Jackson bite fd!! Can’t find a lot of videos about it the knarr is way to heavy I live 5 min from a access point for kayaks and sups on the Great Lake Chickamauga
I think you need to add hull material to the list. There is a huge difference between blow molded and rotomolded kayaks. If anyone is unsure of the difference between the two go and hold an Igloo cooler and a Yeti cooler.
I have to agree with the you, do it like a house, get the one you want and then build up from there. I still got to figure out the pedal or paddle. Ultimately I want to be joining tournaments, just don't want to get too excited and overzealous and end up screwing myself
I bought a Cabelas Ascend 10T a year ago. Didn't do any research on it other than the length and weight which is fine. And it was on sale. After I got it on the water I discovered it is only 31" wide and very tipsy. But I've gotten used to it and do quite well. But I hope to move up to the Crescent Shoalie whenever my budget allows. Thanks for the tips guys.
To fish at sunrise or sunset, you also need at least a white light. That can be a headlamp or some other kind of specialized kayak light. If the kayak is motorized, then you also need red & green bow lights.
Started last year in a Teton Pro 116 and about a month ago added an Old Town 106PDL. I also just joined the local Kayak-Anglers chapter and will be hitting the tournament circuit for the first time ever. You guys do realize that this is all your fault right ;)
I really enjoy your videos. I am looking to buy my first kayak and I am considering the Native Watercraft Titan X Propel 12.5. I know it is a large heavy kayak, but I want a larger kayak for its stability and upgradability. I like the layout and its many features like the 360-swivel seat, Propel Pedal Drive, and stability. I like the idea of having a kayak that I can upgrade over time. I have a large spreadsheet with all the must have items and their cost, taxes, and fees for all the kayaks I am considering. Your videos help me make sure I am not missing or forgetting anything. I don't live far from you guys, I am in Fort Wayne, IN.
Funny y’all mentioned soda cans in this video. I purchased my sit in yak way back in elementary school mostly from cashing in cans for a couple years. - Can’t wait to see videos w Paul’s OT 106 PDL once dumb ole winter is gone. I’m currently saving up my cans thinking that’s my future pedal yak upgrade.
Found a used oldtown predator mx from 2022 with electroniks for around 1200, that feels like great value. Was looking for a pedal, but I might just pick this one up and put a motor on it as I allready have a good lithium battery. But it's hard buying used, cuz you know that right after you made a deal. A better one just pops up out of nowhere.
The pedal, paddle, motor, battle. I currently run the BSB Angler 360. I'm looking to add a throw and go paddle kayak for water with minimal access. I'm leaning SKF atm, but still have some more research to do.
The milk crate statement couldnt be more true haha ive had mine for years and i have no idea where it came from but its my go to with the pelican exocrate bag that slips over it and its has been a solid crate set up for the last two years
Yeah, the only time the paperwork is required is if it was registered. If it was registered you can look up the registration using the vin and if it wasn't you can use the bill of sale + vin to generate the first registration

I love my Old Town Sportman 120 PDL have a trailer for it have 46 Newport thrust at the bow with GPS Just love this kayak . 6’3” 190 lbs Let tro. Benting Branches 255 cm paddle too short .need 270
Im looking at Crescents new Primo as a throw n go, but was wondering if you guys could do an on water review when it warms up. 699 bucks and I could get my wife out of her pelican sis. For the money, imo, its the best river boat out there.
Im glad you pointed out transportation. Theres a guy a block away from where I live, that just bought a Native Titan a couple days ago. He’s got a small SUV with a truck bed extender he’s using to transporting. the kayak sits at least 5 to 6 feet past the bed extender. So every time he turns the corner, he’s swinging 8 foot of kayak behind him. People need to know not to be this idiot. Have some common sense.
What fishing kayak do you want to pick up?
Hobie 360

The Kayak community should find a way to pin this video to the top of all our forums! Well done!
Thanks!

For me as a teen, I am gonna get one of those tucket foldable kayaks with a paddle. It is easy enough for me to setup and it’s slot cheaper for me!

I’ve been yakkin my whole life and I’m 54. I’ve never had a pedal drive yak though. That’s why I’m here. 👍🏻

The Titan X is a great yak!
Best and most concise overview yet!

Great Video! I went low to mid range paddle. I got a Catch Mode 110 to hit some small water. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! something to watch Friday night!
You need to mention briefly navigation lights. Electrics for trailer. Towing hitches + electrics.
I would point out if you want to get a motor buying used can be a headache if you don’t get all the paperwork you need to get it registered

Looking for an inshore kayak right now. Definitely going to get a pedal vs paddle to start.
Ironically we save pop cans at our work, and when we have enough we buy breakfast burritos for the entire company and it's a pretty good size
Best use I've heard yet

Ck1 is great too, all of em are. We need to try that and the new skiff. We should be able to do another rundown this summer
Used is the way to go!
I have a NuCanoe U10 and I amaze people at the ramp when I’m loading and unloading.. I have one arm and one leg and load and unload my kayak myself.
That’s awesome!
@@aaanglers thank you! People laugh and say I’m stupid. No I’m just not lazy.

What about pac motors have you guys reached out to those guys ?
No not yet
Could you guys do a video on anchors and how and when to use them?
We've done a few in the past. Check our channel for em.
The bro mance 😂 I love it
Always save your cans to get the deposit back 👍
# 6: Plenty of Green Dragon available.
seat/sitting is one of the most important IMHO
great breakdown of the options
There’s also the financing route
Technically lol
Fun fact. All the socks you lose in the dryer eventually morph into a milk crate somewhere in your house.
