It's so funny seeing the elephant bullying the lions. Especially the males. The king title goes out the window when big bull arrives. Look how huge he is compared to the lions.

@@weathercapsulein5636 dude African elephants are 30 percent larger the largest Asian elephant recorded was only 11 tons while the largest African elephant was 13 tons. African elephants are also much more experienced in fighting large groups of big cats due to the fact that they usually encounter large groups of lions. Hence they are far more aggressive than Asian elephants

I think eplehant are king of the jungle because in some mythologies and religions it is believed that elephants made the jungle and helped create the jungle with their tusks and fertiliser

@Vishwas Shashidhar : lioness mostly do the hunting not male one. Lion is very lazy animal. Also it always hunts in a group not alone until its a small prediator. He ran away when he feel threat no courage to stand alone so lions are cowerds and fuc**g ass**le animal. Only in movies he is a king.

Hey Guys, please understand this. The Lion is a king, but king among only the cats and cat family. Again, if and only if it is with it's pride and his queens or consorts. Not at all the king of the animal kingdom as shown in the movie 'The Lion King'. The Elephants, Hippos, Rhinos, Crocs will never respect Lion as king even with it's pride. For the fact, none would but at least if the Lion is the strongest among its peers, you can say the queens and pride would make it a formidable king of the cat family, which is the best that a Lion can get.

Male elephants aren't gentle, at all. Lonely bulls in the breed season can even kill other hervibores out of spite. They get REALLY aggresive, even to other elephants (wich is why they are alone, they get exiled from their herds). Elephants in herds are far more calm.

Only during daylight. At night the balance of power shifts as lions can see it clearly while elephants see no better than us and are disadvantaged
Except bull elephants and rhinos and hippos, even big cats have no chance against these behemoths. Rhinos have very poor eyesight, yet they are too powerful for any lions and hyenas, same with bull elephants, I've seen hippos killing lions, with one bite, it was brilliant.
Francesco Brosolo lions mostly target smaller elephants usually the babies so is the reason for the shift of power. There is a panic among elephants, but no, a group of lions cannot bring down an adult male or female elephant.
According to BBC it will take 30 lions to kill a small elephant and it took them several hours.
