It will sound strange, but that means your placing your foundations in the wrong direction. Pillars only snap to them one way, and ramps only snap to pillars in certain ways. Face the correct way when placing the foundations and you'll get the snap point at the top of the pillars you want 😎

No problem! It's not the cheapest trap, but it's pretty lightweight and easy to use and can be used again without too much fuss! Good luck taming!

Thank you! I enjoy making traps, but only for knockout tames. If there's a mini-game style taming mechanic, it's fun to use it! Took my a little while to discover the cue to throw, but once I saw it, what seemed like a very difficult tame got pretty easy after a few goes!

Hadn't tested this one for a while, so took your word for it and jumped on to check if it was broken. It worked instantly for me. Are you building it up a hill? Infront of a cliff? Is the foundation right down flush to the terrain? Are you trying to get in to run in from the side or real close up?

Also, if the terrain is particularly uneven it can mess with the AI pathing, so try switching the triangle ceiling out for a triangle foundation, or running a second ramp into the ground if you can't get the foundation flush and/or parallel. Hope this helps.

@@toastbloke terrain is slightly uneven, but there was no even one close to it. The baryonyx just didn't get up the ramp, not when flying with argi over it, or even standing up there, shooting it from the from, it just goes to the side and hit me from there

If you do this, the sides and bottom are more protected from everything except a Leedsichthys! The top stays the same, but that’s why you should build a room on top to protect it.

Did this work for you? I’m pretty sure it didn’t for me, at least back then. Can always try, but weapons/tools can’t go there usually and the skin couldn’t apply to a shield. That would have been a cool way to do it! 🔥

Usually it’s trying in the old game, foundation height or roof variation or placement that people are giving people problems. I’ve used it 3 times in game on a server his week with zero hitches, so it 100% works. Hope this helps!

This sounds awesome! Tunnels are a great idea! For a first look, the building is great! I’m also looking forward to what they do in the future. I can’t wait to get back on the game either, but I’m stuck between projects at the moment!

I've not tested too much, so I can't say with confidence, but there's a change it could trap a few of the smaller ones.

I hate to say it, but I'm not in the slightest, sadly. I'm really not a fan of the direction ASA is going in with all the CC, DLC and forced/official mods. I'm just trying to play the game like it's ASE as best I can at the moment, but that's getting harder and harder. 😅

What was happening when you led the spino into the trap?

It’s working still for me, so something can’t be right. Usually the problem people have is they haven’t quite built the trap right, usually using the wrong roof piece, or an end foundation is too close to the ground i.e closer than the first one they placed. Hope that helps.

It's in a great place for EA, a cool concept (it gets more interesting the more I look into things) and the building is right up my street. Need to get me some more time with it!
