No, but the United States is arguably the most important economic partner to Vietnam, as most anything can be argued about. 😉

That's why Vietnam has not joined BRICS, despite being a close ally of Russia and India. Although they have extended invitations multiple times, Vietnam remains hesitant. The United States is crucial to Vietnam's economy, and Vietnam's leaders have always been very astute.

What a load of rubbish. China is the biggest by far Vietnam's biggest trading partner is *China*, with a total import and export value of $106.7 billion, making up 22.2% of the country's total imports and exports ¹. China is followed by other key trading partners, including:
    - *South Korea*: With a total trade value of $65.7 billion, accounting for 13.7% of Vietnam's total imports and exports ¹.
    - *United States*: With a total trade value of $60.3 billion, accounting for 12.6% of Vietnam's total imports and exports ¹.
    - *Japan*: With a total trade value of $37.8 billion, accounting for 7.9% of Vietnam's total imports and exports. USD$ are finished.

At the end of the day, it's all about money. Yet many Americans think it's freedom and democracy they are bringing to the world. If tomorrow they discover oil and gold on Titan, they will say Titan needs democracy..... When American say Greenland or Panama needs democracy and freedom, you know they are about to launch a coup or a war in that place.

Nestled within Vietnam's success is a sleeping Dragon, the pains and scars of America's war on Vietnam is not soon forgotten. Things are not always what they seem, the orient/asian alliance runs deeper than most western countries might imagine. Never count China out.

The pain of war and the scars between Vietnam and China are much deeper than those of America.Currently, China is still invading Vietnamese territory and always trying to smear Vietnam to gain benefits. The American war on Vietnam in the past was partly caused by the Chinese. Therefore, Vietnam will, at all costs, stand side by side with the Americans to push the Chinese out of the country. And on this point, Americans and Vietnamese share the same interests.
