Now I understand how my dad, Bob Casseday could spend hours and hours talking with Skeeter Carlson. They were friends for many, many years. They were avid pilots with stories to entertain each other with. Skeeter's adventures are amazing and what an amazing pilot he was. I so enjoyed the documentary.
I always enjoyed Skeeter's way of talking; had the pleasure of riding with him in the Stearman C-3 in 1976. Skeeter had the greatest sayings to describe things, like "that's about as useless as socks on a chicken". Or, when describing how he wanted his steak prepared rare, "so a good vet could save it".
