I love love love this! Bary's quite often lurk in some of the most inhospitable biomes (the swamp). Refreshing to have an option like this. Well done again on another great trap design.
Could have sworn of the baryonyx could grab people and start chomping on them I guess that's just it when it's wild? I've seen a few and I don't have this ability a wild one seems to have. Maybe I'm just imagining things I know 100% my Megalosaurus can do this
you're special traps need their own special section on your channel man. between this, the argy & rex traps, you've provided all the tools needed to conquer ark!
Very effecient trap. Just tamed two bary's quickly. The only issue was remembering to switch the stone roofs to stone ramps. Once this was done taming was a breeze. I'm going to try this on Theri's. Thank you!!
Spot on, cheers! Great to hear it's working well for you! The parts all being grouped really is hard to get your head around for sure! I think I'm getting used to it now, but coming from the old game, it was an absolute nightmare to adjust!
I tried it and it worked first try, thank you! I build it as below as I could at the beach so I just had to use one ramp and I added a little funnel with two additional quarter walls around the ramp to lure it in 😁
@@toastbloke i placed a thatch foundation, and stone triangle foundations on three sides, pick up or destroy the thatch. Used your half walls for the same shape at the front, but 3 half walls high (they wont run in otherwise cause of pathing) two triangle ceilings at the top of the half walls in a diamond. And on the inside of the other two foundations, two "hidden door" walls. The ravagers usually chase you straight in, and you can hit a wall to trap them. Packs are still a problem though.
This one didn’t work for me but I only tried one time and then ran around while shooting the baryonyx until I tamed it. I’ll have to try it again. With the argy trap it also took a few tries until it worked. Please keep making more traps! I like how they are automatic.
Yeah, this seems to be the trap people have problems with. The speed of this thing and the size of the trap makes it hard enough as it is, but getting this one low down seems to be key. Apparently, adding another quarter wall on top of each side can make the trap a little easier to use! Hope you manage to get it figured out! 🙌🏻
Didn't work the first time for me (went around the trap) BUT I had my Argy near by so I just lured it into the trap that way!! Worked and got a nice level bary without losing all my HP lol thanks!!
These little rascals stared getting a little too clever around the trap if it's not low enough, or the terrain in front of the trap is wonky! Glad your persistence paid off and you picked up a nice bary friend!
It doesn't as the building structures are completely different dimensions, but I did base this trap on one I made for ASE that might help, which you can see me build in this video: th-cam.com/video/py8rSxNvfc8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J1AZyMUrBUFf-KKh
Sadly not. The building pieces are completely different, but I did make a Baryonyx trap that’s similar in ASE. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/py8rSxNvfc8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J1AZyMUrBUFf-KKh
They keep changing the path finding, and making it worse, so one update a trap will work and the next it won't! They had it really good at one point, so I don't know what's happening, but it's one of the reasons I've stopped trap designs for a little while. The Bary will go in still, it's just way to hard to do sometimes! Hopefully, they fix pathfinding soon!
Have you tried it before? It worked for me the other week, but I’ll test again to be sure. Could be something as simple as you’re placing the foundation too high, building near an obstruction or using the wrong variant of a structure.
Let me know how it goes, ‘cause I’m happy to help, and if it is broken, or not quite working the same, I can try and figure out why 💪🏻 Cheers and good luck!
It's working still for me, and others, so must have been a build or placement error. As long as you get your bary one way or another though, that's all that matters! 😎
Are you on foot or a tame? Are there any obstructions i.e. rock behind, big slope? Is the trap nice and low? Sorry for all the questions, but I want to work this out. Depending on updates to path finding, it seems like this will work flawlessly one week, then take multiple careful attempts the next. Recently, it seems to have been working again, so any info about your particular experience could be helpful! Cheers!
@@toastbloke Im on foot, no obstructions and pretty leveled terrain. I will try to lower the trap a bit more. I was frustrated cause I tried to lure it 16 times lol. Thanks for asking these question, will update you in a bit
@@toastbloke I tried it again and it worked! First tries I didnt lower the foundation but then I did lower ir a lil bit and it worked perfectly. thanks a lot!
Great news! Traps are proper tricky in ASA due to the new path finding. I wonder if the single foundation was telling the bary to run around it? It used to go up the ramp no matter how tall at one point! 😅
If the extra 1/4 wall height works for you, that’s great! Part of the aim here is to get to work as cheap as possible, so out of many variants, I went for this one for the video 🙌🏻
Brilliant build! Looking forward to giving this one a try. Well done toastbloke! Another awesome trap.
Chuffed you think so, cheers! Hope it serves you well! 🔥

Thanks Kiwi! Makes a tricky task in a dangerous place a little more bearable! Unfortunately, it still doesn't prevent those kapro attacks! 🤣
I normally Chaos tame, But this looks Barry Effective.
If my name was throttle, maybe I would too... but I'm called toast... so I have to do everything in my power to not become exactly that! 😅

Peak comedy there😂
This comment wins haha
My absolute favorite cave running tame. Thank you for the trap idea.
Same here! They're such a great allrounder and can fit through the narrowest pathways. No problem, thank you for watching!

Very simple and effective method - Thanks for sharing this with the community!
Simple minds make simple designs! 😅No problem, hope it helps!
Easy to transport and works everytime! Keep up with yhese simple and portable traps! Great job!
Cheers! I will do! There's lots of creatures I'd still like to figure out some easy traps for!
Genius Bloke, I love it!!
Cheers a million! Great to hear!
Clean, great design
Thanks fella! Appreciate the kind words!
Great video mate, well made and clear - will try this out!

Excellent trap! 👍🏾
Cheers very much! Had a few people asking for this, so hopefully it's a help. 👌

Thank you! I'm glad everything went to plan! Great stuff!
I modified this trap slightly to work with ravagers on aberration. Thanks for the inspiration and the great trap!
Nice one! Might have to give it a go myself, as those guys can be a right pain the backside!

Trap does indeed work just takes a few try’s and I suggest to use an argy and also the Bary has to be completely straight going into the trap
Glad it worked for you! Depending on patches, sometimes it works amazing and others it's a bit of a faff! Must be in a faff state atm! 😂

Will this work for megalosaurus? Bc I can’t find a trap for one.
I don't think so, but I've not tried. Finally got back onto designing some new traps this week, so once I get those out, maybe I can take a look!

Can you do a theri trap?
I'll be needing one soon enough, so I'll be taking a look into them, yeah. Hopefully, I can figure something out!
@@toastbloke for sure! I appreciate it those are one of the animal I have good amount of trouble with solo wise
Got about 5-6 Barys using this trap , thanks
This is great news! It must be working again. They keep tweaking the pathfinding and breaking it. Hopefully, it's fixed for good! Cheers!
Will this work for carno's?
I've not tried. Might have to take a look. I think a carno would see that gap as an obstruction though and run around.
Always amazing traps.
Glad you like them! Cheers!
Def won’t be my last time watching this video 😂😂
'Cause you want to catch lots of baryonyx, or..?
Yes, I love to ride on barys
Great video❤💥
Thanks! Does this mean it's working again? They keep screwing with the pathfinding, so one week it works, the next it doesn't quite as well!
@@toastbloke For me it worked instantly! Got myself a nice and easy bary with your trap💪🏼
can it go through thatch?
They can damage thatch and wood, but if you're quick, wood can work, it's just risky! Best to build out of stone and make sure it doesn't get out!
Will this work on Ark Survival Evolved?

trap doesnt work anymore, the baryonyx just go around the ramp when on it
Somebody else had this problem today, and we got it working by making sure the the foundation was low enough at the start. Give that a try 💪🏻

Most reliable place to get traps..(that works)
That's class to hear! Appreciate it, cheers! ✌️
Tried this trap and it did not work, the baryonyx would not go into it.
Just gonna stick to a simple box trap for this one...
