I've met Car Wizard in person. He's a genuinely good guy. My Partner and I are restoring the Allante we bought from him, and hope to drive it back to his shop once all of its issues are resolved.
There's a Plum Crazy the next block over from me. Always loved seeing it. The Daytona is definitely the best model of that generation Charger. Great job restoring it, Wizard!
I think I first saw one of these parked up outside a restaurant when I was working in Brazil in 2014 and I thought "what a nice car, wouldn't mind one of those". As someone who drives a car with 313,000 miles on the clock, I think that if the car has been regularly serviced with good quality materials, high mileage is nothing to be afraid of any more.
My electrician has a small Peugeot panel Van with over 600,000 km on the clock. He said he just always changes the oil at half the recommended service interval and carries out general servicing on the dot. He also says if a warning light comes on, get it checked out immediately and repair any defects as they occur. He reckons just by attending to faults promptly and the van will go on and on, day after day.
I am totally enjoying the revival of this Dodge! My mom still has her 2006 Charger she bought new and it gets looks as it’s stock and in nice condition. So many memories of shopping for these when they where new.
Great car and for the price you've paid for it, you can always upgrade the engine when the original goes out and still be on top financially. Great toy 👍
I’m dumbfounded that you can acquire a car like that for a total investment of $5k. Here in 🇨🇦, I can’t buy a 15 year old golf cart in decent condition for that price. I’m not a mopar fanboy, but I’d proudly drive that Top Banana Charger around my town. Well done Wizard.

You knocked it outta the park, Mr. Wizard! Great deal getting this car and you're making it look and sound awesome. Love the flag plate on the front. Not a big fan of the yellow but that's just me. Will be watching for the next update.
I agree but the yellow doesn't bother as much on this as it does on other cars. I can't figure it out but it has something to do with all the Black stripes and Daytona on it.
I'm not a fan of yellow on cars unless they're muscle cars - especially Chargers and older Challengers. I don't know why, but Mopar does great with yellow.
Great video. I bought a 05 rt magnum in slilver. I added cuda stripes on sude from ebay. 4 years ago from a older couple who had it dealer serviced. Ive got 210,000 on it now. Hey Wizard, 06 charger SRT8, 84K owner here. Extending the olive branch, currently have mine torn down to the block, due to dreaded lifter failure took out the cam, the "hemi tick" issue. Reach out if you have any questions, I previously had an 05 magnum, same lx platform. Quick note: look up "pink thingy" that is in the shifter box, and change it immediately if not previously done, otherwise, carry a butterknife in the car. Also, Moog problemsaver is the go to for all suspension bushings, tie rods, etc. These also have a recall for fuel pump, check your vin on that. After a fill up, car might shut off, like at a stop light. If replacing ANY sensors, go OEM only, trust me on this one, been there, done that, got the merit badge. There are a few good Facebook groups with some really smart folks on there. For your exhaust replacement, make sure you put in the short flex pipe pieces, they go just after the cats, these help save on your cat back sections and hangers, they lessen the movement on the pipes when you romp on it. Enjoy it. I agree, its like driving freedom. And when you are at her second home, the gas pump, just remember, it's not about the $$$, its 'smiles per gallon!'
Not 1 panel clip broken during replacement, that’s rare for a dodge. I would of disabled the MDS on it as it’s a known problem on these cars. My friend paid 4500 for an 07 rt with an interior that’s kind of falling apart, smashed subframe, and a minor oil leak which which is pretty good in my book because it’s also a rust free California car with only 150,000 miles. He has No running problems currently
When buying a used vehicle, I stopped caring what the mileage is at and go by the condition/service history. Some of the worst used vehicles I have ever owned were ones with very low mileage. When you have a car with 250k on the clock, the game now becomes "how many miles can I put on this baby?"
Same, my old mustang took me to 287k and it was just maintained well. Meanwhile my new Jetta had a 36k service history gap and is in the shop for a timing chain at only 108k. 🙄
I have a former taxi that had 399,000 miles on the clock when I bought it. It now has over 436,000 on it, and has cost me way more than the original purchase price in repairs - including a secondhand engine and gearbox plus clutch, timing belt and service items. It's literally a game of "how many miles can I put on this baby?", with a side of "and how much is it going to cost me?". Sometimes I look at the odometer while driving it and burst out laughing. My next target is 477,710 miles, which is the average distance to the moon and back.
@@Zeem4 good point. I was rolling with him until I had to think “what issues could a 36k car have” mainly electrical I’m sure. No matter how good a car is maintained engine / trans issues are soon to come which are the issues you are more likely ovoid with a younger milage car. Plus the worries of cheap aftermarket suspension/ other parts.
Yep I had bought a super low mileage 05 cummins years ago. Wish I had never bought it, I think it had 24k on it when I got it in 2012 or around there. Would've been better to buy a maintained truck that had 124k on it probably. Learned my lesson on that though.
Shocking as this is going to sound, the current 300/Charger/Challenger STILL ride on the same bones as this Charger. Thanks for the great video Car Wizard!
a friend of mine had one of those years back and he actually disabled the MDS so it would always run on 8 cylinders. looks like a car you should be in AWESOME!! it would look a lot better with newer black dodge wheels
That’s an issue people don’t realize. You can’t just shut off MDS and expect your lifters to be saved. You need to do the Camshaft Swap to a Non MDS Camshaft and swap the lifters for Non MDS lifters. When it’s in 8 cylinder mode, Chrysler’s genius asses figured it would be a good idea to conserve oil going to the Lifters. So when you shut off MDS, it doesn’t solve anything. This is a huge issue and so is idling. I idled my car to hell & back and suffered from an exploding lifter. I also drove around in Manual mode which disables MDS. So both of those played a huge role in my engine detonating lol. I’ve got it rebuilt now, running great. Just doing a transmission pump install now & slapping it back together.
These cars aren’t shit to work on. Mechanics dream. So, if the lifter blows up again, idc lol. All it did was chew up my camshaft. I took this time to do brand new everything. I wasn’t playing around lol.
@@BWADaniel See the 5.7 in my 2011 Ram has 212,000 miles on it's original engine and has had absolutely zero of the MDS issues people always talk about, and this truck has lived a life, so I can fairly confidently say that I think the system is fairly robust
Hello Wizard, When pulling interior trim, I found a new tool several years ago: Take an empty 3-4" diameter wire spool and roll in under the trim. It will "walk up" on the metal clips while also bearing a load before and behind. Easiest trim tool I have ever used for I/P (dash board including front radio HVAC trim) PS: Mistake is getting down in the mouth over miles. It is a survivor and because it has many miles you can continue to drive vs. being worried about loss of history for a museum. P-Chi
You should install a melling High Volume oil pump to keep that cam from going flat. The oil pressure on these hemis drops to 15 to 20psi at idle… and I would buy a programmer and shut that off. MDs is the death of hemis
This car is really looking great. For $3,000 it's a steal. I still have my 14' Hemi Charger I bought 4 years ago with 93,000 miles on it, and I plan to keep it long term. 5.7 and it has been trouble free, and I take care of it really well. I added front and rear strut bars for more stability, and I noticed the handling is quite a bit better. Also a dash mat for the dashboard. Some people don't like dash mats, but I think it looks good, and it does protect the dash from cracking. Plus I garage my car, so that helps too. You for sure scored with this one, looking forward to stage 3.
Cost of gas. Within 5 years, you would spend 10,000 dollars compared towards a 4 cylinder that spends 5,000 on gas. That is without mentioning the extra cost of oil changes. All in all, an awesome cheap muscle car for nothing.
@Austin Batton that's just how some people think I suppose. I do kinda see where he's coming from, especially when the gas prices are over $7 a gallon in some places, but yeah, thinking a car is better than another solely based on fuel economy is a bit far fetched.
You've done a fine job with this one, it looks and drives like it has a lot less miles. There are decent used vehicles out there, I've been lucky with the ones I've bought. Just focus on condition, not color or options.
This Charger is coming together so well!! You are a amazing mechanic who really knows his trade. I have watched your videos for years and you never cease to amaze me!
Love it! I had a 2007 Charger RT from 2013-2016. Paid too much and bought it used and abused from a Dodge dealer. Couldn't keep up with the maintenance and payments and had to get rid of it and buy something sensible. It was fun while I had it though.
Wizard, thank you again for keeping this cool vehicle out of the scrapyard. Good stuff on the moldings, I know some don't like them but I've always liked them and paid to have them installed on the vehicles I own.
I discovered the Wizard's car attitude but much later in life ... Whether it's cars or motorcycles, people can be totally obsessed with mileage/condition ... I get their point of view ... I've owned a multitude of cars & bikes ... only to ride, drive them on weekends. In order to keep wear/tear & mileage down to keep it's value up. The rest of the time they just sat in my garage. I did this for years. Then reached my 50's and reassessed my whole reason for having cars/bikes ... I soon found that DRIVING your car/bike on a daily basis (for me anyway) brings much more joy. Isn't that the whole reason we're 'petrol heads'? I can now live with patina on my car. I maintain it, polish it, look after it & drive it ... daily! The Wizards Car is basically my 92 vet. Over 200 000 plus miles, some patina but still looks good.
My first car was a base model 07 Charger. Im now on my second car which is a scat pack charger. Its so nice to see the older chargers getting love on youtube. First with Jared at wrench every day, now Wizard.
My truck makes the same noise at around 1500 rpm when the mds is enabled. Luckily, I have the ability to throw it into tow/haul and it disables the mds so no more bad sounds. Sweet car wizard!
OMG I actually watched someone else besides me from the Motor Pool work. It’s a Miracle. Lol like I said I had 16 years with 2406 of 4000 Go Mango never had to replace the defroster panel or had any major body issues or engine issues. Replaced the compressor twice, one water pump, master cylinder, and only one injector in 116,000 miles. Great Videos Thank You 🙏
You did really great on this one, with the new lights and all it looks fresh again, it runs well, never mind the mileage, it's maintenance that counts.
Yeah, I like it. It's one of those cars that are not handling the test of time... Driven hard, not cared for. In the future good ones will probably be worth a bit. The forgotten and ignored cars often end up that way.
I got similar reactions from people when I finished the body work and paint on my Magnum with the newer style charger front end swap and hellcat hood to match in a kind of midnight candy metallic blue and a nickel plate style powder coat on wheels. TBH I was going to toss the 200k 5.7 hemi because I was told something similar with the power loss and bad sound coming out of some way too loud exhaust. I did a full service, put on an exhaust with a similar goal to this car, and I couldn't tell what the previous owner was talking about at all. All I could come up with was the same MDS qualms, it was driven mostly in town in traffic and with the new bad-to-me exhaust I guess the previous owner thought it was dying since it basically sat in lower power mode most of the time in between/at stop lights.
What a difference just the headlights and fog lights made, let alone the other fixes! What a cool car and I love the color. Such a refreshing change from all the boring white/silver/grey cars out there.
the thing with 250K miles is that it got there and still looks good. I have a Ford Fairmont AU1 Wagon and it has 350,000k on it and I just replaced the engine (it cost less than rebuilding the original. the rest of the car is so good it is worth spending money on it.
Oh my old 99 Beetle had a version of MDS! It's way more noticeable to lose 2 of your 4 cylinders tho. For some reason the feature disabled when I got a new ignition coil.
Bro I love seeing you mess with theses Chargers because I bought my first car which was a 2010 sxt Dodge Charger a year ago and you've helped me figure out my car
Hey wizard, I ditched the MDS a couple of months after I bought my Daytona brand new and never looked back...Did it with the predator tuner...Actually got better gas mileage with it off! Makes a big difference in the drivability too...And it backs off the traction control to where it's not annoying anymore! It's still there just not in your face! That's the only mod I ever did to mine cause it worked so good. I highly recommend it! Gets rid of that lame sound and vibration too....

4cyl mode on my G8 GT, with stock exhaust (mufflers were huge), wasn't too bad. A bit of a lower pitch was all that you noticed. After installing a solo cat-back, it was horrrrible! I knew this going in, and used a flashpaq to turn it off.
Mines the same, it came disabled via a handheld tuner and I figured I’d give it a try to see what it sounded like. Through headers and a borla catback it was alarming to say the least 😂 got turned right back off
Oh man - that already looks SO much better! When it's done, no one is going to believe you when you tell them the mileage on the thing! You certainly made me think about the 6th gen Chargers, and I started looking to see if saw any on the roads here in London, Ontario - since your last video on it, 1. 1 6th gen, and it wasn't looking too healthy. They really have gotten pretty rare, and up here, if the owners weren't religious about oil-spraying it... most rusted out a long time ago.
For sun exposed bits, like the cracked piece you replaced, the whole dash etc, applying aerospace protectant 303 is a good idea. Used on airplanes and boats as well.
I Bought a Porsche 944 S with 289,894 on the odometer for 3,500 put 2k in it drove it as a daily from Spring - Fall. No rust ran wonderfully. Sold it recently to a young man and his dad for 5, 500 The Miles will always plague the vehicle. But if the body is clean and straight. Runs and drives fantastic. You can't go wrong. Yes it's a gamble. But even buying a new car or slightly used one is the same way. I would rather buy a sorted vehicle that was well taken care of. Then a car at a dealership with a price to good to be true with low mileage. Thanks for sharing wizard 🧙♂️
Mine is a fully loaded SXT 3.5L 5-SPEED, it was made with Daytona wheels, looks identical to a RT. I bought mine for $1700, had it for 5 years, in mint condition. I replaced timing belt, waterpump, new brake lines, transmission lines. It's a summer toy and work in progress like yours too. Fun car to drive
I own a 2007 Dodge Charger R/T. I bought it single-owner with 68k miles in June of 2021! It's currently sitting at 73,6XX miles and I've done a lot of quality of life changes to it. This car series is gonna be fun to watch for me!
Wizard does better than Hoovie on buying cars with problems. This car looks like it was possibly adult driven and then it was maybe passed down to teen driver. The miles are about the time the suspension was completely worn. The owner not knowing about cars like you mentioned, thought suspension noise was engine issues.
Love the Daytona, the only Chrysler I've liked in a long time,my favorite car I owned before nam was a 64 Belvedere dual quad 413,headers 4 speed,it hated clutches, but they were bad back then,it actually ran in the 12's,it was yellow with a black bench seat, because of med set backs no Daytona, but I do have a trusty old ml320,they are the German Timex, just keep running, great show Wiz and Mrs Wiz.
I had an ‘06 Magnum SRT8. Loved that car! You might want to check the side window defogger vents, they were something like $20 for a pair on Amazon. But on my Magnum, the adhesive and the locking clips failed, and the vents were floating in their holes. The replacements clipped in place and looked a bit blacked than the originals. You have to like a $20 repair that actually makes the dash look better!
As somebody who lives in the UK, that's an astonishing amount of car for the money! As for the mileage, there are loads of Saabs, Volvos and various other makes running around today with higher mileages with no problems other than regular maintenance. Yes, they're not as sexy, but give me a good og Saab 9-5 Aero to embarrass BMW (and other german makes). A complete sleeper of a car!
A good friend of mine had that same car in "go man go!", or "orange" as the rest of the world may know it. He bought it right when they first came out and kept it for many years, long after the warranty expired--which is always a chancy thing to do with a Chrysler, but he just loved the car that much. (I thought the seats were way too hard, but maybe that's just the performance car thing. I'm more of a land yacht La-Z-Boy man myself.)
That charger is actually a really nice car and a steal for what you’ve got into it. I really miss my 06 r/t it was a blast, mine had Daytona options on it with some srt8 parts too. Mine was the inferno red and I loved that color on it, keep more videos of this charger coming.
Love the new exhaust. Sounds nice and throaty. No popping. I hate popping. On any sports car. Makes them sound cheap and like they have a fuel mixture problem.
I have a 2012 R T classic challenger I got in September last year It have 49k on the car I had a repair shop in Knoxville TN with my dad and sold out but in the MDS or MSD I took the diablo I3 platinum tuner and turned it off that makes it a much pleasureable drive with no check ✔️ engine light on .
Definitely worth putting money into it, like you said for 3000 grand and you fix all the little stuff. You’re in it for 6 or 7 you can’t find one for under 10! Top Banana is an awesome color! So happy to see this being fixed and driven!! I have an '08 Hemi Orange I bought new and drive it occasionally now, as it lives in the garage.....low miles and numbered lol! I am curious what number the one you bought is. The number is located on the passenger side to the right of the glove box. Should be xxxx of 4000, which is the total that Dodge made in '06 of that color. Also little known fact, the #1 in Top Banana was crashed by Dodge for insurance testing!
I had a white 2007 dodge charger for 5 years it was my first car. I got it in 2017, bought off my mother after she got a “summer car” which was never even really driven by her so I bought it. drove it hard like any other 18 yr old kid would, cooked the front end and I was slowly rebuilding it when someone backed into it and totalled it back in december 😭😭😭 all I had left was the tie rod and she would’ve been 100% again….
I would be leery of getting more door moldings that are promised to be color matched. That yellow is very tough to get right. Maybe get it in black so it covers the rust and scratches and then doesn't need to match. You might as well test if you would like the look using the old pieces. Paint'em black with some fast drying lacquer and tape on the side to see if you like the look.
I have to agree with you 100% on exhaust noise. Some people have theirs sounding ridiculous loud. I say it will be a generation of kids that keep the hearing aid companies in business. I am a car guy, but a car on the street shouldn't sound like a dragster at the strip.
You got a good deal on the headlights, and the door! I like the old classic Blackbeard Flag. I recognized it right off from the Pirate Museum in St. Augustine, FL. You definitely polished that up and it looks great!
I just stumbled across your charger videos and man do they make me happy. This is a car that I grew up dreaming about. Seeing you put new life and some care into this car is awesome. I'd love to own one of these gen Chargers some day but they are really hard to get in Germany. Until then I'll take good care of my 2012 :D
If your hearing, feeling the eng go into 4cyl mode you have a big problem. When it deactivates the cylinders you can't tell, ever. More than likely you have a bad camshaft. The lifter failed and damaged the lobe. Do an aggressive acceleration and then the damaged profile on the lobe causes the lifter to collapse. Then the eng shakes until it the rpms are down for a bit. Then the lifter pumps back up and the eng smooths out. If you cleared the memory you lost the misfire counter so no ck eng light. Drive it too long and the roller breaks apart and drops into the engine. At that point you can destroy the eng with all the metal bits. Just take the time and pull the valve covers and measure the lift and the valves while rotating the eng by hand. You can pop the cam and lifters in in about 8 hours. I did 2 this week alone. Not a big deal to do.
I just bought a 2012 pursuit that had an engine swap about 60k miles ago. Seller didn't realize it was a recent swap. Runs, drives, shifts, and stops great. Couple dings and dents and a few things I want to get done. But I picked it up for 6500 bucks because hemis are shooting up in price QUICK, and a charger or challenger with a hemi is basically my dream. Only needed an oil pressure sensor and a couple of nuts/bolts/lock washers because a previous owner/service tech stripped two bolts on the transmission pan. Not the prettiest fix, but it worked and the transmission is now dry. Interestingly, on the "extras" portion of my equipment list, it listed as being optioned with a "MOPAR High Performance Dual Exhaust." Don't know if that was standard equipment on all pursuit chargers, but i thought it was interesting
I would recommend turning the MDS off with a simple tuner if you can find a cheap one. Even with the new mufflers it’ll still sound bad when MDS kicks on.

I've met Car Wizard in person. He's a genuinely good guy. My Partner and I are restoring the Allante we bought from him, and hope to drive it back to his shop once all of its issues are resolved.
This channel is great, i am uk also, no bullshit, clickbait, crazy camera work, attention seeking, no ego, with humour and honesty! 🙂
Small fixes really are making a big difference Wizard! Great work and really appreciate learning from you.
I've got an 07 SRT8 Charger, needs a bunch of work too. This video was good motivation to keep getting more done on it. That 6.1 hemi is a beast.
Agreed. Especially if the car has been well maintained, 100,000 miles is a break in period.
I love this channel, so relaxing, informative, and hilariously comedic in a classy subtle way.
I feel your pain. We put a new engine in our old Durango because you couldn't find a decent SUV for under $18k out here.
Like the old movie line: "TOTO, I think we are not in Kansas anymore." Kansas is in the USA. California is ,well California. Different worlds...
i’m up here in canada too and i found a charger r/t (not daytona) with half the mileage of wizard’s and it’s AWD. paid $6500 ($5000 usd). no issues at all i’m super happy with it
@@slymes Nice find, have fun with it.
@@Bill_Hartnett you couldn't find a decent vehicle for under 18k? where did u look? The dealership?? I have bought 4 trucks at my local San Diego auction for under 5K all 4 of them. People amaze me.
That car is sharp. Joe Rogan has the best joke for yellow cars that involves the Duck Dynasty grandpa comment and being censored after it
Great video. I bought a 05 rt magnum in slilver. I added cuda stripes on sude from ebay. 4 years ago from a older couple who had it dealer serviced. Ive got 210,000 on it now. I thought about selling it but it runs so good and gets ALOT of attention. Your video just confirms that i should jeeo it then swap a used eng orcyrans when tbey go. Thanks mr and mrs wizard
It's amazing to see one of those chargers. I haven't seen one with regular sized rims in years.
I missed that part of the video. When was there a Challenger?
@@YourWifesBoyfriend pardon me Charger* I will edit
Still junk, but it definitely looks a lot better
@@JStryker7 Who hurt you, sweety?
Only blacks and Mexicans drove these things here lol
Not 1 panel clip broken during replacement, that’s rare for a dodge. I would of disabled the MDS on it as it’s a known problem on these cars. My friend paid 4500 for an 07 rt with an interior that’s kind of falling apart, smashed subframe, and a minor oil leak which which is pretty good in my book because it’s also a rust free California car with only 150,000 miles. He has No running problems currently
Would have. Not would of.
I’m looking at a 2014 R/T AWD. It has a smashed front subframe but still drives fine, it has a rebuilt title for that.
@@Hamsalad2 the one my friend owns had a clean Indiana title when he got it
I like how you show actually working on it on the last couple of videos
Yea same. It's got a lot of miles for a reason
The older ones like that didn't have lifter problems like the later ones, it was valve seats on them which was already dealt with on it.
Black wheels are a hideous trend. They ruin the look of a vehicle.
Hello Wizard,
When pulling interior trim, I found a new tool several years ago: Take an empty 3-4" diameter wire spool and roll in under the trim. It will "walk up" on the metal clips while also bearing a load before and behind. Easiest trim tool I have ever used for I/P (dash board including front radio HVAC trim)
PS: Mistake is getting down in the mouth over miles. It is a survivor and because it has many miles you can continue to drive vs. being worried about loss of history for a museum.
P-Chi
Sweet Charger Wizard! The defrost panel on my wife's 09 Impala is cracked too. Sounds like a trip to the junkyard for a "new" one.
You should install a melling High Volume oil pump to keep that cam from going flat. The oil pressure on these hemis drops to 15 to 20psi at idle… and I would buy a programmer and shut that off. MDs is the death of hemis
Cams don’t go bad on those old ones. That’s 2009+ they burn up cams
Where do you get one
@@godemperormeow8591 but the happiness of owning the 5.7 will far exceed any measly 4 cylinder

It’s been mostly a game of luck for me. Most recent car, an Infiniti J30 lucky number six, hasn’t failed me.
True. New cars ain't cracked up to be what they claim.
Good stuff on the moldings, I know some don't like them but I've always liked them and paid to have them installed on the vehicles I own.
i think the wizard did a fantastic job with this car. you can tell he really likes this car alot
Sweet Charger 😎
Those new headlights makes huge difference and those yellow foglights look great too 👍
Very nice sound 🎶
Have an ‘07 SRT8 300 myself. Love the car. Been across the country and back in it. It’s been reliable as ever.
Oh my old 99 Beetle had a version of MDS! It's way more noticeable to lose 2 of your 4 cylinders tho. For some reason the feature disabled when I got a new ignition coil.
With Will Smith banned from Hollywood, I hear there's a vacancy for another talented big screen actor. Great performance, Wizard!
That is by far the best car in your garage. Love it.
You and Jared inspired my wife to restore her 2006 dark blue charger now that we have a garage after closing in the house
Bro I love seeing you mess with theses Chargers because I bought my first car which was a 2010 sxt Dodge Charger a year ago and you've helped me figure out my car
I love mine it's a 2007 with over 300000 miles on it it's a sub-lime so I get lots of looks a very cool car I love mine
To avoid the MDS drone, use the slap stick shifter. That’s how I drive my Magnum R/T 🇨🇦
Explain please. I have an 07 RT

Hey wizard,
I ditched the MDS a couple of months after I bought my Daytona brand new and never looked back...Did it with the predator tuner...Actually got better gas mileage with it off!
Makes a big difference in the drivability too...And it backs off the traction control to where it's not annoying anymore! It's still there just not in your face!
That's the only mod I ever did to mine cause it worked so good. I highly recommend it! Gets rid of that lame sound and vibration too....
Glad to see you're having some fun! What a great find.
Although I understand you aim to provide more car overview content, It’s cool to see you perform some of the work as you did in this video. I agree there’s are already a ton of “wrenching” content so that’s not what you’re going for on this channel. But, once in while consider adding content similar to shown in this video; really enjoyed it! May also be able to tag the video’s w/ the procedures you’re performing to draw additional views from folks who are may also need advice on those procedures for cars they’re working on. Keep up the good work!
Through headers and a borla catback it was alarming to say the least 😂 got turned right back off
When I think of what the wisard's car collection would hold, this one fit's in perfectly. Nice ride wisard!
I love the sound of the muffler delete that it had but to each their own
Thanks for showing us your removing and replacing the defrost panel. Now I’ve got some idea what goes on.
Wizard likes this car so much that I think the 308 now belongs to Mrs. Wizard.
She will fit in the furry better than him.
I have a sublime 07 Daytona and love it. Thanks for giving recognition to the value of these cars.
Nice work Car Wizard! Bypass the displacement management system. It degrades the life of the engine and your fun!
I’m glad you kept some sound in the exhaust rather than going completely stock. Sounds great
For sun exposed bits, like the cracked piece you replaced, the whole dash etc, applying aerospace protectant 303 is a good idea. Used on airplanes and boats as well.
I use it on every new or used vehicle and it’s the best!
Believe it or not, for the black trim around the windshield, a lot of people use peanut butter to restore the black.
“It runs perfect”- Until the 250,000 mile engine blows up.
He already mentioned, then he'll put in a fresh 2nd hand one. Still cheap.
Mine has close to 211,000 and it runs just fine, as long as you keep up with the basic maintenance on these cars they'll keep going.
I Bought a Porsche 944 S with 289,894 on the odometer for 3,500 put 2k in it drove it as a daily from Spring - Fall. No rust ran wonderfully. Sold it recently to a young man and his dad for 5, 500
The Miles will always plague the vehicle.
Great purchase and very smart phased restoration. Love it!
This car series is gonna be fun to watch for me!
yeah, nice job Mr. Wizard. only if you could deactivate that MBS system , do it before it ruins your lifters and cam shaft. Always a good show,
Wizard does better than Hoovie on buying cars with problems. This car looks like it was possibly adult driven and then it was maybe passed down to teen driver. The miles are about the time the suspension was completely worn. The owner not knowing about cars like you mentioned, thought suspension noise was engine issues.
Everyone shook when he dropped the door, I jumped when he pulled that pillar panel, black safety strap clip got owned.
Much props and accolades to the accomplishment of getting that great machine together, sounds really good too, powerful it not loud and obnoxious!
That car will look beautiful when your done. Great job Car Wizard! I love that car!
Hey Wizard & Mrs Wizard, wow Wizard, you have gotten to be quite the showman!!! Thanks for sharing another great video!!! 👍👍🙂
Can’t believe what a difference the new headlights make. 100% better
Im a Mopar guy had 2 R/T chargers an 07 and a 09 and 2 magnums 05 3.5 HO with 275,000 miles didn’t burn a drop of oil and now I have an 06 R/T AWD I bought for 4500 sat for 6 years I put about 3500 into it and it looks mint! Love your channel
That's the best looking $4000 car Ive seen in a few years. If you get 24 months of use out of it, then this car is nothing but a bucket of WIN.
The "odd sound" reminds me of early versions of Microsoft Windows - "It's not a bug, it's a feature"
Love the Charger that color reminds me of a ski boat I had from the 70's a Tahiti 16 foot I painted yellow and black I nicknamed it the Bumble-Bee!
What a transformation in such a short amount of time, I love it!
It's pretty cool of you to always mention the mechanic that's doing the work on the cars that you show in these videos. 👍
Simple Green!!!!! Yessir i LOVE that stuff. I use it for everything. Motors, wheels, carpets, seat, floors at home, washroom, sneakers etc etc
I love this car!!! I wish I had one this year model. You did a good job bringing it back to life!!
She's comming along pretty well. Sweet car. Nice to see you do some little work here and there in your vids.
I would recommend turning the MDS off with a simple tuner if you can find a cheap one. Even with the new mufflers it’ll still sound bad when MDS kicks on.
As someone that has seen this car from the beginning and seen what Wizard has done I'll tell ya its really a nice car! Total score!!!!
