Been utilizing this technique for years and it always produces. Anything that doesn’t want to hit the lively lure will always turn to something that’s not moving that’s in the direct vicinity.
Alright, question. Right now large populations of walleye are located deep. Like 50+ feet on my local in land lake here in northern Michigan. We have decent days on them but I know there’s a better way so I tried this like I do in shallow water and what a mess. I got tangled twice due to spoon action and bait movement. Any ideas?
are you marking fish, they come up and look at your bait then drop back down to the bottom? try downsizing your lure... make sure you are tipping your lure with a minnow head. what size minnow are you using on your dead stick?
Dominate Fishing dead sticking average blue emerald shiners. I like the action of the salvo darter in glow colors but will change to a jig shad or a famous lure here in Michigan, the Swedish pimple tipped with a minnow ore eye
I've never done much walleye fishing but I'm from Michigan and I use hali jigs, Swedish pimples , small or large teardrops and recently started using a jigging rapala I've hooked up with a few smallmouth bass (10 inches) I was hoping to get jumbo perch with it or a walleye
I was hoping for something more advanced than telling us about a dead stick which most experienced anglers know about, but a very good explanation of how to use a deadstick for beginners
Where would u prefer to look for eyes on a really deep crystal clear lake the deepest the lake goes is 88 feet deep with only two main points on the lake
If it's got tullibee or white fish for forage you are hard up. Walley will chase them hard all over the basin. No ryhme or reason. Deep clear lakes with little structure are tough to find em on.
@@hatto018 yeah it's really tough fishing for um on the lake I live on I found crappies in a 40 foot shelf tho an a guy that owes a resort on it said that's the first time anyone has ever found them in the winter time
+Glenn Krzeminski thanks! not much cool info in this vid. I mean he coulda talked about removing the hooks from the call in bait and running two other baited lines or dynamic depth placement of the dead stick so the fish not interested in the agresssive bite naturally move in its direction.
@@miliigan why would you remove the hooks from the call in bait? If they hit the aggressive presentation, you win. If they shy off from it, and eat the dead stick, you still win?

Swedish pimple is a great lure. Are you fishing in the U.P?

those are all good lures for perch and eyes... what part of MI are you from?
Thanks for the tips.good tip

M&M Outdoors in my province the law is one rod per angler
Ralph H. Oh, I am in minnesota, it 2 per angler.
Here in Michigan we can have 3 lines in the water
Great video I do that too
Good video
Nice video bro
thanks man!
Always done this, plain red hook smallish fathead, or even crappie minnow
thats a great presentation when the bite is tough.. thanks for sharing!
Any tricks on catching a date with you? 😜
Use a dead stick... duh!

the two points are a good start... also a lot of times thoes deep clear lakes have sand grass... is there sand grass in 30ish feet of water?
@@dominatefishing9641 Yes theres some spots I noticed with the aqua view would u prefer to set up on top of them or off to the side

Bottom transitions... ie sand to gravel

Get to the point !
2:55 to 4:07. Essentially, drill two holes. Aggressive jigging brings them in, dead stick bait seals the deal.

must be a state regulation thing Im overlooking I can run three lines with hooks in indiana, which is nice.
Uncut angling said it first
Aaron also said it more interesting
So you essentially are just reposting the same technique Gord Pyzer demonstrated years ago in his video.. lol All that build up for nothing special.
