  • This is the fourth draft I'm weaving on this warp from "The Weaver's Book of 8-Shaft Patterns" by Carol Strickler. I combined drafts #1 & 2 (Stripes on straight twill) in alternating repeats. Draft 1 creates a column with a weft predominant vertical stripe and draft 2 creates a column, offset from the column in draft 1, with a warp predominant vertical stripe. I weave 10 repeats of draft 1 then 10 repeats of draft 2.
The warp is a white 8/2 cotton. The weft is also 8/2 cotton, but I've used Brockens 8265 Pumpkin. This is set at 20 epi and 20 ppi.

Thank you for showing the effect of adding the temple.

My pleasure 😊 I don't usually use a temple on cotton towels ~ but maybe I should! Thanks for watching.
