Comments are made by bots. 30 seconds into the video there is a lie. This is an online casino, not a "game" or, even funnier, a "dark fantasy RPG". Developers don't care about your opinion, they even hosted meetings where they told people how to get as much money from a user as possible. Their target auidience are gambling people, **the game is made to be advertised, not played**. "Gameplay" is boring, you literally do nothing. Items have a chance to fail upgrading (which increases with the item's level), which makes you either play until you get gray hair or pay. Good games don't require auto-battle or multi-battle. Also good luck with getting enough energy to farm an item with 0.001 drop chance. Heroes are just reskins. I can't tell you everything in a youtube comment, PLEASE watch some honest reviews. This game isn't worth neither your TIME nor MONEY. This game is dangerous you if you have a gambling addiction.
I appreciate your perspective and understand your concerns about the game's mechanics and monetization strategies. It's important for players to be aware of how a game operates, especially regarding in-game purchases and the potential for frustration. I encourage everyone to do thorough research and consider their own preferences and limits when engaging with any game. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, and I hope future content can offer more balanced views to consider.
Your ultra-negative take on RAID Shadow Legends, highlighting its repetitive gameplay and monetization strategies, contrasts sharply with the positive aspects mentioned earlier. While expressing disappointment, the review serves as a cautionary perspective for potential players, encouraging them to consider both sides before diving in.
280 days in.. This game is garbage. Addictive gotcha tactics. CONSTANT ads. Every update dilutes the game with copy paste "new features" that redefine grinding that even the lower levels of MTAs DO NOT GET YOU THROUGH THE GRIND. Too many shards which seem to be their go to update feature. Arena and tag arena matchmaking is a joke. You will CONSTANTLY find 1 or 2 teams for a good fight and the rest can kill you on their first turn. Everything is the same. Fight a team or a boss or both. 10 different sections ALL THE SAME. You have to pay silver to take an item off your character and put it in your inventory. At higher levels you are looking at 1 million silver just to remove items from ONE character. Probably the WORST feature for new players as they collect better gear along the way but can't afford to remove items..... The MTAs are STUPID expensive. This is 100% a game for whales. This game is 100% pay to win. Oh you can FTP. Better block out 8 to 10 hours a day. AUTOPLAY is a feature and reward. Typical grider game. Pay us more money so you don't have to play our game as much..... Once you spend money you can't stop as progression stops with it. Getting to level 30 is fun. After that it's pay a ton of money or grind for hours on end. The 10 and 20 dollar MTAs bought here and there WON'T help much. The game just scales with you. Getting characters is a pay to win build if ever I saw one. You will get so much useless trash with all the shards. 99% of the time you will get the lowest level characters from single shard pulls. Shard events are pointless unless you stock up or buy shards. One or two pulls will ALWAYS give you garbage (food). Upgrading items past level 12 SUCKS! You could spend a million silver and only go up a single level. There are 16 levels. Once you past 12 a bad roll upgrading could leave you broke with nothing for your money. Slot machine mechanics. The AI will become invincible all of a sudden. You will just lose at everything then back to normal. Game looks good. Building teams and pairing weapons can be fun but it's just too expensive to swap items around trying to tune your teams. They do have a few days now and again that allow you to remove items for free for a few days. Gee thanks. They won't charge me to remove items I already own. How nice of them. Better hope you have nothing to do when those events start. It takes HOURS to rebuild your champions. Took me a while to realise this game wasn't relaxing at all. There is no I'm just gonna kick back and play so raid for a while. One bad roll and all your money is gone or you can't win anything because reasons or you are out of energy and gems. Go do something else you can't play our game right now. Once the newness wears off the game goes downhill fast. It's just the same fighting over and over and over. Clan rewards are complete garbage unless you clan plays the top tiers. I played for a long while to give the game a proper review. If you don't plan on being a whale this game isn't for you. The high turnover rate is why you see so many ads. The game just never got any better with each update. Fun for a while but avoiding this garbage game is a better choice.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your detailed thoughts, and I'm genuinely sorry to hear that your experience with the game has been so disheartening. It sounds like the combination of high costs, repetitive gameplay, and a steep grind has significantly impacted your enjoyment and perspective on the game. The issues you've raised-particularly about the aggressive monetization strategies and the shallow updates-are concerns that many players echo, suggesting that these are not isolated frustrations. Your point about the game being geared towards "whales" (players who spend a lot of money) is a critical one, as it touches on the broader debate about fairness and accessibility in gaming. Games should offer a level playing field, or at least a more enjoyable experience without requiring huge financial investments from players. The fact that you mentioned having to block out 8 to 10 hours a day to make any real progress without paying is particularly telling about the game's demand on your time and resources. The mechanics of removing items from characters being so costly, along with the high randomness of shard pulls giving mostly low-level characters, adds another layer of frustration that seems to unnecessarily penalize players, especially newer ones who are still trying to build up their resources. This setup, where progression feels gated behind a paywall or excessive grind, can definitely detract from the overall gaming experience, turning what should be a fun activity into a tedious or stressful endeavor. Moreover, the mention of the game's aesthetics and the potential for team building and strategic gameplay shows that there are elements within the game that you appreciate, which makes the other issues even more disappointing. It’s clear that the game has potential, which is overshadowed by monetization strategies. It's valuable that you shared your experience so openly. Reviews like yours can help potential players make informed decisions and also signal to game developers the areas where improvements are crucial for retaining the player base. Balancing monetization with player satisfaction is tricky, but it's essential for the longevity of any game. Hopefully, your feedback, along with that of others who feel similarly, might lead to positive changes in future updates.
The games continuous improvement and the communitys growth are testament to its enduring appeal. Your comprehensive review, combined with the starter boost codes, make a compelling case for both new players and those thinking of returning.
As someone who has played raid for a year and a half I have to say it’s not holding up very well 2017 2018 to 19 yeah pretty decent but now that we are in 2024 It feels like a 2015 game. It wants you to pay money and it just doesn’t hold up as where was it? Did they need to change the game and at least put something into it instead of just events? We need actual changes to the game, make the graphics better.
It sounds like you've seen a lot of changes in Raid over the years. It's frustrating when a game doesn't evolve as expected. Sharing your feedback with the developers might help guide future updates.
