    This was a cool experiment! I think the soft light combined with the bag gave a lot of these photos an underwater look that is very unique!

      Right!? I can't precisely explain it, but somehow they look underwater haha :D
      Glad you like them🤗
      Thank you Reimann!

    The dreamy effects reminds me of dreamy woodland effects used in 1980's TV series (like Robin of Sherwood, and the film Excalibur).

    I really like the bag technique that you are trying here. As you said in the video, it definitely gives off some impressionist vibes which I love, love the shot at 12:25

    If I had to name the best fotography youtuber it would be you. Not focused on expensive THE ONLY CAMERA YOU EVER NEED type of videos, rather a artistic way of making fotos and how it should be.

    I recommend trying one of those cheap CCD digicams to achieve somewhat of a similar effect. Great video as usual!

    Mandatory maybe a strong word but, I think a CPL filter is mandatory specially since you shoot a lot of foliage, puddles/lakes, open skies...etc

    i prefer the first version @11:50 over the 2nd version. for my tastes, the effect is too strong in the 2nd version. also, if it were my image i would probably selectively brighten the lit portions of your intended subject and dial down the bright trees in the center, at least to the point that they balance the intended subject.

      Ahh I see, thanks for sharing!🤗
      I did that actually, but probably just not as strong as you would have done it. I felt that more would become strangely unnatural🤔

    Interesting approach with plastic bag ....

  • @danielspeis7558
    @danielspeis7558 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Teo, I noticed you used the bag in two different ways: holding the bag in front of the lens, and putting the bag over the lens. Do you know if one or the other variation produced those neat light flares? Never tried this technique before, but was thinking that putting the bag over the lens might be more likely to result in the cool light flares. I think I want to try this. Thanks for the inspiration!

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure, glad you enjoyed it! :)
      When you just hold it in front of the lens you get a very soft photograph because you're shooting through two layers, whereas when you shoot through the bag you only have one layer so it's not as strong of an effect. The flares mostly come from wrinkles in the bag so to get them on purpose you can simply hold the bag in a way that it's not straight :)

    can you put in the iso aperture shutter speed ?

  • @acmdv

    It might be worth investing in a Promist filter.

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love Promist Filters, but not for this - they have a different effect. Usually they soften edges and bloom the highlights, whereas the bag additionally fades the image and decreases contrast.
      Also Promist Filters are wonderfully controlled, but in this case I actually enjoyed the versatility of the effect and that it never turned out the same🤗
