Thank you for helping my daughters' marriage. Also for the slowing of my husbands' dementia. My son needs your help again. I was with you all during the Poland trip but on replay.
I love your videos. I am a convert & have learned so much from you, God bless your & all of your families. You either have faith & believe or you don't. You don't have to believe everything you hear.
This was a great interview with Dr. Kengor. He was well-spoken, full of information, and very down-to-earth regarding a supernatural topic. Thank you for this episode!
There is a present day person that suffers the wounds of Christ … his name is Fra Elia Cataldo … he was once part of the Cappuccini order , the same as S.Pio. Unlike the stigmata in the hands and feet that other mystics have received , he bares the stigmata in his wrists . He lives in Treviso and he started an order of both men and women named Gli Apostoli di Dio… As Padre Pio says “ Pray , hope and don’t worry”… I try to pray this when I get overwhelmed. My friend , God rest her soul, Anna D’Agri has such love for Padre Pio … she and her husband had started the prayer group at our parish of Our Lady of Hope in Middle Village NY . Prayers for all of you and especially for Ryan and Jen 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I'm one among many who continue to keep Jen and the Delacrosse family in prayer. Love this topic and the discussion. Hadn't heard of Sr. Elaine Aiello (sp?). Looking forward to reading the book.
My step grandfather went to grade school and lived in the same town as Padre Pio. In fact in.1960 he visited Padre Pio on his trip back to Italy. Padre Pio knew who my grandmother was without ever meeting her.
@@jimmyh7529My grandmother always told the story that my step grandfather said that my grandmother really wanted to meet him and for whatever reason Padre Pio went to the balcony of the church and out of hundreds of women below in the church he pointed where she was in a pew and said she was a good woman, which she was. My grandmother always got emotional when she told the story. We saved postcards of their visit there.
This is very interesting. Padre Pio’s torture from these wounds must have been intense. I don’t understand why God would afflict His loyal minister. Yet, I am intrigued by its supernatural Source.
This is not just a thing amongst Catholics. It’s just that Catholics are more open to be able to talk about it. It often seems it accompanies healing ministry, where if you don’t respond to the Lord, it is painful, but if you submit to the Lord in prayer and for the healing of others the pain can stop as you allow Jesus to do the ministry through you and not by you other then by humble willingness to pray; “He was pierced for our transgressions and by his wounds we are healed. In Jesus mighty name I pray, be held.” We are a vessel, Jesus is the one actually healing by his blood. Amen I also think of the scripture that we are to mourn with those who mourn sometimes we feel the suffering of others, but that’s not an awful thing, if we suffer not by our own strength, but with the Lords strengthening that we might be able to connect them to him.
I was a teenager in the 70’s and never left the Church. From my perspective it taught inclusion and forgiveness, cannot see anything wrong with this approach,
The Catholic Church in the sixties and seventies was full of priests who rebelled against the faith. Maybe he could do a book on book on the Berrigan family Dan and Francis who burn draft cards in Maryland.
Please pray st pio that I will qualify for the monthly support insurance and that it would start very soon ❤ thank you God and St pio ❤ please pray my rosaries with me and let me never tire of praying them❤
The problem I have with these, especially in the hand, is the Jesus wasn't crucified with nails through the palms but through the wrists. Are there any saints with stigmata like that? They all seem to be through the palms.
I think St. JP2 reduced the power of the DA and changed the role of the office (created in 1587 by P Sixtus V) in 1983. The task is now preformed by the ‘Promoter of Justice’. Our Lady of Fátima, pray for us! 💙💙💙
This was a good episode. I'm very suspicious of all of the 3 days of darkness talk. What about people who live outside? What about people in other countries who dont have access to the beeswax candles or a priest to bless them. It just sounds like doomsdaying to me. People say, "It would be such an act of mercy," but not if you live in a hut in africa or are homeless. It would not be an act of mercy then.
Maybe i missed it, but after watching this i didnt hear a good argument for why padre pio's stigmata has to be a miracle. The things you said were essentially "You cant fake something for 50 years" Why not? Because you say so? "Acid can't do that, it just can't" thats the argument you're going with? "It just cant" is what 10 year old me would say upon seeing my report card. "It just cant be a B- it just cant!" Thats not compelling for the claims you're making. Now I hope there's a god as anyone who knows their own mortality, but when applying reason and science to the world around us, i dont see its finger meddling in our affairs. If there is a god, it would seem intent on letting the laws of physics and nature determine our story for this leg of the journey. All the best! Still an interesting talk!
As I recall, the nun in Japan had been deaf, not blind. Also, many people saw the statue of Mary in Akita with flowing tears. One doesn't have to accept just the Sister's word for it. Personally, I still think Faustina was a fraud. Nevertheless, fantastic podcast! Thank you!
One thing people haven’t considered is that these bleedings of the hand is supposedly where the nails were driven into Christs hands. This is completely wrong the wounds were in Christs wrists by the nails because the hands couldn’t support Christ weight on the cross but the wrists could. Therefore these stigmata wounds are completely fake.
But if you read scripture, you see that God is symbolic. I said this is someone who isn’t symbolic, but I can’t deny how often God uses symbolism to speak.
My first thoughts would be he was deliberately hurting himself. It couldve been depression related or out of narcissitic desire for attention and other people to think of him as holy. People have done worse things for "clout" as the youths would say Or, less sinisterly, it was just an injury that resisted healing. Frequent blisters on the hands can cause scar tissue, which can lead to granulated tissue that doesnt heal properly. I had a surgery scar that was like that once, wouldnt heal for months and they eventually had to cut out the bad stuff and restitch healthy tissue. Lots of diseases can slow or stop ones ability to heal too. Nicotine as well. Add to that the palms of the hands are places that bend and crease, if you've ever cut your finger you know that bending it can keep popping open the wound. Point being that if you were convinced that your wounds are gifts from god and a sign of your worthiness, you would be a lot less likely to properly treat them so that they heal. Thats my skeptical bias going in anyway. There are about hundred better explanations for stigmata than "its a miracle" but i'm still interested to hear your thoughts.😊
@@anthonylowder6687 He's stuck in the '50s with his Red Scare mentality, and he obviously doesn't even study the topics he critiques, given the strawmen he's so keen to attack. Even if I agreed with him on a handful of issues, he's laughably sloppy at making his points, which usually don't hold any water in the first place. I'm no whacky liberal either, mind you, but his ardent support of Reagan - whose funding is directly responsible for deaths of priests and nuns in South America - is way too much for me to handle. You can't take only half of Catholic social teaching and reframe it as some sort of defense of neoliberal economics. Every Pope since Leo XIII has vigorously lambasted what he most ardently supports. He's got nothing to say for the poor, and it gets old. I'm doing my best not to attack him personally, so I'll stop there, but suffice it to say, he's really not a very good representative of the faith. I'll give him credit for not going the Viganò route and attacking Pope Francis, though. Whatever redeeming qualities he may well possess, it's not enough for me to watch him yammer on for any longer than absolutely necessary.

That's not a very Christian thing to say or a Christian way to say it. God loves Paul Kengor just as much as he loves you. You might want to think about how He would feel about how you spoke about him.
Guys, thank you for the show. I am learning so much. My prayers are with Jen and Ryan's family.
Praying for Jen & Ryan Dellacross and family 🥰🙏❤️
Yup, this show is another winner. May the Lord bless Jenn and Ryan 🙏🏻 as Jenn endures her journey.

Did he say your grandmothers name or anything like that as proof that he actually knew who she was ?

What I like the best is that your show is sensible 😊
One of my favorite interviews 🎉
What happened to Father Rich?
I just bought the book. can’t wait to get it😊
I have the book on Audible, I'm looking forward to listening to it.

Interesting guy. You might have him on again. Still want news of fr rich. No judgment just worried.
I kinda of needed more from this episode not gonna lie.
I am an avid viewer of your show, may God always bless you guys and your families...
May I ask, where is father pagano? Hope he is doing well 🙂
One of the best episodes I seen

WHERE IS FATHER RICH
He should do a book on 1970s Catholic Church fr. Drian and mclaughlin. Such as fascinating time.
The Catholic Church in the sixties and seventies was full of priests who rebelled against the faith. Maybe he could do a book on book on the Berrigan family Dan and Francis who burn draft cards in Maryland.
how are you Ryan in florida and Fr. Rich and his mom
Padre Pio
Please pray st pio that I will qualify for the monthly support insurance and that it would start very soon ❤ thank you God and St pio ❤ please pray my rosaries with me and let me never tire of praying them❤

My grandfather was from Poland. Which made my mum half, and I'm Pole-ish lol

A bit harsh, especially with no evidence!
He seemed to me to be very informed on the subject and held my interest.

But I have seen plenty of pictures of Pio and his hands are fine.
Miracle
I went to high school with at least 10 girls that look like her. I don’t see why she is so special

Don’t be so quick to dismiss. Check out a Catholic Answers Open Forum from 5/6/2020 where Jimmy Akin talks about that exact thing.
