    17:45 - I'm very interested if you can clarify what technologies you say were available in ancient Hebrew culture that could enable them to compile such elaborate genealogies. Do you also claim that constructing a written record of one's family tree was common practice during that time of 2nd Temple Judaism? Can you provide any extra-biblical, historical examples? Thank you.

    I loved the story of the glow in the dark Rosary that you found. I also have one that I found on the ground during the Torchlight Procession in Lourdes years ago. I also converted the makeup desk that my daughter left behind when she moved out. A nice quiet place to read and pray. Love your show. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and conversations.

    One cool thing I learned this week was the Hebrew translation for the names listed in Jesus’s genealogy, specifically the first 10 from Adam to Noah.
    1. Adam translates to “Man” or “earth (ground)”
    2. Seth translates to “Appointed”
    3. Enosh translates to “Man” or “Mortal”
    4. Kenan translates to “Possession” or “Sorrow”
    5. Mahalalel translates to “Praise of God”
    6. Jared translates to “Descent”
    7. Enoch translates to “Dedicated” or “Consecrated”
    8. Methuselah translates to “Man of the dart” or “when he dies, it will be sent”
    9. Lamech can be interpreted as “Powerful” or “Despairing”
    10. Noah translates to “Rest” or “Comfort”
    When reading the translations the genealogy reads as “Man (Adam) is appointed (Seth) a mortal (Enosh) in sorrow (Kenan). The blessed God (Mahalalel) shall come down (Jared), teaching (Enoch) that His death shall bring (Methuselah) the despairing (Lamech) comfort and rest (Noah).
    Just another beautiful example of how the New Testament is hidden in the Old Testament.

      They are lovely. I received a glow in the dark rosary when I was 12. It helped me feel at peace for years. Alas, it lost its glow after about 10 years, but I always kept it over my headboard. Then some 30 years later, on a desperate night, it glowed again!

    I’m Chaldean Catholic and a fluent speaker of Neo-Aramaic. The Jewish Talmud was written in Aramaic (not Hebrew) and took 200 yrs to complete. Abraham was born in the city of Ur (not Babylon) and several astute Aramaic scholars are convinced he was Chaldean. There were many grammatical errors in translating Aramaic to Greek then to Latin, etc
    Keep in mind they didn’t have google translate or “spell check” for example MARANATHA :
    Mara = the Lord
    Maran = our lord
    ATHA or ATHE is a “FUTURE” tense verbiage (dead wrong). Here’s the biggest blunder in pronouncing the translation of this one letter (changing the sound from E to A) is the diff in past and future tense flipping the whole meaning.
    ETHA = past tense verbatim, meaning no need to call on him to come and bother his busy schedule(though never hurts), meaning the lord has already cometh and he’s inside you here and now since the day we were conceived.
    This is from a book written by George Lamsa (I have 2 diff publications) is probably the best Aramaic scholar since the Babylonian, Galilean or Assyrian scribes.
    Another word likely to be Aramaic >> Hallelujah :
    Hal = give
    Halee = give me
    So far, Aramaic 101, right
    Elaha or Alaha or Eloha (depending on dialect and place). So place the word Halee in front, so add 1+1
    Final meaning, GIVE ME GOD, comes across as “give me God and it’s all I need”.
    Shlama (Peace in Aramaic). ✌️

    God bless us 🌍🌏🌎 it matters how we work in faith while deciding every day yes or no ✝️🕊️. FAITH and fight evil, in the powers OF JESUS. People were becoming educated, to communicate and understand the lesson without going through the experience. Women are to be cherished and loved and protected. The children lost to gun violence, prolife right?

    Mary was not a young “unwed”Mother. She was bethrothed to Saint Joseph, thats already considered Married life in their Culture. Even as not from Middle East but in a SouthEast Asian perspective, we consider that Married life stage as well. As someone living in Asia, i will tell you our Culture here as a whole, since Mary is Asian too, our cousins we consider them our SIBLINGS. Im sure 100% Mary considered Elizabeth her cousin like a real elder Sister. Thats why she rushed to go there. If I had that situation, Id do that to my cousin/sister in a heartbeat as well.

The name "Joshua" reminded me of the 2002 lighthearted movie of the same name starring Tony Goldwyn as a stranger that brings a small town together including catholics and protestants. One of my favorite christian flicks. Fun fact, the actor who plays the pope in "Cabrini" also plays the pope in Joshua! (Giancarlo Giannini)

    Jesus was likely a Jewish (nationality) man who was a self proclaimed prophet. The fact that people are so invested in a person and concept is WILD. I grew up catholic and discovering science and education was the best thing to happen to me.
