NPS is becoming better day by day. Of course annuity should not be preferred option but just like mutual funds, there should be availability of SWP (systematic withdrawal plan). Here, I would like to ask, what is the Tax Treatment on amount withdrawn from tier 2 account of NPS? (1) Is the entire amount (Principal + ROI) or only ROI (based on individual’s applicable tax slab)? or (2) Is taxability separately based on three different asset classes of investments i.e. equity, corporate bonds, government securities (E,C,G)?

I would like to mention one important thing about PPF that you don't need to invest fixed amount every year, the minimum investment is only 500 rs per financial year...So I used to invest in PPF when it had good interest rates upto 8.7% but now gov reduced it so I stopped and putting few thousands only..

Very good information bro... Thanks a lot..I have a doubt that can PPF be a better option for 20 or 25 years where risk is less and return is high?

Well explained Mukul but you have not talked about the compounding interest of PPF account, which I think is the major beauty of the product.

    • @chaaaaaaaaaaaad

Exactly. He wont talk about it becauae he wants to sell ppf and. Ake public fool because he just want commission. He is a smart and shrewd businessman only. He dont care about us.
