the PiT item system never really bothered me. I usually had enough money to buy 99 of each item whenever they became available. Plus i had 2 ulti-free badges by the time i faced princess shroob.
One Ulti free badge was enough for me since I somehow had the patience to always Kill every enemy in my way, I only used the items when they were starting to annoy me or boss battles.
I hated the carrot mini game too, but I thought the one where you had make bowser sneeze was way worse because the controls were really unresponsive, if you miss in the second phase you have really small openings which are hard to get through with the weird controls, and you have to do it 3 freaking times
GamePlayWin That was the one I hated the most. But even then, that was nothing compared to Kuzzle's puzzles. Beating it was simple enough, but trying to 100%? I'm not even sure it was physically possible to do.
It sort of hurt my feelings when you said everyone knows that Partners In Time is the worst of the four, because Partners In Time is my FAVORITE of the four.
To be fair, I can understand and honestly I never had a problem with the big amounts of HP. If you fight every enemy in the game instead of lazily skipping large amounts of them, the HP won't be much of a problem and you can use badges.
My thoughts: 10. I wasn't a fan of the minigames in BIS period. 9. The problem I had with this area is how much I got lost. 8. Agreed. But the area is Dreamy Driftwood Shore, not Dreamy Wakeport. 7. I never really liked the limited number of turns bosses in any of the games. I personally think the worst offender is the Fawful Express. 3. Yeah, this kinda gets on my nerves too. 2. I actually never had a problem with this one. Since I have the EU version, the enemy's health is mostly much lower, especially with most of the later bosses. 1. It might be my favourite game in the sub-series, but this cannot be ignored, this is one of its biggest problems and I agree.
Partners in time I thought was good...but I'll admit it's actually one of the harder games out of the 4. And the only way I beat it when I was a kid was cheats.

I'm surprised that the Fawful Express wasn't on here. It's the only reason I have yet to finish BIS, and it gives a lot of other players grief as well. Freaking time limit bosses...
Sure, it may be your list and all, but Gut Check really wasn't that big a deal for me personally. I don't remember having that much trouble with it at all. No, I am completely stuck at the Fawful Express. It's gotten to the point where I've had less trouble with Daredevil Bouldergeist and Cackletta's Soul. Combined.
My tactic for the ''Hill with eyes'' is pretty simple: Use Flame, but only 1 little blow for minimum dammage, so the train keeps getting dammaged. (Kinda like Toxic/Will-O-Wisp + Protect Stalling in Pokémon.)

I didn't think the item specials in partners was bad. The game throws so many at you. Also, I don't get why anyone has a hard time with Gut Check. I thought it was the easiest ones of the mini games BIS offered.
Hi there as someone who got stuck that minigame I kinda thought it was hard but I don't know haven't played the mini game for a while so Maybe it's easy.
I'm going to be honest....am I the only one who DOESN'T hate the Special Attack system. Maybe it's just me using most of my money and items and only using them for bosses and later enemies, but I never had a problem with them.
***** I never found this to be a problem either. Mainly because I beat every enemy on screen and always had a bunch of items. I also never noticed the high enemy hp. It was my first game in the trilogy and I thought that it was a perfectly normal enemy difficulty.
All I did was defeat plenty of enemies and collect coins from blocks. Then spend a few for items and bros. items and spend the rest on getting better equipment
Am I the ONLY one who beat Partners in time without much difficulty AND liked it's special attack system? The only problems I had with it was backtracking to that thwomp mini game to get some extra beans and poison stacking on princess shroob. The only time I got a game over was the saucer battle. Also the game gives you plenty of special items. I was level 30 with all characters at the end. The only other game I beat out of them was superstar saga. I'm near the end in bowsers inside story and was halfway through paper jam when it got randomly corrupted and can't be fixed.

The fights weren’t really hard, just long, by the time I finished the boulder I had like 4 total bros attacks left, and I had fought most enemies on the path, so I wasn’t under leveled

John Joubran Eh, Joke's End had music that complimented it's creepy/demented style of dungeon. Personally, I was more annoyed at how much back tracking you had to do in Gwarhar Lagoon. Made things extremely and unnecessarily complex, especially when you don't remember which path you had already gone down. At least Joke's End was pretty straight forward (albeit very long).
Really?The time bombs?You'd have to be severely under-leveled to ever be pressured by them,since the Koopalings are super easy and should normally only take 3 or 4 turns.The only reason you should be under-leveled is when you play the game like a Pacifist Route in Undertale.
Actually, ( idk if I'm late ) he said it was the most casual-players friendly of the four. Since it was new, he probably didn't just realize that more people would go in for the new gen. Since players probably wouldn't know how to play, it was also the most new-player friendly as well.
Majin K antasma was really the only bad thing about it. I had fought all the enemies I saw and did all the side quest to get all the best gear and I still couldn't beat antasma with perfect play on one attempt.
Bowser's Inside Story doesn't have that many forced tutorial battles. More than half of the ones that are forced present you with the option to skip the whole thing.
Oi, Partner's in Time was great. The mechanics were pretty great, the bosses and the overall story was awesome. Storywise I thought it was better than Dream Team. Could continue but it was my second favorite (SSS always is the first lol) but this video is really old that just randomly popped into my recommendations. Plus you're entitled to have an opinion even if I don't agree.
Rosalina & Luma partness in time is my 3rd favorite out of all of the MaL games. Bowsers inside story is my favorite and the 3ds remake of superstar sega is number 2. Im so hyped for the bis remake
One thing I didn't like was on mt pajamaja when you drank the fountain for the 1st time, it took 2 minutes with the nightmare fuel dialogue and scared me half to death when it showed me the game over screen. It was kind of funny the first play through but it wastes So much time on replays.

Spike Blop(x2)- Hammer Tutorial 6) Bowser Vs. Midbus- Bowser Battle Tutorial 7) Bowser Vs. Broggy- Bowser Fire Tutorial 8) Bowser Vs. Treevil(x2)- Goomba Storm Tutorial 9) Giant Bowser Vs. Giant Bowser's Castle All of these involve somebody teaching you new battle controls. This greatly surpasses Dream Team's 5.
No, you can actually skip those tutorials. Also these are all in the beginning of the game. In dream team, you have a tutorial for EVERY SINGLE NEW LUIGINARY FUNCTION, a tutorial for every over world mini game, a tutorial for bro battles in the beginning, a tutorial for giant luigi battles, a tutorial for dream battles, and did I mention YOU CANT SKIP ANY OF THOSE and they happen the entire game.

You do understand that there are people who haven't played the previous games right? I don't think any M and L game other than Dream Team can be found new in stores, so it would be logical to start with that game if you're planning on playing the series. And that's not even mentioning the fact that SS is a GBA game.
Lots of people have not played previous games in the series. Especialy kids. Alphadream qanted to make the games accesable towards those who never played the games. Problem is, they don't give yoi a choice if you want a tutorial or not. Althought... you'd be supriced by how many people did not know that, when you level up, you can choose which stat you can increase. Superstar Saga and Partners In Time did not gove you a tutorial on leveling up, and so there were A LOT of people who only leveled up HP. Just pointing out that THAT specific tutorial is nessesary. Tutorial for a Rank Up is also nice. Without it, you might not relize how importhnat a rank up reward choice is, aince there are only 4 rank ups per bro in the game. There are plenty of tutorials thpught, that are ok for a beginner, but really not needed for a M&L veteran, so there should be an option to scip them
Im A Cat Meow so true. In Dream Team, they have a guide, so the tutorials are avaible at any time. So you can do a tutorial if you forget how to do something, or can't figure it out on your own. If the tutorials are avaible at any time, there's no reason to force them on you
If there's one thing I truly hated in PiT, was the battle against the Shroob Mothership. It was tedious and the only thing that prevented me from beating the game. Also, I could barely dodge Elder Princess Shroob's second form's tentacle swing attack. Also, how come the minecart game from Superstar Saga isn't here? I HATED that part. Everytime you reached the end without getting a certain amount of diamonds, you had to start all over again. I only played Superstar Saga and Partners in Time, by the way.
Im at right before elder shrooboid in my pit file, and superstar sagas cart thing isnt that bad for me actually because you only need to do it one or two times
In my opinion PiT is the best out of the four, and Superstar Saga, just because PiT created many memorable characters for me, while Superstar Saga just wasn´t that memorable of a game and frankly I did not understand sh*t about its plot. Plus, the Shroobs and Toadbert have appeared in BiS, Kylie Koopa appeared in Dream Team, and Petey Piranha was in there! But then again, all of this is just an opinion. :-p
Valentin Bugnon The story/characters are good (second to BiS, in my opinion), but I did not enjoy the fights nearly as much as any of the other games. And I wasn't a big fan of the beans or baby mechanics
Jeremy Hoffman Well anyways I just watch the story more than the gameplay mechanics, so maybe that´s why I don´t care about the baby mechanics or the fact that you don´t have BP in this game. That´s how I play though, so my opinion should differ from most other opinions, and I just like PiT because it was my first Mario and Luigi game and the one I got more attached to. My sentiments exactly. Let me run this situation by all the people who call out PiT as the worst in the series: ever be in a boss fight and you want to use a Bros Attack but you realize you're out of BP and have to waste a turn to restore it? Bros Items are a convenience in that game.
tutorial is the best in Paper Jam, no tutorial in the first battle but just tell you "you can see the guide to learn", dodging is still here, and when PM came, starlow just tell you you can see below to learn how it basically work and demo & practise are always available, and tell about expert challenges, it is so little that it makes me feel a bit strange about tutorials in the game...
+Dafawfulizer a major annoying thing that i think should have been on the list is the lack of three save files, they only had them for superstar saga. i use the first file, then with my improved knowledge and wanting to rexperience the game i use the second to improve my time/performance. then i might want to start from scratch after a while of not playing but i dont want to erase my file from my best time or my original playthrough. lack of a third save has been a problem for me at least since pit.

13:46 There's plenty of badges that provide the player with unlimited Bros. Items (i.e. the count never decreases), and you also find plenty in the field or dropped from enemies, especially if you've got the confusingly-descriptive Treasure Badge.
@@platinumskulls4490 Yeah Dreamy bowser is my least favorite final boss in the series, despite dream team being one of my favorite games in the series. The stupid healing move ruins the fight. Not even kidding, but one of the times when I fought him he used it three times in a row right after I got rid of the enemies. If I remember correctly it took me like 45 minutes to beat him back then, because of him constantly spamming the healing move. The fight is just too luck based to be fun in the slightest.
The worst thing about beating cackletta’s soul with 1hp is that if you die at any point then you have to fight bowletta again and get blown up by the time bomb
Seadric's relatives weren't so bad. Sure, I didn't really care for the levels leading up to them, but I found their talking ever so delightfully awkward. It was just a treat. The youngest of them talking about his odd little anime was baffling. The girl getting the stuck-up Dreambert to say she's beautiful, much to his chagrin. The comedian giving me a heart-attack with his painful puns. It was all just so silly, so, _magically delicious_, that I couldn't keep a straight face.
Simon Barr I agree, it was actually the levels that annoyed me. The character dialogues dragged on for too long, but as a whole, I was ok with it. Especially since they were pretty entertaining.
There's a thing called a script. Otherwise, good video. I must say that you really glossed over the difficulty of the final boss in SSS, though. Also, the item system in PIT really wasn't that bad.
Ehh, Superstar Saga is the weakest link. PiT had a few flaws, but it is still one of the most fun due to the 4 playable character SMACKDOWN and the amazing plot. Also QUEEN SHROOB is easily my favorite RPG Final boss, OVER EVEN SANS. Superstar actually was the only one to bore me so.much that I never beat it, only got about 1/3 of the way through.
I can relate with the unskippable cutscenes. I was stuck on the dreamy bowser giant Luigi battle in dream team for almost a year because every time I died I had to rewatch one of the longest cut scenes in the game over and over again because in hard mode you can't retry

I'm so glad you put Dream Team tutorials as number one. I picked up the game a year ago and after over two hours of slow intro and tutorials, I quit and didn't pick it up again until recently.
If you thought the tutorials or tedious will the fight against beef cloud later will make you want to rip your hair out he heals himself in real time so you have to just keep spamming attacks as fast as you can so you can beat him and to make matters worse he constantly spams dialogue bragging about his HP this fight may be easy but holy crap is it annoying

Dude the bros items in Partners in time aren't that bad. I'd like to see you figure out how to work out 4 characters using bros attack with Sp to spend for each of them and how to make them work when the big bro goes down and the baby has to take over.
One of my biggest rage moments was the sneeze minigame in bowsers inside story. It was mainly the last part, when there were the most blue pollen bits. I died so much during that. Also, during the breaks between events with the Junker intro, it reminded me of another rage moment: the Junker boss battle. But, I had 2 retry clocks while getting ready for the battle, so I got to retry. But, whenever it felt like I was getting remotely close, Luigi would keep getting sucked into a garbage can. And, like you said, I kept having to watch the cutscene. It was at its peak during the Memory bros boss fight. IT TOOK ME A SOLID WEEK TO GET PAST THAT ONE!
Tbh I never had a issue with Partners in time hp and bros attacks because thanks to beans and the fact that since it is a rpg where unless you over spend you never have to worry about spending too much on bros attacks, or not being able to get enough, but something that bothers me more than even shrowser is the main gimmick of Bowser’s Inside story, you are constantly forced to switch between playing the bros inside bowser and bowser himself to help each other progress, which isn’t a problem until you realize that tons of areas when you first reach them lock you in and force the bros to take control, this isn’t too bad for after the blooper statue fight since you need fire and there is not much you can do there yet, but when you reach bowser’s castle for the first time which is exciting you basically realize that your only option is to progress the story, fight midbus which is cool, and then be forced to have bowser be in another locked situation, although both sides learn new abilities it feels very imbalance, like the bros get non stop bros attacks throughout the game, yet it is not until way later where you get iconic and necessary moves like the drill spin, not only that but all the inside bowser sections are 2D meaning they are really boring and sometimes annoying, unlike in Dream team where Luiginary puzzles and abilities combined with the fact that you always get a good amount of outside play means that is fun, but since bowser’s body only has gimmick that could work outside better like the bouncy pads which make the fire guys annoying, and ghost scanner which is a cool idea but is held back from being so simple, It means that I just wanna play as bowser, but only get to fight one or 2 enemy types before being put in either a lose scenario, or I have to play a minigame, both forcing me to play the bros in a way that in my opinion, makes it way less fun to explore for the first half of the game!
I absolutly LOVED the fact that Special attacks are item that you need to buy in PiT, it's what made me love the game so much and part of why it's my favorite game in the serie.
Yeah, the tutorial battles. I pretty much spent my first day with tutorials, the day I got Dream Team. I took 60 hours in the next 8 days to beat it, but the first hour or 2 were tutorials, with others mixed in there.
Special mention that IMO would be #1 in my list, the whole translucent labyrinth in BIS. The whole segment is just a nightmare, you can either choose to see where the ground is or where Mario and Luigi are, there are 25 or so beans hidden in the stage with NO WAY of seeing the ones behind the translucent wall, there are so many platform sections where if you fail even once, you fall and have to do the whole part all over again. Then there's the star pieces, where you need certain star piece combos to enter different parts of the stage and the hint for what combo you'll need is a the END of a level, so if you don't have that exact same combo with you then you have to do the other parts of the levels to open a door that just allows you to obtain ANOTHER star piece. Then there's the boss, the whole level is built around following this frigging caterpillar trough the whole stage, and when you actually confront it, the battle is annoying as hell. The boss just has a bar that fills up every time you attack it, and when it's full, the boss changes appearance and attacks. The whole moveset of the boss is just impossible to deal with, the attacks have really bad timing and go on for way more than they should and they also do stupid amounts of damage, while you also have to avoid the damn little white enemies that come in groups of 3. Overall the most frustrating part of BIS in my opinion.

Omg thank you for talking about that stupid giga carrot. I could pass it for years so I had to get my cousin to do it for me WHILE I was telling her where the enzymes were. I can't call it a mini game when you need two people need to complete it together. But I do agree with you, once I played it again recently it wasn't that bad, just incredibly frustrating at first.

Hi there as someone who got stuck that minigame I kinda thought it was hard but I don't know haven't played the mini game for a while so Maybe it's easy.
I'm going to be honest....am I the only one who DOESN'T hate the Special Attack system. Maybe it's just me using most of my money and items and only using them for bosses and later enemies, but I never had a problem with them.
***** I never found this to be a problem either. Mainly because I beat every enemy on screen and always had a bunch of items. I also never noticed the high enemy hp. It was my first game in the trilogy and I thought that it was a perfectly normal enemy difficulty.

Am I the ONLY one who beat Partners in time without much difficulty AND liked it's special attack system? The only problems I had with it was backtracking to that thwomp mini game to get some extra beans and poison stacking on princess shroob. The only time I got a game over was the saucer battle. Also the game gives you plenty of special items. I was level 30 with all characters at the end. The only other game I beat out of them was superstar saga. I'm near the end in bowsers inside story and was halfway through paper jam when it got randomly corrupted and can't be fixed.

The fights weren’t really hard, just long, by the time I finished the boulder I had like 4 total bros attacks left, and I had fought most enemies on the path, so I wasn’t under leveled

John Joubran Eh, Joke's End had music that complimented it's creepy/demented style of dungeon. Personally, I was more annoyed at how much back tracking you had to do in Gwarhar Lagoon. Made things extremely and unnecessarily complex, especially when you don't remember which path you had already gone down. At least Joke's End was pretty straight forward (albeit very long).

Actually, ( idk if I'm late ) he said it was the most casual-players friendly of the four. Since it was new, he probably didn't just realize that more people would go in for the new gen. Since players probably wouldn't know how to play, it was also the most new-player friendly as well.

Majin K antasma was really the only bad thing about it. I had fought all the enemies I saw and did all the side quest to get all the best gear and I still couldn't beat antasma with perfect play on one attempt.
Bowser's Inside Story doesn't have that many forced tutorial battles. More than half of the ones that are forced present you with the option to skip the whole thing.
Oi, Partner's in Time was great. The mechanics were pretty great, the bosses and the overall story was awesome. Storywise I thought it was better than Dream Team. Could continue but it was my second favorite (SSS always is the first lol) but this video is really old that just randomly popped into my recommendations. Plus you're entitled to have an opinion even if I don't agree.

Rosalina & Luma partness in time is my 3rd favorite out of all of the MaL games. Bowsers inside story is my favorite and the 3ds remake of superstar sega is number 2. Im so hyped for the bis remake

One thing I didn't like was on mt pajamaja when you drank the fountain for the 1st time, it took 2 minutes with the nightmare fuel dialogue and scared me half to death when it showed me the game over screen. It was kind of funny the first play through but it wastes So much time on replays.

6) Bowser Vs. Midbus- Bowser Battle Tutorial
7) Bowser Vs. Broggy- Bowser Fire Tutorial

All of these involve somebody teaching you new battle controls. This greatly surpasses Dream Team's 5.
No, you can actually skip those tutorials. Also these are all in the beginning of the game. In dream team, you have a tutorial for EVERY SINGLE NEW LUIGINARY FUNCTION, a tutorial for every over world mini game, a tutorial for bro battles in the beginning, a tutorial for giant luigi battles, a tutorial for dream battles, and did I mention YOU CANT SKIP ANY OF THOSE and they happen the entire game.

You do understand that there are people who haven't played the previous games right? I don't think any M and L game other than Dream Team can be found new in stores, so it would be logical to start with that game if you're planning on playing the series. And that's not even mentioning the fact that SS is a GBA game.
Lots of people have not played previous games in the series. Especialy kids. Alphadream qanted to make the games accesable towards those who never played the games. Problem is, they don't give yoi a choice if you want a tutorial or not.
Althought... you'd be supriced by how many people did not know that, when you level up, you can choose which stat you can increase. Superstar Saga and Partners In Time did not gove you a tutorial on leveling up, and so there were A LOT of people who only leveled up HP. Just pointing out that THAT specific tutorial is nessesary.
Tutorial for a Rank Up is also nice. Without it, you might not relize how importhnat a rank up reward choice is, aince there are only 4 rank ups per bro in the game.
There are plenty of tutorials thpught, that are ok for a beginner, but really not needed for a M&L veteran, so there should be an option to scip them

There is a way to prevent Cackletta's soul from attacking first. You need to have speed above 120.
If there's one thing I truly hated in PiT, was the battle against the Shroob Mothership. It was tedious and the only thing that prevented me from beating the game.
Also, I could barely dodge Elder Princess Shroob's second form's tentacle swing attack.
Also, how come the minecart game from Superstar Saga isn't here? I HATED that part. Everytime you reached the end without getting a certain amount of diamonds, you had to start all over again.

In my opinion PiT is the best out of the four, and Superstar Saga, just because PiT created many memorable characters for me, while Superstar Saga just wasn´t that memorable of a game and frankly I did not understand sh*t about its plot. Plus, the Shroobs and Toadbert have appeared in BiS, Kylie Koopa appeared in Dream Team, and Petey Piranha was in there! But then again, all of this is just an opinion. :-p

That´s how I play though, so my opinion should differ from most other opinions, and I just like PiT because it was my first Mario and Luigi game and the one I got more attached to. tutorial is the best in Paper Jam, no tutorial in the first battle but just tell you "you can see the guide to learn", dodging is still here, and when PM came, starlow just tell you you can see below to learn how it basically work and demo & practise are always available, and tell about expert challenges, it is so little that it makes me feel a bit strange about tutorials in the game...

+Dafawfulizer a major annoying thing that i think should have been on the list is the lack of three save files, they only had them for superstar saga. i use the first file, then with my improved knowledge and wanting to rexperience the game i use the second to improve my time/performance. then i might want to start from scratch after a while of not playing but i dont want to erase my file from my best time or my original playthrough. lack of a third save has been a problem for me at least since pit.

There's plenty of badges that provide the player with unlimited Bros. Items (i.e. the count never decreases), and you also find plenty in the field or dropped from enemies, especially if you've got the confusingly-descriptive Treasure Badge.
I think that cackletta's soul isn't even hard. Dreamy bowser is way harder in my opinion.

@@platinumskulls4490 Yeah Dreamy bowser is my least favorite final boss in the series, despite dream team being one of my favorite games in the series. The stupid healing move ruins the fight. Not even kidding, but one of the times when I fought him he used it three times in a row right after I got rid of the enemies. If I remember correctly it took me like 45 minutes to beat him back then, because of him constantly spamming the healing move. The fight is just too luck based to be fun in the slightest.

Ehh, Superstar Saga is the weakest link. PiT had a few flaws, but it is still one of the most fun due to the 4 playable character SMACKDOWN and the amazing plot. Also QUEEN SHROOB is easily my favorite RPG Final boss, OVER EVEN SANS. Superstar actually was the only one to bore me so.much that I never beat it, only got about 1/3 of the way through.
What about Deus from Xenogears and Zanza from Xenoblade?

I can relate with the unskippable cutscenes. I was stuck on the dreamy bowser giant Luigi battle in dream team for almost a year because every time I died I had to rewatch one of the longest cut scenes in the game over and over again because in hard mode you can't retry

I'm so glad you put Dream Team tutorials as number one. I picked up the game a year ago and after over two hours of slow intro and tutorials, I quit and didn't pick it up again until recently.
If you thought the tutorials or tedious will the fight against beef cloud later will make you want to rip your hair out he heals himself in real time so you have to just keep spamming attacks as fast as you can so you can beat him and to make matters worse he constantly spams dialogue bragging about his HP this fight may be easy but holy crap is it annoying
Just hit him with regular attacks when he's sleeping and nail him with Luiginary attacks when he's awake.
Oooooh I hated Gut Check...I haven't finished BiS since today, as my sanity was ripped out as a child XD

Dude the bros items in Partners in time aren't that bad. I'd like to see you figure out how to work out 4 characters using bros attack with Sp to spend for each of them and how to make them work when the big bro goes down and the baby has to take over.

Just when I thought I couldn't hate Peach more.
One of my biggest rage moments was the sneeze minigame in bowsers inside story. It was mainly the last part, when there were the most blue pollen bits. I died so much during that.
Also, during the breaks between events with the Junker intro, it reminded me of another rage moment: the Junker boss battle. But, I had 2 retry clocks while getting ready for the battle, so I got to retry. But, whenever it felt like I was getting remotely close, Luigi would keep getting sucked into a garbage can. And, like you said, I kept having to watch the cutscene. It was at its peak during the Memory bros boss fight. IT TOOK ME A SOLID WEEK TO GET PAST THAT ONE!

Tbh I never had a issue with Partners in time hp and bros attacks because thanks to beans and the fact that since it is a rpg where unless you over spend you never have to worry about spending too much on bros attacks, or not being able to get enough, but something that bothers me more than even shrowser is the main gimmick of Bowser’s Inside story, you are constantly forced to switch between playing the bros inside bowser and bowser himself to help each other progress, which isn’t a problem until you realize that tons of areas when you first reach them lock you in and force the bros to take control, this isn’t too bad for after the blooper statue fight since you need fire and there is not much you can do there yet, but when you reach bowser’s castle for the first time which is exciting you basically realize that your only option is to progress the story, fight midbus which is cool, and then be forced to have bowser be in another locked situation, although both sides learn new abilities it feels very imbalance, like the bros get non stop bros attacks throughout the game, yet it is not until way later where you get iconic and necessary moves like the drill spin, not only that but all the inside bowser sections are 2D meaning they are really boring and sometimes annoying, unlike in Dream team where Luiginary puzzles and abilities combined with the fact that you always get a good amount of outside play means that is fun, but since bowser’s body only has gimmick that could work outside better like the bouncy pads which make the fire guys annoying, and ghost scanner which is a cool idea but is held back from being so simple, It means that I just wanna play as bowser, but only get to fight one or 2 enemy types before being put in either a lose scenario, or I have to play a minigame, both forcing me to play the bros in a way that in my opinion, makes it way less fun to explore for the first half of the game!
to be fair I liked the twist in superstar saga final boss it made it kind of more tense for a moment
It’s neat the first time or if you have a high enough speed stat but every other time it’s tedious
I absolutly LOVED the fact that Special attacks are item that you need to buy in PiT, it's what made me love the game so much and part of why it's my favorite game in the serie.

I pretty much spent my first day with tutorials, the day I got Dream Team.
I took 60 hours in the next 8 days to beat it, but the first hour or 2 were tutorials, with others mixed in there.
12:52 Just wear the #1 Trousers. They make you always get the first attack in any battle, INCLUDING the cacklettas soul battle
Special mention that IMO would be #1 in my list, the whole translucent labyrinth in BIS.
The whole segment is just a nightmare, you can either choose to see where the ground is or where Mario and Luigi are, there are 25 or so beans hidden in the stage with NO WAY of seeing the ones behind the translucent wall, there are so many platform sections where if you fail even once, you fall and have to do the whole part all over again.
Then there's the star pieces, where you need certain star piece combos to enter different parts of the stage and the hint for what combo you'll need is a the END of a level, so if you don't have that exact same combo with you then you have to do the other parts of the levels to open a door that just allows you to obtain ANOTHER star piece.
Then there's the boss, the whole level is built around following this frigging caterpillar trough the whole stage, and when you actually confront it, the battle is annoying as hell. The boss just has a bar that fills up every time you attack it, and when it's full, the boss changes appearance and attacks. The whole moveset of the boss is just impossible to deal with, the attacks have really bad timing and go on for way more than they should and they also do stupid amounts of damage, while you also have to avoid the damn little white enemies that come in groups of 3.
Overall the most frustrating part of BIS in my opinion.

Omg thank you for talking about that stupid giga carrot. I could pass it for years so I had to get my cousin to do it for me WHILE I was telling her where the enzymes were. I can't call it a mini game when you need two people need to complete it together. But I do agree with you, once I played it again recently it wasn't that bad, just incredibly frustrating at first.

At one point in time, I would've suggested the Lumbar Nook, but I recently learned that there's a button combination to rapidly speed it up
