I have to say the community has been very welcoming. I feel it’s an older gamer that plays HLL as opposed to CoD or BF. the communication is more mature and vets take time to teach new gamepass players like me. The game is fun even when you lose. If no one is taking then it is a bit tedious and dull since you are kind of on your own and the game becomes so much more difficult. This might be counter intuitive but I recommend being a SL if you are new. It is the best way to learn the game. I did it and in no time lvl 20.

dont gotta be 3am for that lol. Just find a low pop server and hop in. Usually it'll be a clan or someone trying to get their server populated and they'll happily help you just to get you to stay in haha

I appreciate the fuck out of this video. I'm coming from Battlefield 1 so my first couple games of Hell let loose were just me being confused as fuck but after watching some guides my third game was a blast. Actually knowing what to do and being on mic made me feel a lot more usefull even if i still die all the time
The breakdown of how to take over territories and sectors at the end of the video was great. I have only recently started to play and have spent more time just hunting people down and trying to push straight into strong points like a CTF round. Clearly that is not the way to roll. There seems to be far fewer people that actually communicate and lead, but every now and again there seems to be a decent SL and Commander. Thanks for all the info!
yeah its a little weird. There actually used to be 2 capture points per territory, so 2 out of the 3 sectors would have a cap point that you had to take, not 100% sure why they changed it to just 1 now but its nice fighting in areas that you havent fought in in a while. Makes the maps seem different every time you play.
Started playing this about hour ago on PS5 and I’m 35 and I felt absolutely lost no idea what to do or anything never saw a enemy but they saw me constantly getting killed lol and I’m above average gamer but this is on another level!!
Oh yeah it is. Slow and steady man. Stay close to cover and concealment, don't just sprint everywhere, and hopefully stick with your squad. The more eyes with you the easier it will be to spot people. Definitely takes a while to get used too but keep at it!
I've been running around like a moron for about two weeks and this video was really helpful. Problem is I love the game but don't have the time to play much.
Yeah it's definitely a big learning curve. And it doesn't help that games are usually an hour long lol. Hopefully you'll have a lot of helpful people in the game to help out as well

Good vid but at 29:48 you mention that the BAR has the same ammunition as the Garand. This is true but mentioning that they share the same bullet type might lead people to believe that bullet caliber actually means something in this game but it does not at all. The garand can one shot enemies anywhere above the knee up to 200 meters and the BAR can only one shot enemies above the knee up to 100 meters. Weapon type and range is mostly what dictates damage done to enemies. Just don’t want to confuse new players. Also, about shooting tanks in the side. You danced around this a bit but I feel maybe we should clarify something. You say never to shoot any medium and heavy tanks from the side. This is true only when you are on the allies (and also when fighting any heavy no matter what side). The bazooka can’t penetrate medium armor from the side, true. But this is not the same for the German panzerschreck. The panzerschreck and two shot the medium Sherman from the side. You may know this but I feel it should be clarified because this is an important advantage for the Germans.
Well if you don't want to confuse new players trying to explain the different AT weapons and different types of tanks is DEFINITELY gonna do it lol. I do appreciate the input, but like I said in the description, it's a "basic" tutorial. I'm not even going over each loudout for each class specifically for that reason. Some people don't know much about WW2, and trying to identify different tanks is just gonna be a huge task itself at times. I'd rather just see all the new people go for the sure thing and hit the tanks in the ass, rather than someone mistaking a medium sherman for a heavy and doing absolutely nothing but scratching the front armor. Also as far as I know, a Bazooka round to the ass end of a PzIV on a side shot will actually damage it as well. I plan on eventually making videos for each class and going over them in much more depth and detail as well as the loadouts and when they're best used in whatever situation. AT alone has 3 totally different loadouts that play in completely different ways.
Good detailed video bro! Keep it up 💪🏽 one critique id say Is just sound like you are enjoying making this more, you sound like you were forced to make this at times. I’d love to play sometime!
I literally am a noob just downloaded it today im an Insurgency player so some of the controls are the same but as far as the overall objective /what to do/where to go im lost!!!! 😂
Enjoyed your video and found it most informative. I am looking forward to future installments. Can you do an update for consoles? One comment: I think the "F" shots are overdone. As you went along, they increased substantially, which is consistent with your consumption of liquid refreshments. I am not a prude; heaven knows I heard enough of it in the service. My main concern is the kids that will no doubt listen to this, and we don't need to encourage this in the young. It is the responsible thing to do. Thanks
The "kids" probably shouldn't be playing a game that is rated for 17+ years of age, and includes extreme violence and dismemberment. They're going to hear way worse in game. Maybe the "responsible thing to do" would be to monitor what kids play and keep them away from adult games. But I appreciate your opinion, but this is just the way I speak, because believe it or not, it helps a speech impediment I have.
as a beginner who was confused by the different game modes mentioned in the server lists, i strongly suspect this guy is describing in great detail, one particular type of match/game mode, but never actually saying which one his very detailed information relates too. brb, going to completely screw someone's battle, by applying the wrong strategy to a different game mode without realising it.

@@JK-cj2my hahaha sometimes it's like that. Best advice I can give is don't go searching for them if you don't have too. Find a nice comfy spot and let them come to you
or Squad Leader even. Still a good amount of responsibility there. You still need to relay any important info to your squad as well as other squads, plus the CO, get them (your squad) spawn points, hopefully inspire/lead them to the frontline, and ultimately build up some fuckin morale. Don't be a douche that just shouts commands and orders. be a fucking human that people dont wanna see die.
I'm considering getting this game. What's the community like? Cuz if it's just a bunch of obnoxious kids/teens or pros that shit all over noobs, then I'm not interested
They have a field manual for new players but unfortunately that would require them to read and they are not down for that so vets to the game get to answer annoying questions the entire match or get teamshot. Lvl 20 and under should be put into their own server.
Eh, I don't mind it. It's probably easier to learn hands on than thru shit like this tutorial. I'd rather show em in-game examples over this anyway. Easier to answer questions on the spot too
that's not a good way to treat the new guys. You too were new once, people wanna try out the game, and for all you know, that level 1 idiot running around with no idea what to do might just be a great commander one day
I personally first played Hell Let Loose on the Game Pass, after few games when I actually met some long time players and talked with them, they explained to me how the game works and I just got it on Steam the same day because I liked it so much. Its thanks to ppl that actually welcome new players and help them understood how the game works that community can get bigger and the fact that Iam on Steam and not on the Pass doesnt change the fact that Iam still new and learning so I dont see why there is so much hate towards Pass players, and before you mention comms, often times my squad members doesnt use voip even when they are higher level and on Steam. Just give it some time, weak will fall off and ppl that stay will learn
@@Shimmino exactly dude. I have over 1000 hours in the game I believe and there's still plenty of times I'll join a squad and no ones talking and they're all higher level than me. Like I said in another comment, I'd rather have new players like you that want to learn that vets that are salty assholes and think, "pft, i know better than this guy so I'm gonna do my own thing." Keep playing man, it just gets better. Unfortunately some days you get a shit squad, and other days you find some new brothers/sisters.
You’re completely wrong about the numbers - pinging something and giving a number does absolutely NOTHING. The compass numbers are only useful for tank crews, people RIGHT ontop/behind you. Your “302” is not the “302” someone 100m away from you has. If you’re gonna make a “tutorial” video… make sure you know what you’re talking about. Edit: you’re wrong about the strongpoints as well - or at least sounded wrong. The strongpoints are not the same in every sector. They vary in size. Some are much bigger/smaller than others. Also, blue zone garrisons lock at 5m - you don’t have to be directly on top of it to lock it. M Red zone garrisons lock at 100m. They also cost double the supplies (100) than a blue zone garrison costs (50). I didn’t watch the video, but I hope it isn’t plagued with more mistakes. Nothing is worse than commanding some idiot who thinks reinforce works in the entire sector, when it only works for players inside the strongpoint. It also only works when you’re defending a point that you already have control of.
So you clearly didn't watch everything and I don't blame you for that, but maybe you should before you start saying, "youre completely wrong!" Check out 23:03 and I literaly explain exactly what your saying. And no it doesn't do "absolutely nothing." It's fairly simple to figure out, even if the guy is 1000m away from you, where his "270" is because guess what, this is gonna blow your mind... I hope your ready for this.... 270 is West no matter where you look. Holy fuck I know its crazy! So if you simply look at your map, and look at where your friendly unit whos calling it out is, you can go straight west of him and get a much better idea of what hes saying rather than just being a dick and saying "thats not helping idiot." If you actually take a second to learn how to read the map you can figure out quite a bit of information. Also, if you're actually sticking with your squad and not being some blueberry off in fuckfuckland by yourself, your callouts are gonna be a lot closer to your friendlies. But I understand that's probably too much for you to figure out and too confusing so I'll let that slide. When I explained that the strongpoints are "all the same," again if you actually listened, I explained that they map randomly creates them when it loads, but they'll always be in the same 3 spots in each territory. It's not gonna randomly create one in the middle of a field somewhere that you've never seen it before. Thanks for trying to prove me wrong again with that as well. Your 3rd point, 5 meters is basically directly on top of it. 5 meters is 15 feet, shorther than the average length of a sedan. If a blue zone garry locks out, then yeah you can assume the enemy is "basically on top of it." Are we really gonna argue over 15 feet in a map thats laterally 6000 feet? I clearly explained that it costs 100 supplies in a red zone in another video that deals with placing Garrisons and using Support or Squad Leader. This video is an intro to the basics, not an indepth guide for support. Hence why I only spend a minute or two on each class. But again you said you didn't even watch the video so why am I even typing all this? Because "nothings worse than commanding some idiot" and someone who clearly doesn't listen or pay attention to shit.
Biggest problem I have is bullet travel. It feels like billets travel way too slow at shore and medium range. I shouldn't have to leave a whole foot in front of my target that is just across the street

Same exact thing as me Lmfaoooo, don’t worry in a couple months they will take it off gamepass

Ive been playing this game for three months now and am yet to see an enemy soldier
@@JK-cj2my hahaha sometimes it's like that. Best advice I can give is don't go searching for them if you don't have too. Find a nice comfy spot and let them come to you
You actually can fit four in the jeep.
well shit, I coulda sworn you could only do 2 for some reason. weird.
Pro-tip: Don’t play Commander unless you’re ready for it…..
or Squad Leader even.
Cuz if it's just a bunch of obnoxious kids/teens or pros that shit all over noobs, then I'm not interested
you need to have a PhD to play this game lol
When this game comes off gamepass 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
They have a field manual for new players but unfortunately that would require them to read and they are not down for that so vets to the game get to answer annoying questions the entire match or get teamshot. Lvl 20 and under should be put into their own server.
you must be fun at parties 😂
Eh, I don't mind it. It's probably easier to learn hands on than thru shit like this tutorial. I'd rather show em in-game examples over this anyway. Easier to answer questions on the spot too
Wtf you got one of the oldest video on youtube ????? 🎉
lmao I didn't even realize that. Guess so
Step #1 - delete the game if you got it through game pass. Sincerely - the hell let loose community
just say it you’re trash 😂
that's not a good way to treat the new guys.
Warfare is unplayable thanks to gamepass
whys that? too many new people in one server i assume?
@@Schneids likely too many players running around and not knowing what they're doing.
Probably the guy screaming at me last night 😂

At that mark I said, "and they can still see you from that gate." I can kinda hear what youre thinking but No, I did not say the N word.
Red zone garrisons lock at 100m.
We're is your video 🙄
Biggest problem I have is bullet travel. It feels like billets travel way too slow at shore and medium range. I shouldn't have to leave a whole foot in front of my target that is just across the street
