    I find that your style and methods work best for me. It's very convenient to finish your edges and leave stitching for last. Then touch up edges again if needed. Thank you for another wonderful vid 👍

    Lovely video... a question... when you stamp your logo is the leather damp? Or are you just rawdogging it dry?

    I know this posting was a while back but I’m just beginning my projects. What is the knife you use to cut the template? About 0:42 into the video. Brass and I like how it’s square versus round so easier to get a grip. Not on your Amazon list but have purchased things off there. Thanks!!

    I really love watching your videos, you’re so accurate and calm ☺️ I was wondering what kind of glue do you use to make the wallet. Thank you so much for sharing this 🙏🏻

      I love hearing that! Thanks for watching. I use Aquilim 315 for the glue. Hope that helps!

    I need some advice. I have trouble getting clean corners with the Craftool corner punch. When I hammer it into the leather, I get cuts similar to the ones @ 7:30, and I have to cut more leather to try and fix it. Do I need to align the corner punch differently? Should I place it further out so that the side extremities of the blade are not touching the leather (then do a bit of sanding to give the corner a smoother/rounder shape)?

    • @LowTideLeather
      @LowTideLeather  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey! Although the punch at 7:30 was intentionally punched like that, I have experienced the same accidental punch with the craftool. Ive noticed that the one-sided bevel on the punch tends to naturally curve inward as youre punching. I usually strike the punch 3-4 times and make sure that the shaft is completely straight so that it doesnt angle. Does that make sense?

    Hey man sorry for the silly question I’m new to the craft . When stitching round holes do use the same technique as diamond holes eg saddle stitch ? I noticed you just go in and out with out wrapping thread around the second needle I guessing that makes the slant but round holes you don’t need too???? Am I correct sorry I’m a grommet here asking newbie questions

    Maybe it's just a style choice but any reason for the round holes on this one vs diamond stitches on the watch strap?

    You’ve inspired me to pull the trigger on a set of $inabroks... Just curious as to why you chose to go with punch irons rather than their round dent pricking irons?

    • @LowTideLeather
      @LowTideLeather  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You wont regret it. They are amazing. And Ive never really heard great things about the round dent. Ive never tried them but a lot of people say theyre hard to work with

    • @ayb365
      @ayb365 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. You’re spot on when you say the round dent irons are not so easy to use... that’s what I’m realizing the more I read people’s feedback.
      I’m assuming 1.5mm is most likely the measurement at the widest diameter of the punch tubes?
