My God... This was an absolute trip.
I listened to this on my commute. It was cold and rainy, but I did not feel it. In my mind I was in a sweltering, wet jungle on a planet amongst the distant stars.
I was captivated from beginning to end. My heart rate only dropped a bit in the middle. This was an absolute workout to listen to. I felt their pain and heard their screams and struggles.
You have managed to write and narrate a story that I will remember forever. The music and sound effects were absolutely perfect. I regret not finding your channel earlier and listening to you instead of so many other audiobook narrators who just read the story out loud. You give so many extra dimensions to these stories I cannot even compare you to them.
I'm going to savour this feeling. After my heart rate has settled.

Truth. I'm sure like 80% of 40K fans want some cool Militarum content but GW makes its money from Space Marines, so in official lore the Militarum are terrified wimps who die when an enemy farts in the same solar system.

WOW!!! I listen to ALOT of audiobooks, ever since i was a child, but this has to be the single best delivery of an awesome story ive ever heard!!
Seriously pat yourself on the back and then go back for seconds because this is an incredible listen, presented with such eloquent intensity, passion and excitement, incredible.

How is this on TH-cam. This is the greatest audiobook/narrative audio I’ve ever heard, bar none. Absolutely exceptional in every way.
The warriors prayer on the outro equally spine chilling and inspirational.
Talent such as this is exceptionally rare these days and even more so on TH-cam.

You made me remember that GW did an article on these guys and suggested you combine the Catachan kits with parts from the plastic orc kits.
At one point imperial guardsmen could actually use orc shooters in 40k!
Indeed! Not sure they'd even work in the modern variation of 40k but I did my research and I'm old school!
I played back in 4th and I used to mix orks and space marine bits, the Ork arms fit quite nicely on the old marines, I played them as renegades with battered broken armour

I am in no way being hyperbolic when I say that this is not only my favourite 40k story, but one of my favourite bits of prose I’ve ever read. The atmosphere, purpose of description and pacing of the fights are fantastic, and the structure of the story stands perfectly and compellingly by itself, with a conclusion that hit me in the heart and made me smile.
I wish to be an author someday, and there are few things I read that truly set me alight with envy and desire to write as well as what I’ve just read; this story, and your narration, I genuinely think I will listen to every few weeks as I exercise, and will show to my old English teacher and mentor. I want to write like this, and want to remember what it feels like to want that, even when I don’t feel like practicing.
Thank you for your story and your telling, and I would stress, once again, that I’m not flattering or brown-nosing- this was fantastically inspiring, and something that I think I might print off and put on my shelf someday, because I wholeheartedly think it deserves a spot.
Now to dust off my keyboard and write something awfully subpar, and then to do it tomorrow, and the next tomorrow, hopefully just a little bit more deftly each time :)

As someone who has had the displeasure of living and fighting in a jungle, tropical environment..... It sucks.. I'd rather be in the desert, than go through that again... The jungle is unforgiving, and EVERYTHING will kill you.

I couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between The Jungles of Armageddon and my ExGf 😅 Nah I'm just playin... She's much more like the spawn of an unholy union between Drukhari, a Rattling, and Catachan Devil thats all hyped tf up on hardcore stims while transitioning from one underhive cult to another.

It really reminds me of another 40k audio story I recently listened to. It was about a "regular" soldier training in jungle hunting with a troop of hardend ork hunters. In my mind, it takes place on the same planet at the same time but is the story of a different group of ork hunters.

This story was everything. No final battle cry, no prayer. Just one last thankyou to the skyfather. This so much reminds me of one of the things that US Army Green Beret Roy Benavidez once mentioned about his service, in that he feels he was overpaid. True warriors fight and win, until one day they lose and death is accepted with open arms. Masterfully done.
