4 hours to go in California. It may be virtual, but it's my first Nightwish concert. Stoked!

My first Nightwish was in 2018 to the Paris show from the Decades Tour.... and I like them since 2005 ^^
This video is very powerful statement. Video is based on us all living on the social media world and we miss the beauty of the real world.
I spend my 3 day weekends getting out of the house and driving someplace with my camera, looking for more beauty to shoot.
I'll tell you a secret: Tuomas's outfit is actually blue in real life because green doesn't really work with the greenscreens. All the costumes were designed by my talented friend Nina Korento and are, I believe, on display in the Nightwish museum in their hometown Kitee.

I'm 3 days downstream of watching the Virtual Concert and Noise was the leadoff song. I am so glad I watched this music video beforehand - it really enhanced the experience of the band's live performance. Another really great video from Nightwish is "Endless Forms so Beautiful (LYRIC VIDEO)". Floor states in the comments that they had a blast doing it and it shows.

I hope you got the message of the song, it’s a very important one! Bassicly it say’s we are slaves of the digital world telling us all how to behave when there is whole other beautiful world outside to enjoy. There are so many metafhores in this video and that can be very overwelming but i’me sure it’s supposed to be. I hope you’ll enjoy the concert, there will be some songs in there from their latest album but let yourself be surprised by them and don’t walk out the room. Yeah this song made a lot of sense after I watched it a couple times, and I agree 100% with their messaging. Crazy the vice that technology holds on us
@@TomTuffnuts What's really crazy about the conceptual part of this video is that there are multiple layers of the fantasy, matrix-esque world. Everyone is plugged in at the outside altar circles, yet their avatars are all sitting on the museum benches in front of the Mona Lisa, completely oblivious to its beauty because they are so immersed in their social media profiles on their phones. So everyone has a hum-drum life in the matrix, which is only alleviated by their social media forays into their fantasy personas (King on a golden porcelain throne! Queen with a princess daughter. Beauty influencer. Carney salesman. Green oil industry exec?! Victim of random violence...poor Emppu!) In reality, they spend their whole existence exposed to the elements, tended to by the creepy robots(?) that brought the child in at the beginning, and supposedly disposes of the bodies once they expire.

@@TomTuffnuts hey Tom just saw your reaction to Monolith of Doubt, a little somethin many are not aware of,after Tarja left in 2005 NW had inquired if Floor was available having toured with AfterForever they knew her vocals,but sadly she was very committed at that time to AF.

Both Concerts are available 48 hours after the live premier from what I read. I unfortunately am not gonna watch them at the start since we are not finished listening to the whole current album, but I will have it recorded

I am so sad I was not able to do the virtual concert. Live in a very rural area with no access to good internet/wifi. All I have is my phone and even that is iffy. 🙁☹

Fun fact about this video, taken from an interview for FaceCulture. Tuomas said he grew tired of music videos for singles, since there are already plenty with the band performing in a way or another, but ultimately Floor convinced him otherwise for videos like this one can still be a powerful tool to give the album visibility and they then came up with the idea we now see on screen.

This song is about the consuming of the human race by social media. It's the face that we put on when we go online versus the true lives that we lead. It's about burying yourself in the online world while life goes by unnoticed. The child whispers 'I need love' while being consumed by the images he's being fed. This is Tuomas's saddest song...
This song reflects to us all. Although digital world is not the bad guy here...it is us, who overuse this world on daily basis. Love this song!!! NWSU

Tuomas' outfit was not green IRL, it was blue. They recorded with a green screen, so he couldn't wear green. Instead, it was blue and they replaced the color digitally in post-production. There were some pictures posted about a year ago of the actual costume.

The Human Nature is a conceptual album, you should start with the first song , Music and work your way thru it. Noise is created by all the reliance of our cellphones/technology to learning about our world and ourselves not by exploring the real world and people around us.Emppu being single out thru social media and being attack while Kia his band mate and friend instead of helping & defending him is more important to take a selfie of the attack and put it on social media. There is so much depth in this album, like all of Toumas arrangements this album is a masterpiece as with all other albums. A small suggestion you did How’s the Heart acoustic that’s fine, but you should listen to the album version it’s fantastic in itself, the acoustic version is what all fans of this band really hope for a live show. Because that’s where the magic & energy really comes out. Why do you think the fans are singing every word along with the band at their concerts? The Nightwish army is invited to take part in the performances and the band members and fans feed of each other’s energy! Good luck on your exploration of this band and their virtual concert coming up! I know the Nightwish army will be there if only watching on their devices and projecting positive energy while we receive wonderful positive energy from this remarkable band. It’s a win win! I just got a ticket for tomorrow's show. I'm excited. I hope my "old school" lack of tech savvy doesn't bite me in the butt. haha. As for this video, it is cool but the symbolism gets lost on me sometimes. Oh well. Nightwish in my opinion is best served "live." haha.

You will get an email from Lippu.fi confirming your ticket purchase. There is a link to Download PDF. Click it!
In the PDF, there are two lines that say:
Your Ticket Code (copy this number for later use)
Login Here: (this is the link to register your tickets, click it)
You will get to a screen that will ask you to register with your email and a new password. Do so.
The next screen will ask you for your Ticket Code. Paste in the number you copied before.
Done! You will see a screen with your ticket and in the top right corner, it shows Watch. When the time comes, click on it!

One last tidbit, you can register your ticket within 24 hours of the show starting, so you can't do it now for tomorrow's concert, I don't think.
@@shawnski001 Actually, within 24 hrs of the 1st concert. I registered my ticket Thursday evening for the Saturday event. Nice to keep in mind if they do this again in the future - which I hope they will. It was great!

from child to elderly we are "plugged in" fed a constant barrage of NOISE of all kinds...selfies....vidios...and on the screen from a "sunless world" the child is fed beautiful images and sounds but has no contact with others of his kind just a constant stream of digital NOISE

Well, everyone is on their phone to inflate themselves in the digital world, Toumas has said it's wonderful and useful technology grossly misused with general dross and if you add all that up, it's just noise.
Black Mirrors - Black Mirror is a British dystopian science fiction anthology television series.
It examines modern society, particularly with regard to the unanticipated consequences of new technologies.
Troy is king oil/industry, he has a crown of oil derricks, gold platform shoes to be above everyone else, he has a golden throne, literally. He has a publicly concerned face but actually couldn't care less and throws the flowers away.
Floor is the child pageant mother using her child to promote herself on social media using the child and has the child locked in her cage skirt, the kid just wants to go to the fairground.
Emppu is one of the phone monks dedicated to their phones and cannot even see the Mona Lisa in front of them, he swipes the wrong way not following the herd and is "killed" by his peers while Kai uses that as a selfie backdrop - something which has happened.
Marko is the useless pills for everything salesman, you have to be quick to read what's on the bottles.
Tuomas is the apparent, but two faced greenie, he has signs both for and against nuclear energy and privately bathes in oil from big industry which smothers the duckling you see him nurture before. It's actually warmed veg oil, semolina and food dye. The double visual is to suggest oil field nodding donkey pumps.
Jessica Edström is parodying herself by using surgical enhancements and minimal clothes as you can see from a Google search of her.
There are black mirrors everywhere and hexagons on the walls and floors which is the standard basic planning map for cell towers to give maximal reuse of radio spectrum, and it is the format of the hive too.
The child, with a QR code on its arm, is placed in the "phone matrix" early on and gets hearts on the screen for its media efforts; when it dies as an old man the monitor screen goes black and listen carefully, there's the old three note chime of the Windows Bluetooth shut-down melody.
The ending is fairly obvious, get off your phone and go look at the amazing world outside.

Probably some I have missed, but it is a masterwork, as Tuomas always does.
Y'know, I'm the dinosaur that doesn't have a so called smart phone, it's of no value to me and ranks in importance a long way after an artificial horizon indicator in the car.
I will not call them a phone either, no one is ever speaking on the things, just fingers and thumbs flying this way and that, they're a GDHHSMID - Graphically Driven, Hand-Held, Social Media Interface Device.

This is NOT futuristic...it is here and NOW.
There are a lot of messages in this video, you didn't pick it up.
Tuomas loves technology, but this song is about people being consumed by their phones, instagram, the ideal woman/man, children constantly needing to smile o selfies, because it is so cute and you can show off on social media how happy everybody is, while most of what you see is fake, a fragment. Tuomas being a "greenlover"" online, but in his freetime he enjoys oilbaths, Empu falling out of the group with phones, getting beated over it and Kay only makes selfies of it, does not help.
The internet, technology is cool. If you use it wisely and balanced. Tell our children instagram is fake, that they are beautiful as they are (especially girls) Facebook, all the "happy families, food dish photo's, good times selfies"...it shows you just a fraction of a families life. Every famlly has it's problems, but we want to be perfect.
Again sir, this is NOT THE FUTURE, THIS IS NOW! ;)

You really did miss the whole message of this song. Social media and how it's fed to everyone all the way from small child to adult. How it's totally different from reality. Tuomas is hugging trees and recycling but in real life loving oil and so on. Please research song before reacting or or just listen what they sing.
