Shout out to whoever decided that “what excellent boiled potatoes” was a pivotal clip to add 🔥👌🏽

Those 4 words sum up his personality perfectly.

Waht excellent boyuld pohtaytohs. 😂

What excellent boiled potatoes🥔🥔
I almost spit out my drink at that part 🤣🤣
@@tashinah.4781 GURL, SAME
Most iconic moment in the movie for sure
Comedy gold😂
@@tashinah.4781 me too lol 😂 ❤
How dare you cut out the “…most ardently” 😂
Ikr
You're comment made me flip 😂
I love- 👄 I love- 👄 I love you 👄
Exactly ☠️
I had to finish the line 😂
The HAND flex. 😂😂😂 Absolutely required content 10/10
- I've been so blind.
- A THOUSAND TIMES YES
Keira Knightley was absolutely stunning in this
In this film they even down graded her beauty by trying to make her look plain as the character she plays is not meant to be overly beautiful but it's hard to hide when you look like her.
Really one of a kind beauty
@@Hotchocheroi've heard that too in fact in an interview keira herself told that the director first didn't want to cast her saying she was too beautiful and then when he met her irl he was like oh you're fine- it was so funny how she told the story i love her energy
Her hair was hideous throughout. Her Pirates #1 movie hair would've looked great. I do realize they were toning down her beauty but it was heavy handed I think.
@@JLCRH What are you saying brooo!! Absolutely not. In fact In Pirates of the Carribean she is the governors daughter....so it makes sense for someone at a higher post to have such extravagant hairstyles. Elizabeth Bennett comes from a poor family...all of their hairstyles arr made simply. Besides the entire point of her character is that she is simple yet sharp. The focus is more on her wit than her looks, therefore the choice of fashion is simple. Besides, I personally loveee the bangs on her ❤️❤️
Mr. Darcy had an instant crush on her as soon as he saw her.
IKR 😢
Yes, and he was pretending otherwise from the beginning
Have you actually read the novel?
Lady Catherine scaaared meee HAHA. It went from happy and crying newly engaged Jane and Bingley to her face so fast 😭😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣😂 stOp this cracked me upp!!
"What excellent boiled potatoes."
😂
Tom Hollander was a brilliant Mr Collins but I think both of the actors in the mini series and the 2005 film, created an equally compelling performance of everything that Mr Collin's character stood for, equally as annoying lol!
This is hands down the BEST version of Pride And Prejudice made so far (& I highly doubt it can ever be topped.)
Agree! Just watched it again!
Disagree, I prefer the 1995 mini serie. Much faithful to the book, and we really see her change of feeling. In this one we don't know how she passes from hate to love so quickly... I still love this one and watched it 100 times when I was a kid, but the mini serie is way better in my opinion
@@sixtinegrasset4272 I am actually tied on both.....I was living in Uk at the time the mini series came out and fell in love with Ehle and Firth but then adored Knightley and Macfadyen later on...esepcially with the wonderful music score by the talented Dario Marianelli so I have two that I can watch every so often and that keeps it all fresh!
The best version of Pride and Prejudice. The best Elizabeth and the best Mr Darcy.
BBC one was the best
“……most ardently.”
"You have bewitched me body and soul" DUDE LEAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US 🙉
I know I’m insane for wanting this, but I wish men still dressed like Mr Darcy. 😭😂
I wish women dressed like Keira in this movie
The way he said “I love you”
the stuttering was his idea. The script just said I love you. makes it so much better🥹😍
The zoom in gets me every time 😂😂
This was brilliant!!! ❤ and of course the boiled PoTAtOes bit had to be included 😂
This isn't LotR, but we still have to have excellent boiled potatoes 😂
😂
Ahem, Donald Sutherland tearing up and laughing would like a word.
This will always be peak enemies to lovers romance 🥺🥺🥺
Because it was the original! All other enemy to lovers stories came after.
Lol I love how Darcy was in denial in his attraction to Lizzy from the very start. Must be really difficult for a rich man to fall in love to commoners those days. So many things to say in all the scenes. Must have watched this film more than 70 times 💕
Same here
I agree except Lizzie was from the same Gentry class as him at least via her paternal side. He just objected to her maternal side and mostly her mother and sister's behaviors.
Let's review facts of the movie. If the Benett's were of the same gentry they should afford to marry off their daughters with a decent amount of dowry. That is why the beautiful Jane is still not married. Stress on the inferiority of Lizzy's birth coming from Darcy in his first proposal--Mr. Darcy: "Miss Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing you... I had to see you. I have fought against my better judgment, my family's expectations, the inferiority of your birth by rank and circumstance. All these things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony."
@@MamitaClaud They couldn't because they were not careful enough to save money until too late. They were estate owners with an estate owner's income like all gentlemen. Mr. Darcy was referring to Elizabeth's mother's family, not her father's. Even Lady Catherine agrees her father is a gentlemen but that her mother's family is inferior.
Oh the irony
I've watched this movie so many times that i remember all the dialogues in their perfect accent now😂
ماهو اسم الفيلم...؟؟
I missed the scene where he smiled at Pemberly when she entered 😍
It was that or the boiled potatoes.. 😉
MOST ARDENTLY. The line is I love you MOST ARDENTLY.
great recap. still gonna watch it next week
Obrigado pelo seu "gosto" . Além disso é mesmo o meu filme preferido, é adorável vê-lo e eu não me canso de ver. E digo isto de coração 🙏🙏❤️

LMAOOO fr 💀☝
I think I will too. Need to see it again.
Can i have its link plz
The best adaptation ever made- I could watch it EVERY DAY!!
Same. It has bewitched me, body and soul, and I love--love--love it. 😊♥️
THIS Mr. Darcy bewitched me!
Matthew Mcfadyen: best cinematic Darcy of all time. Colin Firth is another wonderful actor, but Mcfadyen nailed the part perfectly. And he makes Olivier's Darcy look downright silly in comparison (which is quite a feat, considering Olivier's acting stature).
I fcking love this movie
Leche soja
Best 60 seconds of my life.
The proposal scene was so tense. Absolute masterpiece.
My favorite Jane Austen movie. Seen this multiple times.
I will never stop watching this movie I’m in love with it
This movie 🎬 is my favorite 😍 "over all" ❤
Just look to her and his eyes ...
I love this movie and actors!!!
ooo the hand flinch ❤
You have bewitched me, body and soul 😫😫
Can't leave out the potatoes 🤣
I grew up on Jane Austen novels, they gave me the such a great start in visualising times past with the costumes and atmosphere....and it is clear that the same struggles in life are still upon us today........classic love story and how the strength of love can change a person's mindset! The soundtrack for both the mini series and the 2005 film whilst very different from each other still conjure up beautifully the essence of Jane Austen's exceptional novel.
Argh! I love this film. It's rhythm, it's poetry. Nothing like chopping it to bits.
La vi mil veces y la volveria a ver otras mil veces mas❤❤❤❤❤❤
Time well spent.

Recently I am reading one of the novels of Jane Austen i.e. Pride and Prejudice...
It's so intense that it will made u fall in love with the characters especially Elizabeth and Darcy💞 I don't want to kill that suspense so I will be continued with my reading....having pictures of character in mind will make it more interesting for the readers of book
Try watching Lost in Austen. The confrontation between "Elizabeth" and Darcy's aunt? Chef's kiss. The BBC series version of Lydia is amazing. And Death Comes to Pemberly? That version of exploration of the wider culture and Elizabeth? Amazing. I have yet to see this version as I don't like the notion of sweat stained Elizabeth, but one day.
I hate the way Darcy says I love, love, love you!
Like this could have been delivered better 😂
This film gets me every time 🤣 going to have to go watch it again now
Eu já perdi as contas 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
영화 제목이 뭔가요?
@@user-cz9qf4pq7m Pride and Prejudice. This is the version on Netflix
Ich liebe diesen Film, er ist fantastisch und die Schauspieler grandios ausgesucht.
This movie has a hold on me like no other!
Best romantic movie ever ❤
I haven’t had a Mr Darcy in 26 years . A shame we didn’t work out he was very romantic and made a picnic basket for me and we dined on the side of a mountain then snuggled on a blanket and kissed when a light rain started . The most romantic memory I’ve always cherished even if I never find Mr Darcy again. Whenever I watch this movie and see her walking in the hills it reminds me of my Mr Darcy❤️Never lose your romantic and loving side you young ones❤️
My favorite Jane austen book and movie😭
“Your hands are cold”
Mr Collinsssss 😂😂😂😂 God I love him lol
I watched this movie about 50 or more times …. Love it
This is undeniably perfect.
Love this movie 🥰😋😋
The flex !!! 🥰
This movie is too good to be condensed to 60 seconds.
I was waiting for 'Mrs. Darcy' 😭😭
I love love this movie, movie...oh heck Jane Austin is the very best romance novelist.
She is a classy commoner poor on the outside but opulent on the inside a great movie indeed
She isn't a commoner, she's the daughter of an English Gentleman. Mr. Bennet is a well-educated landowner. The Bennet situation isn't that they're poor, the situation is that women couldn't inherit property. That's why Mrs. Bennet needed them married before Mr. Bennet passes away.
@@Aczie042 Well, women could inherit, but it was uncommon. In this particular case, Mr. Bennet had entered into a specific inheritance contract called "entailing". Basically, he and his dad agreed to a contract that said that the dad and Mr. Bennet would both technically only rent the property, and that when Mr. Bennet had a son, his son would inheret the property either to rent as well or possibly own outright. It was a way of ensuring the property wouldn't be devalued by one particular generation, but it was also a gamble that required having a son. Unfortunately, Mr. Bennet didn't have a son, and he had no power to change the entail contract, either, so the property was set to go to the next male heir, Mr. Collins. He could have still saved up money and left his daughters with decent livings when he passed on, but it's implied that he didn't because he didn't think it would be necessary. Later, when it was obvious they wouldn't have a son, was too late to attempt saving for five daughters. Kind of complicated but gives a lot of interesting context!
In the movie they tried to show the bennets somewhat Poor by having them wear very plain dresses, but having read the book, the bennets were actually far from poor. They were more like the upper middle class and had servants and such. The Bennett's relatives could have been said to be lower middle class however.
Darcy was just crazy unfathomable Rich. This movie steeres away from the book a bit, but i still like it. A cinematic masterpiece in itself.
@@bigsiskrishereThanks for explaining since I've always been a bit puzzled by this. So Mr Bennett doesn't own the property - I've always wondered why wouldn't he sell it and then somehow give the money to the daughters, but apparently he could not. But how about them adopting a son (or more than one in case of death..) Could an adopted son inherit the place?
Jesus Tom from succession idk why I never noticed that 😂😂
ES UNA DE LAS PELICULAS DE ROMANCE MAS HERMOSAS ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE THIS MOVIE SOOO MUCH!
Unbelievably accurate summary
She is brilliant

Ugh so prefect!
Hola tío
Amazing movie
me liking every comment here just goes to show how obsessed and in love I am with this adaptation
Yessss. Thank you for cutting the ending out! 🤣💗
What a talented actress!!! This is how all movies should look like!!?!
After being a fan of the movie for years I finally read the book, and I have to appreciate how accurate it is to sum up Mr. Collins’s character with the boiled potatoes comment 😂👏🏻
"I'm not" with sadness in her voice 😂
The very best P&P ever filmed ! No contest
No one even dared remake it after that 🤭🤭🤭
This one is SO good, however the 1995 miniseries does have a special place in my heart
there's P&P Zombies
Women oh women, always been argumentative, always been divine!❤😂
My favorite book and this movie version is my favorite ever!!!!
I hate that I had a Mr. Darcy type and miss him so much. I'm so sorry that we got into it bad I said things and he wrote a horrible letter to me (which he use my love of letters) and we walked away from each other but when I said I fell in love with him I meant it unlike him,I want to be with him. I'm heartbroken truly. I hope this crazy feeling will go away because I can't take it anymore since he is done. My heart hurts every night because of him.
My favotie one for many years!!!!!
I love this movie
When someone asks if I like something, now I respond with " Barely tolerable, I dare say." 🤭 bc I speak in Mr.Darcy.
He said, 'Perfectly tolerable'.
@@sakshamsanwaria7486Exactly so. It's "perfectly tolerable," including in the originally published work, if I remember correctly. People left and right quote it wrong all the time and it really gets me.
I love this movie 🥰😍🥰😍
En esta película los actores tuvieron unas escenas magníficas con un gran poder de actuación. 👌👏👏✌️👍
You kind of have to question the mental stability of someone who actually believes that a father would prefer a servant's son over his own son.
I love this movie❤
THE HAND!!!! *swoon*
Lydia was so goofy.
Hermosa, hermosa película! He visto decenas de veces el final 😍! Esa melodía! Él caminando hasta ella! Cómo la mira! Cómo le habla! No me canso de verla 🤭

Besides Pride and Prejudice, I loved Persuasion as my 2nd favorite Austen, then Sense and Sensibility in 3rd place. They have movie adaptations too.
