thank god i am in Florida.
The first thing that came to my mind was crocodiles, and the 2nd was people biting off each other's faces walking zombie, and 3rd is the extreme sweltering heat and B.O.
I'm a lifetime, Floridan. Yes, this is true. Florida is a peninsula that has been owned and fought over by 8 different countries before. Learned this at the Matanza Fort in St. Augustine, the oldest city in the US. St. Augustine was founded in 1565. Florida is also beautiful and has incredible beaches, springs, parks, nature walks, and tourist attractions. It's about perspective and what you make it.
My parents took me to Florida as a kid and thought it would be a good idea to do a swamp tour. Thus began my lifelong fear of alligators. I won't leave the Midwest now. No, sir. 😂
I concur. We live in the mid west and went to Marco Island on our honeymoon, 28 years ago. Was the most terrifying experience when we had to drive through Alligator Alley, from the Miami airport to Marco Island. Would not leave the Mid West to live in Alligator, lizard, mosquito invested,Bears walking through your back door, and hurricanes visiting you every damn year in the state Florida, I can tell you that. It’s wonderful to lay in our cabana in our back yard and not worry about freaking animals, such as alligators and snakes and all sorts of bloody wild life.
You're forgetting about the mosquitos, heat, humidity, Karens, traffic jams, old people driving, floridian rednecks and all the other nasty things waiting for you in those murky waters.
There was an 80 year old woman riding her motorized wheelchair along I-4 a few days ago in Orlando 🤦🏿♀️ She had police following her... it had been reported as "suspicious activity" 😩
Dude we are the home of all northern worst elderly people and all of the south’s worst tropes. As a native Floridian I can say 9/10 gators have been the least of my concerns. At least they don’t mess with people usually I just bonk them with a broom or stick if they are in a picnic space or my around my highschool when I was younger Now our snakes and insects…that’s a different story 😅
You forgot the snakes!! I lived in Florida for a couple years. Hot, humid the further north. People who go there after a visit or buying or live there (who fell in love with winter warmth) , get enchanted with the wonderful weather the further you go down the coast. They don’t realize that in a couple years, they’re going to get acclimated to the weather and will again to feel colder the more you live there. Best option? Winter in FL and summer at your main house elsewhere.
I moved to Florida, once. You forgot what it's like when you have allergies and live across the street from an orange grove, in full bloom. I thought I was dying. When I finally survived, I went for a bicycle ride. I rode through several swarms of the notorious 'Noseeums'. Not to mention watching it storm across the road, while you stand in the sun. Or rain falling sideways. WTF, man? I can go on...
We live in a subdivision in Southwest Florida and a few months ago I walked out to my car and there was a 3 limbed gator laying next to my car in my driveway 😬😬. Evidently a lot of people use their trash containers to capture them, as I see on lots of videos 😆. We had an old snow shovel we brought from living in North ga and scooped him right into the garbage container. We live on the Manatee river and returned him and recently a neighbor posted a video of him following them on their dock. Other neighbors commented that one of our neighbors has been feeding him chicken 🤦🏼♀️. Not good 🥴

They should switch it up from the "sunshine state" to "we git gators yall"
Bro these mfs got Burmese pythons and shit!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's already the Gunshine State
Growing up in St Pete, I went 3 years without making it to the beach while in high school.
No matter where one lives, clothes have to be washed, meals have to be prepared, and homes need to be cleaned.
The biggest disappointment of all is that a job really cuts into free time. I heard it over and over again from transplants. They've left family and friends behind only to discover that their daily lives haven't changed.
I am a Floridian and the worst part is not the alligators. It’s the heat
Maybe if you where fit you would not mind the heat, ever thought about that?
Yall....that little dog lived at the end. That man saved him
The drunk dude in the animal cage on the back of the truck *SENT ME* lmao
ikr they caught a florida man
@@PhotohackLovers my mans is hammered lol

If you ever find yourself up against an alligator, remember that while they have powerful biting muscles, the muscles to open their mouth are actually pretty weak. That's why professional handlers and Alligator wrestlers hold their mouth shut. I'm 38, and I've been since the 2nd grade, and I've never had to wrestle one. I've probably also eaten more alligators than I've seen.
Keep the awesome content coming sir! Your videos help me after a long hard day of work! Thanks for the videos!
As someone who just moved from Ohio to Florida this summer, this couldn’t be more true 😂😂
But was it worth it?
Ohio ? Please it's a dump.
Same here but from Tulsa 😂😂
Really. It must be where you live. I lived in that crap hole Ohio for 30 years. One of my biggest mistakes was staying there that long. It will always be my home state but thank god i am in Florida.
My spouse moved from ohio to florida with me and he can totally agree. He said he dont miss Ohio. But im tired of Florida been here all my life!
The first thing that came to my mind was crocodiles, and the 2nd was people biting off each other's faces walking zombie, and 3rd is the extreme sweltering heat and B.O.
...and Publix. Cannot forget PUBLIX.
One of my most fun memories is watching it rain on the other side of the street, flooding the street, but it was sunny on my side. Grew up in Tampa.
I’ve seen that too
As a born floridian living in houston i can verify that my man is on point. Specially the mosquito's caked up bumper cover.
so do you prefer Texas to Florida ? if yes, why?
My parents took me to Florida as a kid and thought it would be a good idea to do a swamp tour. Thus began my lifelong fear of alligators. I won't leave the Midwest now. No, sir. 😂
I'm from the Northeast... and why I'll put up with 6 months of winter so that I won't have to deal with the critters.
Good yall stay wya we don't want cha
@@Holyghostfire881 … And we don’t want cha neither !

I wish I would have had this thought for Northern Idaho before we were invaded. We don’t have the room for these people!!!
not the man in a cage 💀💀💀
You're forgetting about the mosquitos, heat, humidity, Karens, traffic jams, old people driving, floridian rednecks and all the other nasty things waiting for you in those murky waters.
I saw Florida old people cause a huge accident by rear ending a bunch of people in stopped traffic on the E way towing a huge camper.
True and the bad drivers and people speeding in rainy or bad conditions.
That sounds about right
You know what bruh, you ain't never gotta worry about me visiting Florida.
💀💀💀💀💀
😂
😂
🤣🤣🤣
👍
Swamp cats are mandatory in all florida households 🐊. Weak sweet tea is punishable by death 💀
Yup lived there for 23yrs you get used to the wildlife. The first time I saw a gator was at a golf course in Tampa FL
Don't forget the physical wall of humidity that kicks your right in the face when the airplane door opens.
I noticed that too.
Loved the video of the guy saving the dog from the gator!! He just jumped right in there and saved that little puppy!
That was the only GOOD "A Florida man" headline, lol.
Truly Invested
I hope the pup survived the shock.
And never dropped his cigar
@@lotstodo he survived
That dude saving his dog from the gator is an absolute boss move.
So happy to find you on youtube, Wicks! We’ve missed your FL updates!!
It's TRUE! I moved from Texas to Florida & was back in less than a year!
😅😅😅😅😅😅
😂
Really? What made you go back?
Oh no I’m heading from Texas 😢 is it that bad
@@minigol91 the crime & the weather!
Boy that man sure loves his dog and so calm, YOU didn't say any thing about the snakes
forgot the mosquitos and the 25 foot long hybrid man-eating pythons
You forgot the snakes!! I lived in Florida for a couple years. Hot, humid the further north. People who go there after a visit or buying or live there (who fell in love with winter warmth) , get enchanted with the wonderful weather the further you go down the coast. They don’t realize that in a couple years, they’re going to get acclimated to the weather and will again to feel colder the more you live there. Best option? Winter in FL and summer at your main house elsewhere.
If you see a baby iguana, let it be, the mama is somewhere in the vicinity
You rhymed. Nice
@@asuniqueasthespellingofmyn1124 lol. I just noticed that. Bars!!!
Aren't they devastating Florida? Like a pest? I think at some point the government was even paying people to hunt them lol
@@Tyshkevich I heard that. Don't know if they are but they walk around like nobody's business
My husband grew up in Florida, and he talks about it the first way until you ask him about the gators.
Not good 🥴
Always be suspicious when they show you video or photos of something from a far, telling you it’s a great place to go.
Yeah, they say they're marketing FL to attract more "tourists." But what they're really doing is suckering in more unknowing victims. 😂
Imma just keep my happy ass at home.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You need to.
😂😂😂😂😂
Right ain't nothing good in Florida
😂😅😂😅
There is literally a season in Florida called "mosquito". And, for a good portion of the year, it literally rains at the same time every day.
I ended up going to Florida for a concert last year and outside of a gas-station there was a guy doing the "alone time special" right next to the icebox
Nothing much scared you after living your whole life in Florida. Heck we even have ghost towns. 😂
Oooooooo what’s the name of the ghost town
Yeah from all African-American communities that were destroyed and pillaged!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
@@joeschmoe8320 😄😄 cows don't try to make you their dinner. 👍 I'll take any small town in FL over any big city anywhere else in the states to be honest.
@@joeschmoe8320 Gary. Happens in Florida too I heard they chop heads off in Florida is that creepier than Philly
@@joeschmoe8320 no see huge difference, in Philly you are usually fine if you stay out of certain places. In Florida it is all one big shithole.
The first time I was in Florida, the top story on the news was about a 3 year old who was eaten by an alligator. We were all freaked out most of the trip and thought twice about going anywhere near water.
Uh. Florida is a peninsula, and if my elementary education was on point that is a body of land protruding into a body of water on three sides. Ijs...where is there not water?
I saw a gator before leaving the airport! I was on the skytram and there was a gator in the pond below. Also the rain is warm and I was extremely uncomfortable with that being from the PNW.
No, people know its a miserable, hot, bug infested hell hole. I don't know why people want to retire there. One extended power outage and thousands of elderly will die.
The old guy saving his pup gets a beer from me if I ever meet him.
