I learned my lesson in this game the other day, second day playing it. I ran past a hedge without peaking and checking for enemies or being cautious, typical COD move. This are great tips thank you! I’m new to the game and it definitely comes with a learning curve, I’m just glad my friends and I have found a game to enjoy for hours together.
Learned something interesting today… there was a wall with a little metal bucket on top of it… I’m taking fire from multiple enemies across the field from me… I take a bullet and need to bandage, but for some reason, sometimes it won’t let me bandage in prone position and will only work in crouch… so it was happening right then and I tried to put cover between us but the enemies could see my head so they’re still trying to get me… I put my head behind the bucket and I’m hearing all these pings as I heal… perfect bullet trajectory in this game, but can’t penetrate 1/16” thick tin buckets. 😂 it ended up being a great peak too, that bucket!

A squad leader shouldn't have to put up with cluttered coms. However it is the SL's responsibility to manage the Chaos and reduce the clutter mute when necessary.
A little not to the good advice that you must always assume there is another enemy around. Even if there was nobody else around, you must assume that the enemy has communicated your location to the rest of the team.
Played Beer Sausage server last night with 2 mates and we had a blast with a Squad leader. American tobacco chewing dude Nano would be jealous of. We sticked together and we got it done... for 3 games straight we stuck together and we got everything done. Great times mate. This is why we play this ❤
Appreciate the content. I’m not too worried about it but I am buying a PS5 only for HLL for now. Wanted go ask your experience with the aim bot’s, map hacks etc. if it’s been a problem ? I think what you read online is worse than it is.
On PS5, the real problem is the lack of aim assist. Even when you learn to find the enemy first and not get shot, you will still die from being unable to aim precisely. But no hackers on PS5, at least as far as I know.
Great tutorial video Terry :) Now we just need more of these Free To Play Weekend noobs to watch these vids and to actually buy into these tactics and philosophies ;)
Great tips! Really! Especially the standing still part. So true. I have to say though that i pretty much gave up on the slow and wait method. Why? Because I have terrible aim. It doesn't matter if I see them 30, 50, or 100m away. They will get me even if I tried to fire first. So I run and if I get to the other side I know there is a good chance not many enemies are around :-)
On your first advice i definitely agree but ive had loads of success recently running support with a smg rushing enemy trenches and close quarter environments. I just cant seem to rally allies to throw grenades and stop the enemy from pushing open flanks.
A lot of people miss huge things about this game in the name of kills. Like you get no points for kills really. holding position is where it's at. doing thins that your class is supposed to do. even killing garrisons gets you nest to nothing. this is why I laugh at gun bunnies. and out score them at the end of the game.
With Sound, Visual and Map you can identify enemy garry with scary effectivness i often found people just passing by enemy garry and dont even flinch at it, because they never looked at the map and play without headphones. but those are more like a CoD players which often quit very quickly the issue is even with Squad players, HLL isnt Squad, its arcady. I really hate enountering players which are tryharding the whole approach, slowering their squad or even a whole team by trying to flank absolute garbage positions where one enemy was spotted or literally ordering the rest of the team to stop what they doing and help them with whatever task they created for themselves. Everytime i see such a bunch of players, they are way behind, on foot, trying to "flank" position on the other side of the map where some squadlead saw a truck passing 4minutes ago instead of trying to flank the point or help with defense
12:45 What if you're an engineer fortifying an objective away from the fighting? What if you're an AT guy trying to flank a tank? Surely there's some exceptions
@@jantzenvest2695 of course, but I've also lost count of the amount of times our objective just gets pounded by a tank stationary behind a hedgerow 2 fields away

Hi there. I am interested in trying this game on console. For various reasons I won't be able to use a headset, or at least speak using a mic. Is it still possible to do well without this? Is there any option of text commands bound to specific buttons? Like "need ammo" or something like that. Thanks in advance.
You'll be listening to others more and probably be utilizing roles that, while attached to a squad, will have more leeway with movement. Medic, engineer, etc, as your job won't be firing and maneuvering as much as providing support.
It's like trying to be a delivery worker, but not having a vehicle or bicycle. Technically you can do it, but it's not going to work very well. If you're not able to communicate, then perhaps picking a game that very strongly requires communication is not the right choice.

If you want a good KD while doing your job. If you want a good KD and just float around the map, then go play with the kiddies on COD. Just went 57-25 the other night, offensive, Omaha. US side. I went Rambo while also taking the points, flanking, and eliminating the team from within. I'm proud of that. I'm not proud of going 32-11, and losing within 35 minutes 😆 those suck.
Don't care about KD if you attack, KpM is much more important. In Public games I usually have a KpM around 1.1-1.5, so a game of 90 Minutes, I come out with around 110-140 Kills and a 3:1 K/D placing me usually at the top end of both, top fragger and top death. Competitve games are a whole other thing, usually I have a KpM around 0.8-1.0 but the K/D is around 1.2-2.3 depending on how good the enemy team is. But constantly delivering a lot of pressure is most important in attack. This is were most players fail in Public, standing at a wall for 2 minutes instead pushing insight hard cap or taking out enemy OP's and Garries.
Learning how not to blink for an hour helps

Sometimes if I get shot at really close, I immediately hit Z to go into the prone position and immediately either get to better cover if nearby, or I'll look for enemies through whatever grass I'm laying in.
“Serpentine! Serpentine!”
I’m up, he sees me… I’m down
The holding jump is incredible. Like you can jump really far away from something and when he’s about to land say near a wall he’ll actually just vault it.
Whoa
I learned my lesson in this game the other day, second day playing it.
I ran past a hedge without peaking and checking for enemies or being cautious, typical COD move.
Three dudes, just aiming down sights at me. I managed to get 2 before i died but I absolutely should not have and I mightve been able to 3k if I'd been more cautious
6:32 "and the grease gun will take 16384 shots at 4m"
bush cover is risky but always worth a try, because of LOD distances that we can't change, playing Purple Heart Lane the other night, and i am spraying enemy who thought they were hidden behind a line of bullrushes, but it wasn't loading in for me, it felt wrong but i sprayed em anyways
Yeah its risky, and I have heard some issues with bushes that I am testing out.
Me and my squad: "Sneaking along a hedge, around the enemy line*
Enemy machine gunner shooting at our tm8s 200 meters away in the other direction: "Let me just slide my aim over here to this hedge, for good measure."
Me: *Gets hit in the head immediately*
My squadm8s: "Git gud."
When you communicate and work together it's such an amazing time seeing airstrike coming in and you helped with coordinating it
Kd ratio dosnt matter sometimes you've just gotta throw yourself at the enemy to stop there advance
My first or second spawn ever in this game, i got over 5 kills and survived for a solid amount of time and it was probably the most addictive thing ive ever done
I die like a million times and on my first ever spawn there was a player on my team that was sitting at spawn and blowing people up as they spawned then I started calling him names then they kicked me

if you want to get kills, Learn the mathematics scheme of the artillery pieces.
get in an officer comms channel, or have a officer that gives good info.
Load up the HE, find your target and BOOM.
Helpful when scanning is to look right to left, the opposite of reading, eyes focus better
I really really struggle to get kills in this game, mainly because i struggle to see where people are coming from

Great video. I found one of your comments particularly amusing: squad leader is overwhelmed with chat, so overwhelm them with more info :)

Yeah, this are good tips that one could use/apply on basicaly every role; to be better on that role, on that squad and for that team.
Very true!
Great tips!
This Game is amazing. Thank you for sharing you thought's.
MrBonjourUsa here. learning a lot watching and playing.
On your first advice i definitely agree but ive had loads of success recently running support with a smg rushing enemy trenches and close quarter environments. I just cant seem to rally allies to throw grenades and stop the enemy from pushing open flanks.
Just a quick question, some random in my squad started calling me fam and I ended up just leaving the game because of it , am I a bad person ?
You sir are a hero

@@Myriip no sir, my friend is real lol
A lot of people miss huge things about this game in the name of kills. Like you get no points for kills really. holding position is where it's at. doing thins that your class is supposed to do. even killing garrisons gets you nest to nothing. this is why I laugh at gun bunnies. and out score them at the end of the game.
great one man! spot on
It's so rewarding wiping a whole squad of guys
With Sound, Visual and Map you can identify enemy garry with scary effectivness
i often found people just passing by enemy garry and dont even flinch at it, because they never looked at the map and play without headphones.
but those are more like a CoD players which often quit very quickly
the issue is even with Squad players, HLL isnt Squad, its arcady.
I’ve killed a lot of tanks by not moving, taking cover and letting them roll by to shoot rockets into the engine.
@@jantzenvest2695 of course, but I've also lost count of the amount of times our objective just gets pounded by a tank stationary behind a hedgerow 2 fields away
great video and tips, but does anyone else hear a super high frequency tone when he talks? I think there might be a recording issue here and man does it make it difficult to focus and watch this helpful video
#1: get your eyesight corrected to at least 20/20.
#2: get a massive monitor.
#3: uninstall.
What frustrated me are the bolt action rifles. I struggled to get kills with it but other players kills me with bolt action rifles like if it was nothing. Also i hate when i can't see the enemy but they can see me.
I feel your pain
Those little stops between moving have given me way more kills because you van hear them nearby.
In this game propper fire and movement is a thing, this is NOT COD or BF.
Also please ping stuff for your squad leader (Middle Mouse Button) and tell him what you have seen.
Remember! The bushes and grasses are not cover.
We all have our settings turned down and can see you clearly in bushes or foliage.
And by "we all" you mean "unskilled tryhards", right? Pathetic.

Funny. I am doing most of the things advised here but I am still getting killed by people I can’t even see. Even when I finally see someone I get so nervous by this unnatural anomaly that I miss. 😂I guess someone is just simply, hopelessly bad. 😅
Question: when you say “enemy 225” to your team, is this only from your position on the map? If you are spread out a bit and I am 30 metres to the left of a team mate and there is another team mate 30m to his right surely we can’t all have the same bearing?
Yes, as you say. But it is still netter than saying "behind the big tree". So give bearing, clock or "Southwest of..." f.e.
Best way is to say 225 from my position then people can relate to your location.
Thats true, but if you're close with your squad, if they look at that bearing, they should still see the enemy near
Don't use bearings as callouts. Use "north" "south" "south south east" in combination with landmarks.
@@sirlinie1384 this is my preferred method.

Guys need help. I play HLL for few days now,i'm just curious, why in (almost) every server i enter they kick me because high ping...i play on ps5 and i talking about Enlist
all very nice but with the PS5 joystick it is incredibly difficult to aim from afar and make small corrections after shooting...
Adjust the sensitivity controls when LDS. Looking down sights I think it's called. Do this in the practice range
Too many randoms dont use the spot funktion.. That alone would help...but hey..its one button press...too much...
"Stick with your squad".......... sorry Terry
:P
The spotting part is hard for me because i run the game at 20-30 fps on lowest settings so it's not very good quality and i don't see as quickly as everyone else
Play more slow or get better hardware basically , save up to upgrade your rig for next gen gaming and definitely don’t get a console if you were thinking that brother haha
I usually wander of the Squad but only in Defence when i got the feeling there could be a garrison or op and my SL ignores my thought but i usually right with my feeling
You're' still defending though so its all good. Plus, the only way to defend and stop the enemy attack, without capping their point, is to find their spawn points. So nice one!
You could also do artillary and just blast pings on the map
You don’t need ammo or bandages too too often. Don’t play squad leader :)
It's like trying to be a delivery worker, but not having a vehicle or bicycle. Technically you can do it, but it's not going to work very well.
If you're not able to communicate, then perhaps picking a game that very strongly requires communication is not the right choice.
How do I automatically get better at aiming?
Top drawer info, a needed insight to help grow confidence in the new guys coming up the ranks 👌💯😎
Get on the comms, use what we have at hand, we're never gunna meet IRL, so a mess up, wrong call of play, or language barrier of team mates. Many a squad late night are European dudes, they don't know you there unless you ask comms, or speak English guys ? 🤔
Many times, squads have come out of private chat because I have asked for comms when joining their squad.
We never gunna meet IRL, doesn't matter for fopar or fuck ups, pour another, roll another, what ever you do.... have a cracker 👍 👌 😎
Doesn't matter, 💯 of guys I know rather die with comms and good banter, than win with no comms or no humour.
Cos at the end of it at, this is the best game experience as a whole that's out there for teams, communicating, tactics, visceral dynamics, graphics whilst still capable to play 50/50 a side.
Personally, have resigned to creating a locked squad, comms with commander for garrisons and creating back ups before mid point has been taken.
Oh yeah, I'm a hero !!!
NO, !!!
I love this game and genuinely want to see it carry on and grow further. . . (Console)
Its the middle of the road MIL-SIM for me, doable and playable with limited knowledge of tactics and game play.
More than battlefield (or similair) but less than the games only reserved for serving military dudes, or the like that understand the lingo or willing ro wait for half hour observing a position for intelligence to feed up the chain of command. (Without 1 shot).

Yeah kd don't matter and all. I Just got off a match in Foy where my team won by a huge margin and I got like 3 and 22. I saw like 4 people, and stayed getting shot from nowhere. Sure kd doesn't matter. But fucks sake dude.
"infantry 300" is not as useful as you might think considering you might be not next to the squadlead. and he might not immediately can tell which greendot on the map you are. the best thing you can do it learn the grids.
KD doesnt directly matter but the long respawn times can mess less time to be effective
Can you make video about bullet penetration wood, steel, bushes, and bricks. Would be nice to see that 😉.

Lol, here’s the video. There is no bullet penetration. Unless I’m horribly mistaken. In which case, carry on lol
@@QNoland there is but it needs heavy revaluation by the devs cuz it barely works

@@QNoland yea but back when they added penetration, they said it’d be for stuff like fences and small trees, but even since then it’s barely feasible to kill someone by shooting them with any gun through weak wooden fences like the ones on Kursk or Stalingrad.
Man this game is ass but addicting

Jesus you can't hit a shot
