  • This is a video I filmed shortly after the Ross Revenge was saved from the goodwin sands & taken into Dover. Ian Goddard, Bill Rollins & I travelled down from Clacton on a Saturday morning to have a look at the boat.

What a pitiful sight it then was, and all credit must go to the enthusiasts who have brought the Ross Revenge back to its current condition both by their hard work, foresight and financial support over the years.

Oh my god she was a wreck back then and to think people trusted in the ship not sinking is beyond me. All power to the team who has brought her back from nearness of the breakers yard.

My goodness this boat looks in a very poor state of health!

I was on the tug that towed her off the sands, and berthed her here. After the Eastern Arm customs check. Worked with her on the sands for 3 to 4 days.
